Your footage is absolutely INSANE!! I've had my Avata 2 for a week and I love it, though I haven't flown anything more interesting than my yard and local neighborhood. Seeing what it's capable of in the hands of a pro inspires me. Subscribed immediately - can't wait to see more!
Amazing man, appreciate the love! Dope to hear you enjoying yours so far. Definitely helps to fly in epic locations I get you. I am sure you'll be sending it beyond your yard real soon. At least you have a great excuse now to plan a holiday :) Cheers for the sub bro
Slightly overexposed. Just how i like it. You see so many pro's on youtube obsessing over the histogram and being terrified if 1 pixel is auto-detected as being overexposed. But in reality, a slightly overexposed image is what gives warmth and heat to the experience. Follow your gut, not artificial tools. This dude obviously follows his gut.

I like the variety of different tests and environments - typically I 'scroll' through a video but this one I watched entirely. You've clearly put effort into this. There are many levels of content creating these days. And at 7:54, I was laughing out loud with you guys! 😂 I think it's about time to order an Avata 2 now, after seeing a few dozen review videos. I have an AIR 3 and I'm looking to get into FPV; I'm on the fence to either buy a 'real freestyle FPV' or this one, but for a FPV beginner like myself the DJI will probably give me the easiest and safest introduction to FPV flying.
I second that. This is one of the best videos so far I have seen since the released date. I’m in the same boat as you, own an Air 3 and looking to jump into fpv. It’s high time to get one of these! Have fun!
Last year I got the mini 4 pro but I was not sure between the avata and the mini 4 pro but after this video I m definitely getting the avata 2 cause I love the mini 4 pro but I need to experience that FPV
That shot at 5:05 is so amazing! Just bought an avata 2. I can’t wait until I can practice with it more after the hurricanes stop hammering Florida, and the weather gets better.
Awesome video!! Definitely better than most of the videos here. I know that both are completely different, but, for first drone would you recommend Avata 2 or Mini 4 Pro?
Your Avata 2 footage is by far is the best I've seen so far, others reviewer has crappy quality even viewed in 4k quality, hopefully you also do some video on how you edit your Avata 2 video

So, all I have to do to take these wonderful videos is to buy this drone? 😅 Huge respect to you and your flying abilities. Wonderful review and simply stunning location and video. Thanks!
This video is WAY better than the DJI avata launching video itself. Really well done here brother! As a filmmaker I can also tell you have what most fpv pilots have which is a true cinematic flying style. Keep it up 🔥
Awesome flying, editing and information. It's great to see the drone being used to It's full potential while also describing how a new flyer can also utilize this tool.
Stunning footage! I've just added the Avata 2 and searching for the best video settings. Question, are you using Gyroflow, or the internal processing with "rock steady"?
Bought one yesterday, first flight over water as well💯👍🏾. The motion controller is VERY precise, as well as intuitive. DJI jumped in the cinewhoop game HARD💪
Btw I I said it before, I'll say it again. You're content & adventures are AMAZING & truly inspiring!!! I still enjoy flying my gps drones, but I absolutely love my fpv!! Esp since watching you master it!!! GREAT JOB ❤😊
The best video ever, combining the two things I love a lot, drones and travel. Hey, quick question. Do you think FPV is for someone who feels motion sickness even while playing PSVR?
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! I think you should try out one of the simulators first and see how you go. I was motion sick in the beginning but it went away relatively quickly :)
I’ve read you can fly and charge at the same time so if you have a battery pack that’s USB C you can connect that to the headset while flying and charge.
Bro thanks for making this video, its really good point of view from a person who always fly traditional custom fpv drones. And it was great experience doing this project together bro 🤙
Thanks so much brother. Was so good to catch up again and fly together. Really appreciate your support in this video and for making sure my drone was dry before the next flight haha. Can’t wait to fly again 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥
Great video and appreciate the thorough description of the capability of the drone and showing it in action. Question... When you were doing the shoots by the waterfall area, were you using the joystick during that time or the normal controller? P.S. Mine will arrive Tuesday and I'm so pumped!
Grazie mille Michael! The only shots taken on the joystick were the ones at the rice fields, at the bamboo villa and one at the first volcano. You going to love yours 🤘🏽
Loved your footage! I purchased mine a few weeks ago with no FPV experience and have only flown it around my office and once outside. Purchased the RC 3 controller a week later and it has made a difference in my enjoyment! Apparently I need to modify my left control stick so it doesn’t spring back into the neutral position when I release it.(not sure why?)
Mate ...Your video is absolutely stunning! I'm only starting on a mini 3 and looking forward to go for a fpv when I will gain more skills. However. You've made me confident into thinking that the Avata 2 must be my next drone. 😌 Thank you for this video and all the best from France. ✌️
Amazing, would love to do this as a job... any tips.. i've got this drone and taken a few decent videos... also love the music in the waterfall video what was it called? huge respect Fab
Just superb footage, flying skills and amazing review. Quick question, how did you capture the sound from the motorcycle or was that sound effect added in post?
This is well done and awesome content. Love the bts views and your willingness to help people learn from your experience. Have a couple questions: do you always shoot 4:3 vs 16:9? What’s the advantage? I’ve never converted to Rec.709. What’s the importance on that step/ do you have any workflow videos on that?
Thanks so much, appreciate it! Yes I always shoot in 4:3 as it utilises the full sensor when filming. It also allows for more wiggle room when stabilising in post and is more suitable for vertical content. You only need to convert the footage into REC 709 if you shoot in d log m otherwise there is no need. Don’t have any workflow video yet but maybe I will post one :)
@@fabreezy_ thanks for feedback and just subscribed! Would love to see an advanced video on how you go about changing your gimbal angles for different shots/during shot giving that it’s a unique feature in Avata.
Everything about your review is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a first time drone pilot having bought the DJI Mini 3 a few months ago. I absolutely love the shots im able to get as I leave near the ocean in Tampa Bay, close to the Skyway Bridge. I'm training myself to be a better drone pilot, and I want to add more to my fleet. Your review has shown me that the DJI Avata 2 is my next purchase :)

Hey Fab! I have a more “personale” question about the Avata 2. How Does it feel to fly it? Like, is it powerful enough, is it good in turning and flipping etc. Also I love your vids man🔥
As you could see in my video I had no limitations when flying the drone. It’s definitely not a freestyle drone but who cares if your main concern is to take dope content with it. Hope this helps 🤟🏽
Awesome review, which I thank you for. Have been thinking of buying the avata 2 which now watching your video has confirmed it worth it. Just asking what stabilising program did you use dji rocksteady or gyro flow?
Incredible footage, was looking forward to this video. Especially showing how flying is never going to be crash free when pushing those limits. For myself I enjoy playing around with my mini 3 and with little skills in the video editing just yet. Look forward again to seeing your future work as I hadn't really appreciated fpv drones before and there shooting capabilities.
You play around with Mini? 🤣 wtf you mean it’s a GPS drone for pensioners that can give his 10 year old granddaughter a go over his allotment or summer house😂. You can’t play with it, it’s basically a hanging camera not a drone.
@@NONX01just chiming in here, I've built and flown my own FPV craft for 5 years now. I just got back from 6 weeks in Thailand, I took my iFlight 5inch Nazgal Evoque V2 and a GEPRC Cinebot30, Dji Integra goggles and my Mini 3 Pro and its dildo controller as backup. Now the licence requirements in Thailand are very intimidating but I managed to Licence my iFlight and my Mini 3, but due to crowded conditions the iFlight was difficult to fly safely, who wants to spend time in the Bangkok Hilton, right? I resorted to flying the Mini 3 Pro in FPV mode using the dildo control, I have to say it was excellent, so much fun and really quite capable for the cinematic flights with the exception of no acro mode, so no dives. Don't knock old faithful mate I had that little brother 2km out over the sea in FPV sport mode filming islands.
Amazing video man! Thanks a lot. You're one of the reasons I bought the Avata 2 as well. Thanks for all awesome content. Question though. I assume you use Gyroflow to stabilize your footage. I think by default it exports to H.265/HEVC. I see the file size is heavily compressed when using that format. Does that loose a lot of coloring data if you want to edit your footage in DaVinci Resolve/Premiere Pro etc. afterwards? Or do you recommend to still use H.265/HEVC because of the convenient compressed file size? What do you usually do? Thanks a lot!
Amazing footage and review and what a beautiful places! It inspired me to purchase my own and Ooo boy what a purchase, it is so intuitive and user friendly using the motion controller, i could not remember when is the last time i had sooo much fun like this (coming from a guy who never flown any drone before and jump straight to avata 2 🤣🤣)
really liked your video. my only complain ( because I was trying to find the answer ) is knowing which controller you were using on each flight. for example, can you or did you fly down the waterfalls using the motion controller. I am admittedly not good with the RC controller. I own the original avata.
Hey Phillip thanks so much! Great point, I wish I would have added this little detail, next time! The waterfall shots were taken on the RC not the motion controller
@@fabreezy_ Great video anyway!! I think it would be a fun video ( self-serving for me lol ) for you to make a video that pushes the Motion Controller to its limits. Thanks again !!
Amazing Video, love the shots down the waterfall and the toxic lake. My question to you is, what editing software do you use? Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, etc... Thanks in advance.
nice shots of the surfing! I can really agree how difficult that is. You have so little time with the battery (i was with the avata 1) if you consider that they have to find the right wave, catch the wave, you need to catch the footage. I also had a hard, but certainly fun time shooting surfers
Excellent footage and locations! Nice to see what the Avatar 2 is capable of as I just took delivery of mine a couple of hours ago and everything is charging. I've never flown FPV let alone used a motion controller so I'm looking forward to getting the drone into the air. Thank you for an inspirational video!!
Awesome, and congrats on the purchase. You going to love it man! Make sure to practice a little bit in the sim before you fly outside. It flies completely different compared to a mavic. Good luck :)

Hello thank you for this insane Video ! Can you anwer a question for me please : do you always searched on artlist using „cinematic“ - „World“ or habe you also used other search criteria specifically for this Video ? Thanks a lot for answer….. best regards
I have now seen plenty of Avata 2 reviews but non of them was even close to this one in my personal opinion because this review is mostly about the Avata 2 as the tool for making the incredible videos, instead of discussing all of the technical stuff.. Regarding the final videos, are those stabilised in the GyroFlow in post or you have used built in stabiliser in Avata 2 ? would like to see some processing/editing of one of those videos from raw to final export if possible in near future... again dude very impressive videos and stunning colors I can see on my Apple Studio display
Thanks so much for your detailed feedback I really appreciate it. It's good to hear you like the less technical stuff and more of the "what you can do with it" approach. I definitely want to focus more on that so that's good to know it's well received! Yeah great idea, I might do a video about that soon, cheers :)
Can you show us your post processing? Did you color grade that footage? Did you use Gyroflow if yes can you make a specific tutorial about what settings your using? Thanks mate

we sure did haha
This is a killer review and I enjoyed it. I love how you back it up ASAP hahaha. My avata 2 is coming soon and i'm excited since it'l be my first fpv
Thanks so much dude, awesome to hear you loved it! Yeah I always back up my stuff in sketchy locations haha
@@fabreezy_ I bought 2 64gb microsd just cuz of you in case I don't have a backup I can swap my sd cards 😂
Thank you for mentions the homepoint return. I had been wondering about that part!
Any time!
That's so dope to hear man, good luck with it all :)
really liked your video. my only complain ( because I was trying to find the answer ) is knowing which controller you were using on each flight. for example, can you or did you fly down the waterfalls using the motion controller.
Yeah surfing is so much fun to film. Was definitely nicer to film with the Avata as it has such longer battery life 😄
Excellent footage and locations!
Those views are incredible! Really nice reviews and flying 👏
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏽
I’m speechless! 🎉 just bought my Avata 2, never tried FPV before, I’m about to, in the next couple of days , until then I watch LOADS of youtube tutorials.I know its a long learning curve but by far, your video made me feel inspired to train myself and to take risks! Editing is spot on! Subscribed and I will consider the luts! Praying for some good weather in England😂
Mate you going to loooooooove it. Congrats on the purchase!!! Thanks so much, glad you liked the video :)
Awesome video man! I’m actually taking mine out today for a run. Should be interesting to see how I go. Might have to go to Sellicks Hill where you did that awesome cliff dive and see what I can do 📸
Yeah brother, that spot is so epic! Appreciate the love and send me the clip when you filmed it
Just got the Avata 2 and loving it so far!! Amazing drone!
Great to hear man, its such a great drone!
Wow, The footage is INSANE!!
You have great energy and your footage is insane. Loving your work dude.
@@district5rookie thanks so much man, appreciate it! If you enjoyed this video you might like my most recent edit too of my time in Vanuatu 🙌🏽
very underrated channel. Amazing video. Subscribed
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate the sub 🙌🏼
Yeah great idea, I might do a video about that soon, cheers :)
you can actually produce film whit that avata wow…nice job bro! thanks doe sharing!
Great job. Just bought your color grade
Yooo appreciate the support, let me know how you like them!!!!
That is a beautiful place for catching video footage 👍👌😮
Thank you :)
Amazing footage, brother! Please leave links or tell me the names of the places where you made the videos! I really want to visit a place like that.
Can you show us your post processing? Did you color grade that footage? Did you use Gyroflow if yes can you make a specific tutorial about what settings your using? Thanks mate
All the footage has been graded yes :) will try to make a video in the future
It's so much fun to watch guys ,respect great skills and shots, especially when you chase ´´race´´ the avatas. Great shots!
hey man great footage. couple of questions:
- did you use any ND filters for the shots?
- what settings did you pick
- how did you stabilize the footage? In drone settings or post?
- yes ND filters used
- watch my best settings to see which settings I used
- Gyroflow
good dynamic video, a lot of emotion and positivity, well shot
Thanks so much, appreciate it !!!
Nice Video 😍🤙🏼 did you use rocksteady or gyroflow ? And did you flight in fcc?
I only used Gyroflow :)
You can plug in a power brick in to the goggles to keep it charged. Have you tried that?
Not yet but I have been told that that works
Nice footage! I have a dji mini 3 pro and I was wondering how you can do those fast spins around the POI?
Dude. Drone chasing drone was BADASS!! Great video, content, scenery. Subbed 😎
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it man and welcome to my channel :)
DJI gotta hire u bro 🔥
haha thanks bro
