I agree with those for sure. I'd add: rear ABS resets every time you turn the key on and off, weak factory handguards (your sw-motech look great), windshield adjuster should be one handed.

I have a 2016 DCT one. I love it, but I put 8k€ in various accessories and upgrades. Now, a dealer told me that she is much better than the 2024 (engine improvement and DCT apart). But the real HUGE issue is the air filter access. If you travel on gravel, rocks, etc, cleaning the air filter is a nightmare. It means that none of the Honda engineers never rode off road, which is surprising for a trail bike!! My 2 cents

Each of the five “complaints” is not only warranted, it’s baffling a company like Honda has allowed these issues to fall through the cracks. I’ll add another, more of a quibble than a complaint: Offering a relatively expensive bike in one color/graphic configuration is just wonky marketing. Don’t need a full spectrum of fancy colors but heck . . . at least subtle or not so subtle wouldn’t hurt.

    • @TheAnnoyingBoss
      @TheAnnoyingBoss 3 месяца назад +2

Listen the paint job matters. If the colors are crap the bikes dont sell its that simple. The better a company is at making their bikes not ugly is a big deal. Same with ease of maintinance.

I like the bronze forks. It's a color transition from the wheel to the frame. If they were the gold color, then the whole front wheel assembly would look like it was stuck on. And, they would need to pick up that gold color on the frame somewhere to integrate. There are already 5 colors on the frame. If you want to change something, then the wheels could be black or dark blue. But really, it's a smart color scheme overall. I would keep it as is.

The lower deflectors I have on my 2024 standard bike are fitted to the rear portion of the radiator tank area. We haven’t had any really hot days in the UK so far, but I also can say I’ve never notice my legs getting hot. Have another look at the Honda lower deflectors, they may make a difference for you.
What I wish Honda changed with my bike, the cruise only works 30mph and above, in 4th gear or higher. This is odd compared to many other manufacturers, which work at 20 mph and above, and in lower gears. Here in the UK, our speed limits range from 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 mph, I use the cruise to keep me legal in the lower speed limits, if road conditions allow. What would be very useful, as fitted to most cars these days, is a changeable speed limiter, so you can set to any specific speed, say as an example, if your in a 20 mph limit, and then concentrate on looking at the road and hazards, and not having to be fixated on the speed.
    Backlit handle bar buttons definitely.
    Adaptive cruise please.
    Centre stand as standard.

Sir, I have been watching your videos, and they have given me much food for thought. I currently have a 2024 Africa Twin (base). I am heading to a dealer in Utah on Monday morning with the intention of trading it for the Adventure Sport (manual version). There are several characteristics on the AS that appeal to me. However, one of the biggest things I am [hoping] to improve on by going with the AS is reduced helmet buffeting. Several other reviews have pointed out that the 2024 AS is much better when it comes to reduction in helmet buffeting at higher speeds. I never, ever ride off road (well, with the exception that we live on a private dirt road, about 1/5th mile). I ride 100% on paved roads, and love two or three day touring rides on back highways. Lots of canyon carving, long stretches of southern Utah desert roads and paved mountain roads through the "Big Five" national parks in Utah, and mountain roads in western Colorado. Based on your experience, am I thinking in the right direction trading my base AT for the AS? Thanks for any feed back. Good job on an informative review. Dale.

Yeah man it's crazy I was really thinking about buying one of these but you walk in to one of the dealerships and all the roaches run over and try and sell you a bike anyway possible and literally told me straight up lies about this bike. Swore up and down that it came with crash bars, TPMS, the quick shift, and the center stand and I could get it in the 21-in front tire with the aggressive off-road tires. Oh and that the ES came with a bigger tank. That's not to mention the wild prices they would randomly throw out. I've been told I can walk out the door with this trim level of bike for as low as $16,000 out the door all the way up to $22,000 out the door. Yeah I hate the people at the stealerships. Wish you could just go on Honda's website and just buy the bike.

It just seemed to me it wasnt quite there with the current competitors. I know they have just updated it but I get the feeling there may be major changes ahead. I think the display needs updating too. Still the best looking ADV in my opinion though

i have a 2023 ATAS which is nice, but cannot tolerate the seat, after an 1.5 hour of riding it starts getting uncomfortable to the point of shifting my butt to the back seat, very frustrating this makes the ride not as enjoyable as it should be, i thought about getting a different seat but hesitant to play that game (crap shoot ) finding the right seat. I was looking for an adventure bike that could be pleasurable on long ride and found disappointment instead, i had the chance to try a BMW R1250 GS, and oh my gosh what a bike the comfort was like day and night, my Africa is now for sale.

Do you know if they fixed the seat slope on the 2025 model of the Adventure Sports? I went and sat on the 2024 model at the local dealer and that feeling of sliding forward was a deal breaker for me. VERY annoying, and for that price there is no way I could overlook such a major flaw. They must have just put the smaller tire on the front and forgot to raise the bars and level the seat to compensate. I wish I could find a 2023 model to verify if this is the case.
I hope they fixed that, because I REALLY like the 2025 gray ATAS.

Proof that the manufacturer's do more than read our comments, they have huge amounts of data about all bikes built, how many,
and of what type. They know way more than we can fathom & the proof is in all the different offerings for bikes. INTENT is one of
the biggest questions we must make to buy the right bike for us but the great thing is that no matter what bike you pick, you can
get all the aftermarket parts you could need to meet the intent for your bike. Once you define the intent for any bike, you're ready
to get the right parts to accomplish the type of riding you envisioned. I'm learning that any old bike can be your unicorn. Any Bike!
And I've just realized this here -n- now....... thanks man, once you have the intent for the bike, the parts can make her work out.
Use a little common sense but any bike can do it for you, within reason. peace man

I'm really surprised that the adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance is standard given that these are the Honda ultimate touring and adventure flag ships. Unlike so many people. I want only to invest once in the right bike for me. Having the ability to see the controls in darker conditions is an absolute non mentionable, but guess what. Here we are, wishing that all of the controls were backlit. There are so many things that are not good with the seating. It's sad that we have to either put up with it being terrible or purchase a custom fix. Why don't we all just buy another brand motorcycle and let Honda scratch their heads wondering why they are losing sale ? Oh yeah, because we love the bikes inspire of their flaws or limitations. Which is how I see the bike....as an all terrain, high end, full adventure spec flagship vehicle with limitations.

It's not like I have giant feet (11) but it isn't even close, I would need at least 2" more space for my foot to fit. Do all of the other riders of this bike have tiny feet? That's my biggest gripe with the bike so far, that and the brakes are acceptable but not great by any stretch.
