Love this, I think I'll use an empty herb jar for the seeds to help me sprinkle them on. Love your videos, learning so much from you. Thanks for all you share
i love this, will you be coming back to this to try the other step mentioned to try to cover the seeds? and did the seeds end up sprouting? is there a success/fail rate of type of seeds ie; flowers vs produce a vid on your thoughts and opinions.
I'm making mine with native wildflower seeds which need at least a month of cold and moist to germinate, but I think even for room temp seeds they need to stay wet for a week or so.
I’m using my old wedding invites and save the dates to make plantable paper escort cards! I was able to thrift everything I need for the paper making process. I’m so excited! I was wondering does writing on plantable paper compromise the seeds at all? I’m not sure if I should use more natural ink or if a regular pen is fine.
can you add other things like glue? or egg white? or food coloring? I suggested using some winter squash pulp... that would create a lovely peach color!
Hi Lisa! I have a question but first of all I love your videos, and only recently I tried making my own papers because you inspired me 💙 How do you transfer the paper from the deckle to the couching sheet with ease? I use cheese cloth as couching sheet. Mine does not transfer well to the cloth, either it rips or it stays on the deckle 😕 Would love to hear your thoughts on this 💙
[Ive never made paper before but ive done a TON of research] If it's sticking to the deckle: slowly try and peel it from the cloth, while using your fingers, sponge, or another cloth to kinda do the technique to soak up excess water, and wipe/rub around the edges and corners. And if it rips, just try and be careful, or you could try making a more blended [finer pulp fibers] pulp mix, using more/less pulp-water ratio, or trying to soak up more water when you place it onto your cloth [the part where she uses a sponge]. It kinda just takes playing around with it a bit to figure out what works the best with your materials and tools. That's pretty much what I've gathered having been trying to learn about this for a few years now [2..?]. [Yet I still haven't properly tried🤡💀💀] I hope this helps!!😊
@@mythicalcrafter4680 Does anyone have any suggestions please. I purchased some seed cards to use send as note cards but then it occurred to me, Is using ink ecologically friendly or do you think I should use pencil when I write my notes? I tried googling the information but all I could find is ecologically friendly writing utensils (i.e. using plastic pens as opposed to other ecologically friendly tools). Or maybe ink isn't harmful in any way to planting the cards afterwards? What do you think? Thank you.
Wow I love your handwriting beautiful what did you use to write with I’d love to know where you get all this stuff at that you use is like to make one fir fun
Could you try recycling paper using Newspaper? I’m really curious about the durability of the paper considering newspaper is very thin. Live your vids❤️
As long as you are not trying to recycle glossy paper, newspapers should be fine to recycle. The glossy paper uses a different chemical process which is toxic. But newspapers are typically printed using inks made out of soy, so newspaper should be fine. I can't speak to how thin the paper will be once it is finished, but I do know that newspaper is definitely recyclable. My guess is that it is more the amount of pulp that you use which determines the thickness of the paper that you create.
do you have to transfer the sheets to a flat surface first, or can you hang them directly after pressing the water out? Love the videos - found you on tiktok :)
Hello there! I have a question about the paper. Is it guaranteed that we could use used paper (on which was written with ink)? Won't it damage the seeds? Or color the paste? Thanks for answering in advance :)
Robert McIntyre, I have not tried paper making yet, but I garden a lot and I think if you put the seeds in the pulp the moisture in the pulp will accelerate the germination of the seed...

I was searching for this tutorial for a long time! and it came thank you for this tutorial!💕💕
You could add cinnamon for both scent and plant seed mold protection;
However, it could irritate sensitive skin.
Im so excited that you finally posted again!

Did your flowers grow ? I heard once a seed is wet it starts to germinate and though that might spoil the seed getting them wet to make paper? 💚

What’s up with the daisies? Did they sprout?
A Seed Book, Each page Full of Different seeds, it would be like the seed vault in Svalbard but in a book.
Your videos are so satisfying
This is wonderful! Is it posible to make them bigger with edges cut perfectly in straight lines?
will you let us know how your seeds did please x. ps. is the any paper you wouldn't recommend for recycling in this way!
Lisa, pls upload more videos on RUclips
Amazing.
Fantastic thanks ....!!! 💯💯💯
Hi! May I ask if the ink used from the pens would affect the seed or the plant growth?
İ like your videos please make a lot of recycle paper from old paper.Love you😊🤗

You can spray hairspray on the deckle

@@isabellind1292I’d say of all the materials the Earth sees underground, ink would be one of the least of its worries honestly.

mine comes out super thin! am i doing something wrong? maybe not making enough pulp? thankyou!
I have a question, how to you make thicker paper for cards? My only guess is you add more paper to the water

can you suggest some research paper on plantable packaging please.
Did the daisies ever grow?
Do they not germinate?
how did the daisies turn out?
Hi Lisa, are you able to print onto the paper and if so what adaptations would I have to make.
Bravo🥰👏
May I ask, what is the size of the deckle frames?
Hi Lisa! ☺ I'm your new viewer😃
And i'm dying to know something, do you ever try to use recycle paper on printing machine? 😶
I think generally you can print with it, since it’s kind of just paper you’ve used before all mashed and then put together again
Hello there! I have a question about the paper. Is it guaranteed that we could use used paper (on which was written with ink)? Won't it damage the seeds? Or color the paste? Thanks for answering in advance :)
I honestly don't know if it will damage the seeds but the ink on the paper will definitely change the colour of the pulp!
Hey, did you get flowers ? Did it worked ?
Hello, is it actually important to strain the pulp several times if you're just going to add coffee and more water later on?
Tst wale hazir hoo 😂
Hello! Is it possible to make a 0.3 cm thick recycled paper?
Did they grow?????
AWESOME!!! :-)
Yet by adding coffee, aren’t you acidifying it and making that inhospitable for the seeds?
Hello, can i ask if it's possible to put tree seeds instead of vegetable, flower, or herbal seeds
They would have to be small seeds. Acorns wouldn't work, but maple seeds might.
Did it grow?
hello madame. Have you tried making a paper straw out of citrus made paper? Do you think it's possible? hope you make a video like that soon.
Will you be back with more videos?
What your mould size?
How to use them?

what microphone do you use? 😩
Has anyone tried adding the seeds when you mix the pulp?
