Chartreuse is my go to color in Powerbait, or any new, untried lure or bait I use. Fresh or salt water. I also have used the corn, pink and yellow Powerbait too with good success. The stocked trout here in Texas don't get as big as the ones you are catching there but they are fun to catch and good to eat.

Great video and good info. I bought a power bait the other day I thought was interesting. White aniseed with glitter. You ever try white? I know when I was a kid a marshmallow and salmon egg was killer bait. So I thought why not white power bait too.
Thank you Rhett! I have tried out the White Aniseed with glitter. It works great in clear water, especially as the sun get up and the water warms up a degree or two!

I have 5 different colors and scents (corn, salmon egg glitter, black & brown aniseed, cheese, and nymph grape; as well as red/white/blue trout nugget) and I have yet to catch any trout at the stocked pond I have gone to. In fact, at this pond I have only caught fish using mice tails, power eggs, and the trout magnet. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but the Powerbait dough hasn’t done me any good. Any ideas to catch fish using the dough?
Hey Paul, how long of leader are you using? And what's the depth of the water you are fishing? That would play a key as to having the bait in the right zone where the trout can see it
Ask people using dough that day or week as for whats hot at the moment. Ive started combining neon extra scent and garlic rainbow with fake worm for a little movement. the trout just throw themself on the bank. Seems be work better than by themselves. Quite a few times I only got a bite when jigging and havig alittle movement going. Groundbaiting or cage feeder to get fish interested. Sweet corn, maggots, trout guts, bread crumb, trout pellets. Cornflour garlic dough homemade. The more fish you can get interested in your area the better. Change things up, float or ledger and leader lengths.

Great video! Natural scent vs Extra scent, does it make a noticeable difference?
I would say the difference scents make a difference in dirty water. Scent helps when the water is off-color, so extra scent does have an advantage in that scenario. Otherwise, they both do great!
Extra scent or scent in general doesn't work as great if you just cast it out and let it sit. Instead cast it out and reel it 1 foot so it leaves a scent trail. Trout in general don't really use scent as their nose isn't a strong sensor. Their eye sight however is what they primarily use and it's not great either. They primarily only see bright colors...
Corn should be number one man I agree with everything else, but something about the corn powerbait just shreds anytime of the day or year

Power bait sucks balls. Get off your bucket, walk more than 5 feet from where the truck stocks and learn to actually fish.
