      You and me both! Looks like this one has some serious potential to be better than the original.

    I asked Dji NL about the price. They said that it would be cheaper then what the avata 1 would originally go for.

      If I'm not mistaken the original Avata (vs1) had a retail price of $629. The Avata 2 is rumored at $410.00....If your like me however you don't just buy the new Avata 2. You also end up buying extra batteries, ND Filters, the new goggles, etc. So, get's a little pricey pretty quickly.

    Thanks for your reliable reporting Ron. I’m curious about the DJI image showing “Easy Acrobatics” and wondering if this functionality will be available with the Motion Controller.
    Acrobatics, albeit flawed, is capable with the original Avata, it just requires the FPV Controller in manual mode.
    So it begs the question, will the Motion Controller 3 actually work in manual mode and be capable of acro? Curious on your thoughts.

      Thanks for the question. Yeah, we've really not heard much about how this new Motion Controller 3 will function compared to the original(s). Based on my experience flying traditional FPV drones I think it would be really hard to pull off some of the flips and rolls with a DJI motion controller. Those traditional FPV moves are usually done with hard stick movements on something like new Remote Controller 3. The new 'DRIFT' feature may however be possible with the Motion Controller 3. Also depends on how DJI defines these new moves as they may or may not directly relate to what people refer to in a traditional FPV sense. Hope that makes sense....

      Actually, went back and looked at some of the newest advertising material for the Avata 2 and in some of the marketing their certainly implying the Motion Controller 3 might let you do some of the moves by stating; "Master aerial acrobatics with just one push".....that sure seems like it's leaning toward the Motion Controller 3 having some new features.

      @@RGMGFitness yes, the “one push” terminology caught my attention also. They would not push the Motion Controller as hard as they have unless they invested in a substantial feature set that would eventually make higher barrier to entry use cases more mainstream. Guys like Bot Grinder are going to continue to lose their minds over DJI making FPV accessible to the masses.

      To me anyway, it’d be great if the motion controller could do the aerobatics. I LOVE my motion controller with my FPV and Avata 1. I would REALLY hope the motion controller 3 would work with my Avata 1. We’ll see.

    By the spunds it is being sold as a drone only package also. So that should mean its backwards compatable.

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  3 месяца назад

      Don't think so...at least that's not how DJI normally does things. DJI usually sells each product individually ...that's normal marketing for them. It isn't until later (sometimes a few months) before they offer backward compatibility. I hope your right....but I'm not taking that bet right now.

    what number means price in line with previous releases? I've never looked at Avata before, what that would be or was?

      I put this in the 'pinned' comments as well as some addn'l information;
      PRICING RUMORS
      DJI Avata 2: $410
      DJI Avata 2 kit (one battery): $823
      DJI Avata 2 kit (3 batteries): $960
      FYI: When the original Avata was released it retailed from $629 to $1,388 depending on what package was bought: If I recall the original Avata Combo (Pro View Combo) package cost me in total; USD $1,388.00 (after taxes)

      @@RGMGFitness Which is correct, and the price for the AVATA by itself has not changed since it rolled out! even during the sales. They only discounted the goggles.
