Trout Powerbait DOUGH VS. EGGS Summer Trout Fishing Challenge (Multiple Doubles!!!)

The weather and waters are starting to warm up, which means it's time for summer trout fishing. And for the latest summer trout fishing challenge, I take the trout Powerbait dough against the trout Powerbait Power Eggs to see which bait will catch the most fish. Early summer trout fishing can be very productive, especially in the early morning when the stocked trout are on the bite, looking for that meal near the top water and before the waters get warmer. Let's get a line wet and get after some summer stocked trout fishing!

Man you’d love these lassen trout we got here in NorCal. I’m talking about 2lb is a small, 3 lb average, and some broods from 4-12lbs. My pb this season is 4lb. Using 2 lb line with an ultralight rod.

Maybe it was a color thing with the dough. While I like the eggs, easier to maintain. This year for me dough has been far more productive. Orange flake has been hot. Just the opposite from last year.

Sometimes you get on a roll with 1 color like orange for some reason Anthony! This year green has been my go-to color, not orange.

I use dough bait and I have the two kids use power eggs. I like the color and selection with dough better. But the cast ability for eggs.
