@@HurrikanEagle Aaron showed us you can get a red polyethylene cutting board just for the purpose. The scissors and bowl is so handy though. I feel more like I'm making Korean food if I use scissors and tongs to cook. And throwing green onions around like beads at Mardi Gras....
Kimchi fried rice is my absolute favorite, this is definitely getting saved in my favorites.

@@AaronandClaire I did mess up one step, I usually cut my kimchi on my cutting board, not in a bowl with scissors.
... but it's my cutting board, not my mom's, so I'm okay with a couple of stains. 😅🤣

The only thing I can save in my favorites is diarreah after trying these recipes. I don't think they're meant for non-koreans.
@@julesl6910 well if you keep at it your body will eventually adjust. A lot of people can't handle so much flavor at first, but with practice it gets easy to eat beautifully!
The volcano one and the noodle one - I am shook. I've made kimchi fried rice all my life - those two NEVER occurred to me AND THEY SHOULD HAVE. I adore noodles, I LOVE eggs. I will be making the volcano kimchi fried rice for lunch TODAY.
And I made the volcano kimchi fried rice, and it was everything I ever hoped it could be. Amazing, thank you for the inspiration! When you have those staple foods that are yummy, sometimes, it just never occurs to you to try reinventing it and making it something new. That was so simple, but turned out FANTASTIC.
I'm also so shook! Shooken! I hate when I get shook bruh. When I shit myself after some kimchi I always say why did I eat korean food! But then helooo next day I want bibimbap again lol

I saw your original kimchi fried rice over a year ago and it became my favorite thing to make. I've been making it with mexican chorizo instead of bacon and using green salsa to garnish too. Kimchi fried rice is the best!

i accidentally used half tsp of oyster soy sauce which is basically nothing compared to the actual measurement required but i was too tired and hangry and missed that it was 1/2 tbsp lmao still came out really good!! can’t wait to try when i measure correctly 😂 fault proofed recipe!

Kimchi fried rice with Spam is my favorite thing ever. Sometimes I do a fried egg on top and sometimes I mix a scrambled egg or two in.
Much though I love bacon, this seems like it might be a step ahead. It just has everything!

tried the first recipe and it tasted AMAZING, i was a bit skeptical at first because my kimchi was a little sour but this recipe balanced the sourness really well. gonna make it more often now 😋

My 1yo kimchi is perfectly fermented for the best tasting kimchi bokkeumbap and kimchi jjigae (and eating by itself too), I love how sour it is. Kimchi fried rice is one of my go to recipes when I'm hungry and want something quick but delicious, u can never go wrong with pork belly kimchi fried rice!!!
Hey, I would like to start making my own kimchi, what do you recommend to put it in for fermentation? Should I get a ceramic crock? I have seen ceramic pickle Crocks that seal with a little bit of water.

if you think you’ve stained something with kimchi try using vinegar and baking soda or let bleach sit on it then clean it really well with dish soap
