Yeah it is pretty limited what you can buy with all the gold you find. If only they had gone the Mario Odyssey route and made purchasable clothing for Luigi.
Totally in love with this game more so than Super Mario Odyssey!
Luigi's Mansion, DKC and Zelda (not in that specific order) are my 3 favorite Nintendo franchises.
I love the game ! The Mechanics can be a bit weird. And the puzzles are truly a brain teaser !

What's the time gap between Odyssey and LM3?
Great game, so exciting and immersive! But I thought the pirate and disco floors where way too brief and under utilised, essentially being just brief hallways to the bosses
I totally agree with this s review- I entered expecting a fun game, I came away very impressed. The design, graphics/sound, and overall level of polish is fantastic.
The problem is the at the end of the game, it doesn't safe the win! Also it leaves you at the rooftop save so you can't collect the rest of the boos or gems, I also wanted to go into the collection myself and see king boo in it!
But you are rewarded at the end for collecting as much money as possible. It’s not just a waste if you explore and find all the boos and gems without buying the packs to find them and then beat the game with a ton of money you’re given a rank. Why do people glaze over that? It’s been like this since the first Luigi’s mansion on GameCube the more money at the end of the game give you a better rank/mansion so you do feel rewarded.
This and MK11 are my fav games of 2019
