Pro tip: you can add an additional profile to your car and call it "Lean back". Setup the seat in a nice lean position and you will have one-touch reconfiguring while you're charging (as example)
I also have one for laidback FSD on the highway. Make loads of profits! I have 4 just for myself. Default, chill driving, sports, laidback where it lays very flat but you can see the front through the wheel and it changes the mirror and works really well
Chris, I believe self-parking is only available with FSD because smart summon is only available with FSD. I think you should have mentioned that because 80% of Tesla drivers don’t have FSD.

Re going home - simply tap in the navigate window and “home” and “work” appear just below if they have been set. Also, be careful with “easy entry” because if someone is sitting in the back seat behind the driver, the seat can squash the person’s legs and feet unless they get out before you do.
I had FSD on my 2020 Model 3 Performance. Honestly, smart summon and auto park were nothing more than a cool party trick. Used it once and that was it. Had more fun using the Easter egg holiday light shows than smart summon.
The share-an-address with your car feature worked on my 2020 Model S. The feature is described on page 125 of my manual. Then it stopped working after a software update. I've been reporting this repeatedly to Tesla Service for the last 18 months. They refuse to repair the feature they broke. They use the phrase "we're aware of the problem, but we have no timeline for fixing it."
Easy Entry User tip: We have 5 driver profiles saved, three of whom are vertically challenged (short). Auto Easy Entry is best turned on for these drivers as taller drivers wont have to wait for the seat to move back when getting in.

Another Easter egg that’s very hard to see but *chefs kiss* is the fact that there are cloud reflections that move along the glass as you drive. Unfortunately the reflections do not change based on weather though that would be very cool.
I saw your short on this and gave it a go, important to note that you need to have the "hold button" option for summon turned off or the double press won't do anything.
It’s such a shame that 2023 model Y/3 will never have this :/ I use autopark like this every day multiple times a day. I have a single car garage, and due to the placement of the water heater it’s not possible to open the front doors regardless of the direction you park in. I literally would have to put my car in Neutral through the window each day and roll it by hand in and out of the garage if I had a 2023.. removing USS was such a weird decision.
Great video! I picked up MY LR in late March and I did not receive the cleaning cloth as you stated. It would have been nice. I keep some Gyeon Q2M Glass Cleaner along with a good quality microfiber cloth in my car for cleaning the screen and interior windows when needed.
Just a word of warning when you decide to set up an easy entry mode: That automatically binds all settings that are usually bound to a driver profile, automatically to a second set of settings in easy entry mode. So whatever you change while in easy entry mode, will ONLY be saved to that easy entry profile, NOT also to your normal driver profile. That has surprised many Telsa drivers, that everything they had set up while in easy entry mode, suddenly disappeared when they changed to D...
The EV big battery if plugged in like the home robotic vacuum cleaner can be topped up daily from rooftop solar PV and have huge 100kwh back up house supply. Most vehicles are parked 23hrs every day. Tesla has to get the auto plug in feature.

You forgot to mention automatic mirror folding based on memory. I love how my Y folds its mirrors automatically right when I enter my driveway, and it unfolds when I drive away from home.
Wish the trunk height was tied to the home location as well. My car port needs a lower trunk setting unfortunately the max trunk height remains low everywhere else. In 3 years dozens of people have smashed their foreheads.

I'm not sure if it would work when driving at normal road speeds. Let me know if it does. That would be cool
I hate that feature as I have to reverse to my charging at home.. The mirrors fold just 2 seconds before it, and I have to unfold them to see where I am reversing. (snow covers the back camera as it is full winter here) I can't find where that setting "to fold mirrors at home when parking" is, so mirror folding at home-setting is a annoyance I can't get rid of
Chris, you should have mentioned ALL Camera Access in Service mode. It’s rather impressive to see the field of view for the B-pillar cameras. It’s much more than I had expected even with HW3.

I was really looking forward to using the first feature you showed off, but then realized after I bought the car that here in the EU, lawmakers require a dead man's switch for such operations which is also why the FOB initiated summon is unavailable. That was a real bummer since we park the car in a narrow garage.

It would get to the point where the brakes release but immeditely after that, summon would abort. Later on I found the reason. My phone was NOT registered as key since I used the FOB to unlock the car, but I used summon through the app. Turns out that this way of doing summon is not supported and once you use your phone as key it works fine.
You can link a profile to a keycard under locks. Click the person icon for key while in the profile you want to use. Also taping the card to console will highlight which one it is. I use this with a "service" profile that has easy entry and some the basics set to be easier to drive for ice owners.
I use FSD all the time and love it! Be super careful with autopark! I used it the 2nd week of owning my Model Y in a parking garage and it avoided my neighbors car but grazed a cement column and needed about $3000 in body work. I was focusing on my neighbors car and couldn’t be looking at both the left and right sides at once. Maybe using the backup camera and the side cameras you could supervise it enough. Ironically when we test drove a Model 3 the salesman had us park with Autopark and it worked great. I probably will never try to use this feature again.

The biggest secret is that Tesla Grossly overstated the range of their vehicles and when you factor in that in order for your batteries to last, you should never charge over 80?% and never let it drop beyond 25%. Which it also takes away from the already overstated range. Add to this winter conditions and you have bought yourself an overpriced garbage.
Same here...except I've had my Tesla for 4 years...lol. I either had to do a voice command or click open the climate control and then hit the off button which was annoying. That was the best tip imo.

As per the manual the rear door does not have an emergency release. Thats a service release, not an emergency release. That’s why it is not very accessible. Not intended to be.
Might be worth making a note somehow regarding the new model 3 refresh's rear manual door latches. they seem to strike that perfect balance you referenced
Baby seat, yes! Well, for us it's actually our dogs that trigger the "fasten seat belt" alert so we'll use the button tap or hold, I forget, to shut that up.

Did you know the rear seats of the Model Y, and I suppose the Model 3 has a slight recline position that is really comfortable. While sitting in the back seat pull on the clip that would normally be used to fold the seat down and the seat will move backwards an inch or so.
11:30 what would be more useful would be to give exact dimensions… My 20213 performance came with uberturbine 9x20” (235/35-20”) and I changed it with Martian wheels 7.5x18” and to be road legal (don’t know if it also is in other countries) I had to get the exact numbers for that diameter… I have 215/50-18”. It would be nice to be able to input that and let Tesla/gps calibrate speed of the car and maybe adjust it over some distance driven and calculate the consumption with those stats…🤔

My 2019 Model 3 had a cleaning cloth. My 2023 Model Y (two weeks ago) did not, but they gave me a normal yellow microfiber cloth at delivery.

You don't need to go into service mode for this. Recently Tesla had put it into the normal menu of the car under the service section

Besides sharing your location, you can also share a website to your Tesla which then opens up in the browser.

Did you know the rear seats of the Model Y, and I suppose the Model 3 has a slight recline position that is really comfortable. While sitting in the back seat pull on the clip that would normally be used to fold the seat down and the seat will move backwards an inch or so.

Tesla should have warned you before you took delivery but it can be easy to miss

11:30 what would be more useful would be to give exact dimensions… My 20213 performance came with uberturbine 9x20” (235/35-20”) and I changed it with Martian wheels 7.5x18” and to be road legal (don’t know if it also is in other countries) I had to get the exact numbers for that diameter… I have 215/50-18”. It would be nice to be able to input that and let Tesla/gps calibrate speed of the car and maybe adjust it over some distance driven and calculate the consumption with those stats…🤔
Protecting TESLA makes sense as long as it does not allow TESLA to get sloppy.

Ive had my model S for 6 years. It has always allowed me to change wheels in the 'service' menu.
