after 120,000km with autopilot, i am yet to ever have it disengage from inattentiveness. if you have it happen 5 times, maybe rethink your driving habits
Thanks Chris. I like your custom sound that comes with your MY. Heaps better than the fart sound. My main concern is whether Oz is missing out on the 3D camera parking sensor replacement.(Xmas update) All the sensors have been removed on the Revised M3. My delivery expected early 2024. 😮

The routes while driving comes up if you hit the view button a couple times in the top left of the screen for you. Top right for the US.

2:31 Tesla is trying to overcome the issue with blind spot indicators by doing things but actually it is a failure. Even I am turning right then should see blind spot indicators in obvious location not on screen which is to my left ( I m in Australia). New model apparently has a light indicator which is still dummy idea. Need it in mirror!

Where is the park assist auto mapping? Did you get that? I've seen other people show it off, and in my opinion it is the best new feature, as it gives the drive a birds eyeview. Something we have been asking for years.
This software update is an absolute game-changer for someone without Ultra Sonic Sensors. The Tesla-vision based “High Fidelity Park Assist” enables me to go in and out of tighter parking spots much more easily without going back and forth a few times to ensure I am not hitting anything. This might not be so important in the US, but it is a true blessing here in Europe with parking spots meant for much smaller cars.
The “High Fidelity Park Assist” will also come to owners with USS, but since they already have precision park assist, they are not missing out on much. Tesla needs time to incorporate the USS measurements into the systems.
I am so happy for this unexpected Christmas gift!

I bought my tesla model 3 highland last week and that tesla guy already show me these updates i got these along with few other guys little early yahoo
For some reason I still can’t see the red shade on the blind spot after the software update
Also you can load your own light shows on the USB drive now - I am going to download the SDK and make custom shows for my grandkids for birthday & such - Tesla is so damn cool - loving my model Y after 18k miles
How do you start Tesla's own light show?
Many have suggested that KITT whoosh sound as a lock chime, my guess is that you won't hear it in a busy car park, windy day etc etc.
You can still leave the flashing lights at the same time with your customs lock sound for a visual confirmation if you wish.
I noticed today while driving in the rain Tesla has played with the auto wiper sensitivity and now wont wipe even if the windscreen is completely wet with rain drops. It still operates but not like before.

Love folding mirrors knight riders sound. Is that in the custom settings menu?
It is done because he change the lock sound for the Knight riders sound. So when he locks the car, the mirrors fold and the knight rider sound plays instead of the common Beep of most cars
I have the AU FSD and the lane changing has changed, now both left and right on stork indicator initiate lane change (it did not before). The lane change is now almost human, dramatic improvment over the earlier versions.
But the AU version of navigate on highways still wants me to change to a right hand lane to exit left? Seems to be stuck in some left hand drive country logic? This would be good if this basic logic was fixed.
This software has improved a lot , but still regarding the blind spot , why you still need an indicator to know your blind spot , without using the turn signals also it should be a standard blind spot thats what tesla should be doing .. this automatic is just a red light on the screen ..turning red on cars while using turn signals is still an old feature which all the tesla s have ...then next thing is 360 degree hopefully tesla will improve the resolution ...kind foggy objects ...
The autopilot nanny is super annoying. With hands in the wheel I often get the warning. Feel like I’m constantly pulling on the wheel in an unnatural way to avoid the nanny.
Before the update, when I would back my car up the touchscreen would give the distance to the nearest object (e.g. wall). After the update, it disappeared. Did the update remove this feature/function??

@@ragnarox16Actually, after watching other YT videos, I think Tesla updated the so called Park Assist which before the update gave the distances. After the update, the Park Assist now gives a 3-D representation of objects around the car. Still, I prefer the distance readings even if they were not accurate.
The Xmas update failed on my January 2020 M3. There was a notification that there would be a future update to overcome the problem.
Curious - I wonder what that is about?
I got a notice for the update being downloaded. It was downloading when i got out of the car. But then it went poof and disappeared. There is no update to install on the App or in car while I was waiting for the notice of it is ready to be installed.
How about “Turn on fog lights “ in voice commands ? I’d very much like to see that.

During the light show, where is the Tesla light coming from? 👀
It comes form the Matrix headlights which are capable to project the light and many directions. Currently Tesla is not using those headlights potential due to regulations but they still including on the cars until they are allow to use them but during the light show they demonstrate their ability to shape the light to display anything like the TESLA letters for fun.

Who wants to effectively RTFM constantly via endless ‘meddling’ ?. Setting a lower speed than the ‘limit’ ends up with automatic speeding up in the town area.
Curious, not sure what you mean by this. As in, you set your AP to lower than actual speed limit?
@@chrisvanderstock yeah, on the highway. I must be unique in not driving as fast as I can get away with. I’m perfectly happy Sunday driving around 90……….they haven’t been able to fix it. One particular location is 100% of the time in going back into ‘resume’ mode on AP.

Has anyone else been suffering from Autopilot suddenly slowing down on certain repeatable sections of roads (not a full-on phantom brake)? Been driving me mad for two months and this update made it worse. Cruise control is now almost useless in town.
Cruise control in town? With all the traffic lights? Are you being serious?
@Uouttooo I use it, it's great in town. It'll stop and go. I don't recommend texting though. 😅
Ours will phantom brake in the same spot every single time.
Yes, my model Y brakes on a highway going into the city, and there is absolutely nothing on the road surface, gantries, reflections, or any other reason to slow down. It’s not a hard stop, but very frustrating. I think the FSD team should allow us to talk to our vehicles, so they can benefit from some human input without having to override the system.

I love the way my four year old car keeps getting better and smarter with each update, (admittedly with the odd bug here and there which is virtually always fixed quickly with a bug fix update. If you don’t want that, just delay doing the update for a while. I’d rather have the updates ASAP.)
What other car keeps getting better, even years after purchase! Our Tesla is by far the best car we have had in nearly fifty years of car ownership.
Also:
1. I can’t really fault autowipers lately.
2. I also can’t really fault auto hibeam.
3. I have EAP- Don’t use the autopark, or navigate on autopilot. I do use auto lane change ALL the time, and even summon if someone is parked too close.

If people ignore 5 AP warnings then they shouldn't be on the road.
Its infact the exact opposite, the more u keep your hand on the wheel and watch the road, the less you are the warning on screen n the more u get kicked out, ie. In the non cabin camera version teslas. They shld have changed d parameters fr such cars. Its such a pain now with mine due to this issue. Also it aint 5 AP warning to locked out for such Teslaa, its 3. Then again from what am seeing, the warnings r not even half as alarming as in the nee cars. They r messing up for sure with d old cars.
I have already gotten a trip suspension. The problem is when you're watching the road, it is easy to miss the warnings, especially when driving at night with other car headlights coming at you.
The problem is the software is super buggy. We are getting AP warning with the AP turned OFF!!! I can’t think of a single thing in this update that’s an upgrade.
The problem is I have my hands on the wheel and it still nags and shuts me down. Unless I rock my steering wheel back and forth constantly stops it. I drove a Ford vehicle and it could sense my hand just by touch. Seems like more efficient tech to sense hands on wheel with Ford vehicle. Love my tesla but this is a nag. Please correct

Wish Tesla (Elon?) would put more effort into getting things to work properly, including wipers, high beam, the Full Self Driving that I paid for eighteen months ago, and waste less time on games, farts and light shows. I want a car, not a f…..g toy.

Don't watch videos from those promoting EVs. Watch those by EV owners about their real life experience with service centres, recharge stations, the effects of temperature extremes, and battery pack failures. Then, decide if an EV meets your needs.
Having to indicate for a warning is dumb behaviour you have to wear EACH TIME.
I too have found the nag on this to more annoying, and the time between to be less. I hope they roll it back somewhat over time... when NTSA isn't looking!
