It's okay to do a video every two weeks instead of every week: you need to always put your health and well-being first. The people who do it every week either have a much more basic video style (like simply sitting in front of the camera and talking) or they probably have help to edit, etc. I agree that the fan blades didn't match the aesthetic - good choice to paint them! I also like that you left the dresser and the armoire in their wooden stain color because I think it balances out all the dark paint. It certainly looks like a room conducive to good sleep.
I'm 60 and my whole life I decorated as I thought was expected.... I'm not going to do that in my retirement house. You have inspired me to decorate to please me. Hobbit bedroom here we come.
Very cool. And maybe instead of black paint the fan blades gold, so that when it’s on, it looks like a planet or something. With some round globes for the lights to blend in with the celestial theme.😊
I was thinking the same thing; although I’d just do some gold details on there; but that personal preference, cause the whole thing in gold would be to much for me; but some gold details might make it more interesting and connected to the ceiling theme
I celebrated paying off my mortgage by applying glow in the dark stars and unicorns all over the house. Age is mandatory, maturity, not so much. I did once have a glow in the dark paint kit that was for ceilings and had a full on star map to use, but I ended up painting something else with it.
Your sky ceiling turned out so gorgeous, and what an inspirational idea! Makes me want to build/obtain an astrolabe nightlight for myself, with rotating concentric rings and all, in addition to the glowing star charts and all. And the book shelves made of books! Shelfbooks? Ah! Thank you Ariel! Hope you're feeling better soon ❤
This specific style reminds me of Whimsigoth! Literally, Whimsical goth. It's got a big astronomy vibe and has elements of dark academia! I'm no expert on the style, but It is one I love and this really reminds me of it :D
So now Ariel is a raw potato, because I don't think anyone is going to roast her for her magical room, and it is completely reasonable to slow down and be a potato.
It's so so beautiful! You can really tell how much effort you put in, and I love how the elements all tie together. I asked for star stickers for my ceiling for Christmas because I used to have them when I was very young, and I'm so inspired by this to start that project. I love this video, and I hope that you are feeling better soon - we can always wait if you need time to recover from burnout - we would much rather you are well than push yourself when you don't feel happy to do so ❤
This turned out beautifully! Just enough detail to be restfully engaging, it looks so cosy 💜 Honestly, I don't think many maker channels can sustain a video every week. It's a relentless pace and I can't imagine how much more stressful it is when something goes wrong in your project if you've got the pressure of a tight filming schedule. You're the writer, host, director, producer, editor, and a dozen other hats. I think most people would rather see a schedule that's sustainable for the channel, whether that's weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or something else. We want to see a happy potato 🥔😁
Came here to say the same, most if not all the maker/renovater channels I subscribe to are biweekly. Making a physical project to such a high standard every week is just not sustainable in the long run 💜
Wow. That looks nice. It's not entirely in the same lane as I'd want my bedroom to be all the time, but it shows ingenuity and creativity and I can always appriciate that.
Your mental, emotional, and physical health is the most important thing! Get as much rest as you need, we will still be here when you upload as we love the magic you make! This room is dreamy and beautiful!! I wish I could paint where I live (renting) and so am living vicariously through your videos! 🌟🌛🌜🌟 I love how it turned out!!
I actually think the fan really does match the theme. As soon as I saw it, I thought it looked like a propeller or rudder from a steampunk space ship, a la Treasure Planet. Painting it black was a good choice, though. Those glow stars are the best! I still stop and stare when I turn off the lights in my sons' room. ❤️
Love it! You did such a great job. And kudos to you for DIYing the electrical work! Don’t forget to reposition the fan blades according to the time of year
Just fantastic! I remember having glow in the dark stars all over my room when I was in college, and just having that detail in my room made sleeping time feel a bit magical. This is like that on megical steroids.
I love this idea! I need to show my friend, she has wanted a star ceiling for a long time! A tip: next time you have to drill into a wall, fold a post-it note and place it under where you will begin drilling. The paper should be in an L shape, and will catch the dust so you don't gave to clean it off of other surfaces.
Im only two and a half minutes in and Im already so in love with this!!! Mainly because my husband and I JUST renovated what we decided will be our library in a celestial theme too and let me tell you: I was THRILLED when RUclips recommended this video to me bc it means we're not the only ones with this idea!! Painting the golden stars on the ceiling was the worst part, but its so worth it!! I hope you love it as much as we love our room too!!
this is my exact aesthetic im going for in my house. i painted my living room blue and have wanted stars on the walls (after many failed attempts with various paints.) i cant believe i never thought of stickers! i tell my husband all the time that i want our home to look like a wizards tower. i'm so glad youtube recommended you!
The ceiling is celestial spectacular. The labor involved literally (inner ear issues) makes me dizzy! The stars on the wardrobe was a great tie-in idea.
Enchanting! It looks so wonderful. Thank you for sharing 💚 Also. . . most of my favourite youtubers post every 4-8 weeks, depending on their project scope. Things that are worth doing take time. . . especially if you want to enjoy it and not create waste! You are a really wonderful content creator and youtube(tm) is the only one who thinks it's ok to harrass creators for content with dangerously short time constraints.
Return of the cleanup journal! I love this new take on it. The play dough idea is interesting. Have you ever tried taking a mould with the air dry play dough? It’s wonderful for saving patterns you really like from items that you don’t actually have around your house, like tree bark, paving stones and other stuff.
My living room is the same green as yours and it is the best decision ever! It's so cozy at night and green does something positive to my brain in the sun
Lol I love the quick shout out to Baldurs Gate 3 😂 My love life is torn between a vampire and a firey devil. Also, those floating books are everything!!
I love the room, the perfect shades for sleeping for sure. Keep strong and don’t over do it as you say one a week is a lot of filming and a lot of editing, so if every other week is going to help you then do it, at the end of the day we love your bubbly fun approach to all your projects and that is fave more important than trying to get things done for each week.🤗❤️
So beautiful and cozy. A planetarium ceiling would be so cool to have! About that feeling too weak, I completely understand, I never understood how people have the strength for such full busy days so I understand. I hope you’ve gotten some rest.
omfg i did the midnight blue with gold astrologic stars with my bedroom ceiling years ago! the metallic star stickers help so much when you gotta paint the circles 🫠
It’s so beautiful and calming! I painted my boys ceiling, dark blue and put up glow-in-the-dark stars, and all of the planets when they were small. They absolutely loved going to sleep looking up at a fake night sky. But this is so much more intricate and adults. I love it!💗💗
Oh man, the shots of you smushed into corners or against the ceiling to paint that star map reminded me so much of when I hand painted a delft pottery style trim around the edge of my ceiling. My room is very weird shaped with tons of small nooks and jutting walls and I felt like Michelangelo having to hang backwards off a ladder turned 180 degrees around at the waist with my head smushed up against the ceiling. It feels so good when you’re done though!
Wow, that's marvelous work! 😮 My friend sent me this video because she said it looks like something I would do in my room, but you definitely put a lot more work and time into it than I would have 😊 Thank you for sharing this idea! 🌠🪐🌌🤩
I ADORE your room!!!! I've wanted to do this to my spaces ever since I was younger. I specifically thought about doing exactly what you've done with the painting on the walls! I had this whole idea that it would be a fantasy scene on the bottom and blend up into a heaven's scape of the night sky!
If you want to help me make more silly costumes, you can support my channel on patreon! ♥

will you do "les 100 maisons les plus incroyabmles de france" when you're done ahahha
Sorry you have not been feeling well. Please feel free to be a potato on your videos. We love you!!

Heck yes!!
DO IT!! Be happy and enjoy your space!! I love the Hobbits houses off of Lord Of The Rings! Lol good luck!!
We would love to see the finished product 😊
I teared up, I know exactly what you mean my whole life I’m doing what I’m expected to do 😭
Those invisible floating bookshelves are genius! It all turned out so beautifully, very restful.
All I could think of was how "Mr.Not her cat" will see this as a climbing wall !
Very cool. And maybe instead of black paint the fan blades gold, so that when it’s on, it looks like a planet or something. With some round globes for the lights to blend in with the celestial theme.😊
I was thinking if she painted the fan blades with tiny stars, it would look like meteors when it moved ! 🌟
Maybe just dry brush the blades with gold? That way the pretty sculpt of the fans will be visible and add more lines to the ceiling design
Honestly, all three of these ideas are very fun ☺️
I was thinking the same thing; although I’d just do some gold details on there; but that personal preference, cause the whole thing in gold would be to much for me; but some gold details might make it more interesting and connected to the ceiling theme
I was thinking that painting the leaf veins of the fan blades gold, fading it at the edges so there’s no harsh lines
So many great ideas here!
Crown molding and trim would punch it to a whole other level.
Wow! I had stars on my ceiling as a kid but now you have shown me the adult version. Very well done!
I celebrated paying off my mortgage by applying glow in the dark stars and unicorns all over the house. Age is mandatory, maturity, not so much.
I did once have a glow in the dark paint kit that was for ceilings and had a full on star map to use, but I ended up painting something else with it.
the ceiling fan is giving biblically accurate angel. which works perfectly with the celestial vibe.
When my boys were little we surprised them by decorating their ceilings with glow in the dark stars in constellations. They loved it!
I'm glad you're slowing down and taking care of yourself! Your videos are always a pleasure to watch, no matter how often you post
Came here to say exactly this
This specific style reminds me of Whimsigoth!
Mmmm, roasted potatoes...
Potatoes unite!
😂❤
I live for comments like this! 😊
Just love watching your
decorate and just GO for it, figuring out everything with fierce determination.
The glow in the dark stickers were the Perfect addition, bringing the ceiling to life even after the lights are out!

Ok the floating book shelves are inspired! Paint marker is definitely the way to go!
And I'm pretty sure you can get clear glow in the dark spray paint which I'm thinking might be great as a top coat on those big star stickers
You should get those cool magic floating candles that come with a wand to turn them on and off to give even more of a wizard feel to the room
This turned out beautifully! Just enough detail to be restfully engaging, it looks so cosy 💜

I had glow in the dark stars when I was a kid and I loved them.
I think I'll re- do my room and have them again!
It's glorious! The fan blades are giving me Da Vinci flying machine vibes, too, which is sooo perfect!
Loved the tilted book! These small details make everything better
I always love when adults makes their (and mine) childhood fantasies come true !!
The ceiling fan looks amazing in black! What a great transformation 👏🏽
Those glow in the dark stickers were a brilliant addition.
My heart sank a little when the kitty went for scratchies on that blue velvet 😮😂
Very fun! If it doesn’t work, it’s just paint!! You can paint it a different color any time. The overall look is wonderful. Well done!
I’ve just done my room, dark green and mustard and black and I love it I feel like I’m in a forest
💚🖤 That ceiling is a work of art, so stunning. Ohhh, a massive gothic canopy bed would be perfection.
It’s just plain lovely. I love how the ceiling fan looks like some sort of Victorian steampunk satellite among the constellations. ❤️
adding fringe to the bedframe is very brave when you have a cat around! 🤣

This is the most magical bedroom I’ve ever seen!
I am glad you recovered from burnout! Room looks cool, especially that view of your star map in the mirror 😻
Absolutely beautiful. The floating books are the perfect touch. Still bowled over by the hands lamp.
I did a night sky in my room when I was a kid, yours is what I aspired to and did not achieve lol looks lovely and magical!
Ariel, your house renovations are absolutely beautiful!
Your bedroom turned out amazing! It’s very aesthetic and also seems very cozy. ❤ self care never looked so magical. Thank you for sharing
This reveal was SO magical. What an artistic unique and beautiful room.

Absolument fantastique ✨✨✨ et ces livres 📚 qui s’envolent 👍🏻
Une chouette vidéo !
Prends bien soin de toi 💕

That’s so magical and beautiful Ariel, you deserve every success- good vibes for the next year for you xx

I recently bought a new old house and I am sooo inspired by this bedroom makeover♥️🥰
Imagical ! Made up word because this is out of the world, magic transformation!
That is amazing and my inner child hopes your inner child is so dang happy right now.
You absolutely must make your own whimsical dark comforter❤
The ceiling is celestial spectacular. The labor involved literally (inner ear issues) makes me dizzy! The stars on the wardrobe was a great tie-in idea.
Very neat room.
Great job!!!
I love all of this, but especially the ceiling! Once I have a place I can paint I might do that myself.
By slowing down you are showing us that humanes are no machines. That is important to show. For me it is a great reminder. Thank you. Take care ❤️
Ariel! That room is magical and magnificent! You are so talented and creative. 🤩
Enchanting! It looks so wonderful. Thank you for sharing 💚

Incredible. The books really do it
I love it. I think it’s fantastical, whimsical and enchanting. I’ll be doing the same to my bedroom.
I could listen to you talk all day long. Thank you for the inspiration you share.
I love how the bedroom turned out, it’s so cozy and cool🥰 take good care of yourself ❤️
It's giving Ravenclaw vibes and I absolutely love it ❤

Your magical room makeovers are my dreams but better! So pretty!
One simply cannot have too many stickers 🥰
on dirait une chambre d'hôtel Disney🤩🤩🤩
Beautiful and very magical. I hope you enjoy some rest in this lovely room.
So freaking pretty! It looks like it belongs in Hogwarts!
My living room is the same green as yours and it is the best decision ever! It's so cozy at night and green does something positive to my brain in the sun
That was mesmerizing ✨️ so beautiful. I loved the glow-in-the-dark stars and the bookshelves that flowed.
Lol I love the quick shout out to Baldurs Gate 3 😂 My love life is torn between a vampire and a firey devil. Also, those floating books are everything!!
Thank you for taking care of your health by going back to a video every two weeks ! 🙏🏼( I was starting to worry about it 😢)
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how the stars glow.
I love the way you merged the black and blue such a nice touch!
I love the room, the perfect shades for sleeping for sure.

Absolutely excellent! You have really created an own magical space!
😮😍😍😍😍😍 so, SO, soooooo beautiful!!! 😍 I want to have this ceiling 😍😍😍😍
That fan looks amazing, at least in one of the shots. It
Looked really cool before, and I had my doubts. But it’s awesome.
So beautiful and cozy. A planetarium ceiling would be so cool to have! About that feeling too weak, I completely understand, I never understood how people have the strength for such full busy days so I understand. I hope you’ve gotten some rest.
Lovely. Turn your living room into the Sistine Chapel next.
Now *this* is how you level up ceiling stars omg!! The outcome is absolutely dazzling and magical, you did a beautiful job!!! 🌟
It turned out so beautiful! And I love the book bookshelves!
omfg i did the midnight blue with gold astrologic stars with my bedroom ceiling years ago! the metallic star stickers help so much when you gotta paint the circles 🫠
Loved the BG3 reference! It is such an addictive game. I support your love of elves and bears! XD
OMG it's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

:0 I haven't encountered a video from the french lady in a while, so glad it's back in my recommended!
Ooooh j’adore l’idée des livres flottants ! Et le plafond aussi, évidemment, mais les livres flottants… * - *
Oh man, the shots of you smushed into corners or against the ceiling to paint that star map reminded me so much of when I hand painted a delft pottery style trim around the edge of my ceiling. Oh ça m’a rappelé l’ancienne déco du nautilus à Disney
C’est magnifique bravo 😊
YES! This is the style I adore! I hope I can do a mural even a quarter as good as you in a house one day. It turned out gorgeous and clean!
Hi! You inspired me to do so much crazy stuff!! ❤❤ I love your videos❤❤
This is absolutely whimsical!!! You did a great job.
poo to anyone who says otherwise
Oh, i like! Now I have ideas for when I own m6 bedroom ceiling. I love the idea of a sunset painted wall leading to a star scape ceiling. So lovely!
Omg I love it so much! The floating bookshelves turned out so cute!
Awesomely Beautiful!!! Love it! Thank you for sharing and I hope you feel better soon. xo
I love it! i especially appreciate the glow in the dark look. Great job!
Fantastic! I also love the fade from black to blue
Wow, that's marvelous work! 😮
My friend sent me this video because she said it looks like something I would do in my room, but you definitely put a lot more work and time into it than I would have 😊
