Great comparison video. I honestly couldn't make a decision on which one I wanted. They are both so nice. I ended up just buying both. You only live once and you don't take your guns with you when you die. Enjoy life get what you want.
Yeah, I picked-up a PCR to replace my P365 XL (I'm a sucker for a decocked hammer-fire) but I'm also going to picked-up a P-01 in the coming months. My missus has problems racking the PCR (she carries a M&P Shield EZ) but I noticed the P-01 racked much, much easier. Cheers!
I'm an old hammer-fired guy (Beretta/CZ/1911) but I've been carrying a Sig P365 XL the past couple years because it's easy to conceal...yet, it fell like I wasn't bringing a toy to a gun fight. However, I never quite loved it...especially since it has a safely (no way am I sticking a striker-rife down my pants without a safety) and, to me, a decoder is the perfect safety for concealed carry. Anyway, after watching your video I found a shop that carried both the P-01 and PCR. I went with the PCR because I didn't need a rail, better for carry, and the I prefer the Omega trigger. It's awesome. I tried to convince my missus to switch from carrying her M&P Shield EZ, but she finds the PCR too difficult to rack. I'm still going to pickup a P-01 (it's awesome and I love the CZ brand) and noticed it racks much easier than the PCR. Perhaps she'll start carrying it in the future - we shall see. Enjoyed.
Same! Got the PCR two years ago, but I want the P01 too because holsters are easier to find for the P01 than the PCR, AND obviously a light on a home defense gun is a MUST! Imma name them both Calamity and Jane #BlackOps1

Took 4 months and a few phone calls but I finally got my mitts on a PCR to go with my P-01 and Stainless 75B. Looking to add a 2075 RAMI and a Shadow TAC II at some point but, thanks for validating my decision to go with a PCR for carry. CZ's are truly outstanding in every way.
with the extended mag my Rami is THE BEST FEELING pistol I've ever had. That enables it to mimic the PCR, but with the shorter barrel the weight of the Rami then sits down in the hand, not at all in front. Both are exceptional weapons and are my favorites, along with my 4" S'field Mod 2 9mm.
A few more differences, mostly minor but 1 major: 1) slide serrations are both angled on the PCR 2) P01 has full-length dust cover (probably necessary for the rail), and 3) most important, the rear sight cut is different, and I believe unique among CZ pistols. So different in fact, that it is difficult to find an aftermarket rear night sight for it (front sight cut is the same on all series 75 pistols). Cajun Gun Works offers one (Meprolight I believe), but from what I've read it's a tricky installation best left to an armorer or smith. Other than the stock sights, I love my PCR. I have the thick rubber grips for my big hands, and the thin aluminum grips for my wife. Very accurate and reliable after ~2000 rounds. :-)
Great comparison. They're both fantastic guns but I sold my PCR and got a P-01. The first reason is that the PCR has a mag base plate that is thin metal with a tab that sticks out forward from the bottom of the grip, so it rubbed on the pinkie of my grip hand. Probably not a problem for people with smaller hands, but these pistols have short grips and for my M-L hands it was uncomfortable. The P-02 has a contoured rubber pad that is much more comfortable for me. Second, the slide release lever on the PCR is shorter than on the P-01, so I had to stretch my thumb so far forward to reach it that it made me change my grip. Third, the stock sights on both of these pistols are mediocre at best and IMO need to be replaced. The top of the slide on the PCR is cut away in front of the dove tail, so you're limited to trijicon sights at CGW if you don't want to see the flat spot, and they don't extend rearward to increase the sight radius. The P-01 doesn't have the notch, so you can install truglo tfx or similar sights which extend to the rear of the slide. Finally, the full length dust cover on the P-01 is a non issue IMO. If anything, it adds a little mass to the front of the gun to reduce muzzle flip. Just my observations, having owned both of these. Thanks for the review!
have tru-glo tfx sights on my pcr --- they are great. Also swapped out the mag base plates for custom brushed aluminum base plates for exactly the same reason you stated. I think they are from cz custom shop but it's been awhile. Happy shooting!
I bought a PCR last week and shot a 100 rounds of UMC 115 grain FMJ no failures and absolutely love this Gun. This is my first CZ and probably won't be my last. I enjoyed your video. Good job!! Thanks
Great video, couldn’t agree more with your assessment! Took me many years to discover the awesomeness of the CZ75 line but now that I have a 75d PCR too, it’s had a steady diet of EDC!
Purchased the PCR today. It was not my plan because my focus was the P-01 because of the alloy frame. I was surprised about the PCR because I assumed it would be heavier. I am now considering selling my P365XL and adding the P-01. 😊
Just bought my first CZ it is a 75 d compact PCR I love it. Took it to the range and it blew me away how accurate it is I’m sure it will be my favorite
Charles J Gartner I have a habit of sticking to whatever the manufacturer originally used. Sometimes aftermarket stuff will really ‘screw’ with functionality. I’ll see myself out.
@@DWN22 ahhhh, ya, sorry if it came off as something against you. I was just surprised that the manufacturer used phillips screws. Seems weird. Like woodshop screws lol.
I chose the P-01 for my carry. It came with the Omaga trigger, better sights and I like to use a light. This CZ is a tack driver at 10 yards. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
PCR is a great gun. It was my first handgun a few years ago. I like the looks and feel of the original steel 75 Compact better, so that's what I still have.
my pcr is EDC since fall of 2016 --- but, as others have noted, --- the stock sights suck. So .... the mods to my gun are: truglo tfx sights TG- H3 stamped on the sights --- not the pro's which have an orange ring on the front sight. cz custom shop base plates for my magazines --- my medium hand pinky would land on that thin one that is stock. G 10 grips --- I loved the stock rubber ones that felt great but they would catch my light cover shirt in the summer -- so -- I have a thinner gun that gets my thumb to the slide release better. That's about it .... this gun has great build quality and internals. Have fun CZ people --- yes, I'm a fan.
Have a P01 and I found a really good deal on the PCR, but lost it because it took me a while to think about the redundancy of having both. Kind of regret not picking it up sooner...
Nice comparison, I just bought a SP 01 and had I known about the PCR (or saw your video beforehand) would've chosen the PCR. The serrated trigger, low profile rear sights, and loaded chamber indicator alone are worth it. Only "down side would be no rail on PCR but as you said not needed for a EDC.- Signed, Day Late and Dollar Short!
I love shooting my P-01 steel frame and originally bought it with the intention of carrying it. Its such a soft shooter but it is quite heavy for a carry pistol at over 2 lbs. Now I'm looking at this PCR since its lighter weight. I don't love CZ decockers (Beretta's have the best decockers IMO) but I think it fits my needs just right. Thanks for sharing the differences between the P-01 vs PCR . Great video👍👍
Another excellent review Austin. APCR in my collection would be amazing but I'd have to sell some pistols at this point to make room for one. LOL I have the P-01 and SP-01 and love them both but I wish I could have gotten my hands on a PCR when I found the P-01.The PCR would be a better carry pistol and that is really why I bought the P-01 but the reasons you mentioned and the long pistol grip have made me shelf that Idea for now. Maybe in 16 a PCR will make its way into the safe. Oh, my P-01 is a 2015 and the magazine plate still has the rubber bottom. Thanks again for a great comparison.
+pinkiewerewolf Thank you very much for the kind words, glad you liked the video. I understand about having to make room, my wife keeps asking why I buy so many CZs :-). I do like the PCR as a carry gun, it has been great for me but the P-01 is definitely suitable for carry as well! I hope you find a PCR soon and I appreciate the info on the mag plate as I wasn't sure on that. Thanks again!
Excellent video and thank you for doing this comparison. I bought a used, Cajunized P-01 and I love it! But like you, I don't need a rail for carry. The P-01 will get nightstand duty with a light, and the new PCR I just ordered will be my carry. I wasn't sure of how they compared until I saw your video. Now I know I made a great choice! Thanks again!
Another good thing about both of these pistols is they both can use any full size CZ 75 magazines , 10 , 14 , 16 , 17 rds. I don't CCW but I do prefer the PCR myself.
Great review on both. A very long time ago, I was on the fence which one to buy before, but after several consideration, I ended buying the big daddy 75 B. I am not carrying it but it will be my bedside arm. I got the RAMI for carry though.
Got those aluminum grips for my 75D PCR after I saw your review. Liked the original rubber contoured ones, but created a bit of a stretch for my trigger finger with the bigger palm swell. New thinner aluminum ones thins out the grip and makes the gun look awesome (as if it needed to look better than it already did!) Thanks for the video, lovin' my CZ even more.
+The Weekly Sticky I have the aluminum grips for improved trigger control and I also had the trigger reduction kit added. Small hands. The two together made for a clean trigger pull.
+The Weekly Sticky Bought the kit from Cajun Gun Works. It has everything but the trigger pin which is an extra $13. I bought the sights too - the one's for "old" people eyes.. :). A trusted gunsmith changed out the sights and put in the Reduction Kit for $50. Been an expensive venture tuning the PCR to my needs but well worth it.
@@yuro3501 shoots like a dream especially broken in, I’m selling mine now only because it ended up being too big to be my every day CCW so I carry the sig p365
@@BCOLLOT928 Yeah, I’m not a guy that’s crazy into collecting guns, but for some reason as soon as I saw the PCR I’ve been obsessed just watching every single video I can find on it. I’m really looking forward to purchasing this gun.
Let me state upfront I have a bias having recently picked up the P-01 myself. What you see as a disadvantage on the P-01 I see as an advantage. You can one-arm rack the slide with the P-01 if you had to catching the rear sight on your belt which you can't do with the Novak style rear sight on the PCR. Also the rail gives you the option of clipping on a light for home defense in the dark. Easy enough fix to adjust the rear sight (however you like them) with aftermarket sights. Another advantage to buying a popular brand like CZ, Customization is possible.
I have a good friend who was a NYC Arsen Investigator. His issued weapon was a Glock 19. But his personal choice gun is a CZ 9mm. We worked as the Udvar Hazy National Air&Space Center as part of the original security team when they 1st opened. Our on the job weapons were 38's but most of us had our conceal carry permits his was CZ . For me its Beretta or Sig
I agree, I feel the CZ 75D PCR is the perfect carry gun for me. My CZ P-09 Suppressor Ready is my house gun, and I run a Rugged Obsidian 9 in short configuration on it.
The worst thing about the P-01 is the sights, they're horrible. I have a shield and those sights are 10 times better. Looking to upgrade the sights and the grips. Besides that, this is a nice and reliable compact. Btw, my shield had 3 fail to eject/feed within 10 min at the range with about 300 rounds. CZ= 0 fails with over 500 fires. That's quality.
I think they need to improve the p-01 a little , if you can see what I mean ... I saw the slide rail that showed a little of silver from the slide , I think that part needed to be hide ... if they can extended the frame out to flush with the slide just a couple millimeters it would be perfect . I'm looking forward to get my hand on the other one , I hate imperfections ! Love the CZ but I can not live with an imperfection. Let me know what you think ? Thank you .

recently got both. thoughts: don't care for the omega trigger. it's a simplification so they can include a convertible safety decocker. kind of ruins the CZ-ness. prefer the PCR for all the stated reasons in this video, come about independently. i also find the PCR easier to shoot accurately, but that is probably the trigger being "rougher" with the omega option. I'd like to try an sp01 without the omega trigger. that may be comparable to the PCR.
Thank you so much for this excellent comparison! I have been debating which one to get for CC and your review has made a clear decision. Thanks again. Be safe.
+Jb07 The PCR was my first pistol. It was too big for my hand but that didn't stop me. Aluminum grips and the trigger reduction kit brought it all together. Add changing the sights for these "old" eyes and it's perfect. An expensive venture for sure, but well worth it. And yes, it's not going anywhere.
Very nice video. I've been watching CZ videos. Plan on getting one to be my EDC. I was thinking my choice was between the P07 and the P01, but I can see how the P75D PCR would be better for me than the 01. (I have no desire for a light or laser either. Going to put a red dot on it.) So, thanks for the insights!
Point of information: have a CZ PCR that I purchased two years ago at this writing. It was stock and has the smooth, non-serrated trigger surface. Just a word to those who prefer the serrations to verify before purchasing.
excellent guns. i rented P01 at the range. I lost faith in my sig p229 elite. It broke after about 2500 rounds within 4 months of ownership. Broken: mag release spring, trigger bar, and safety indicator.
Thank you I was in the gun store looking at a pcr toda didn’t get it because I thought I wanted the po1 but it’s gonna be my ccw so I’m going to get that pcr tomorrow morning.
Thanks for the showing the mags, picked up an old 14rnd shaped like the p01 mag but with a steel baseplate. Think it’s some type of intermediate or an aftermarket plate.
You can buy CZ 75 rubber base plates from CZ-USA for about $10/each. They fit the compact 75s and even the 82 and 83. They extend the grip length just a bit so as to allow a full and comfortable four-finger grip, and they are a hard rubber so don't grab clothing to cause printing.
Thanks for Your answer. That it does not. However If I do carry it, It would be in the decocked position, with a round in, and I think that would serve as the loaded chamber indicator for my use. Not that I would treat fire arm as empty. Thanks again Nice video.
I have the CZ 75 D compact and CZ 75 P-01 and have been having issues with failure to load on both. Both guns are new, I have maybe maximum 300 rounds through each. I have tried different ammo, and each time I take them to the range, I'm having failure to load issues with both. Yesterday my 75D Compact froze up. It would not fire, so I dropped the magazine, tried pulling the slide to empty the chamber, but the slide was stuck. I pulled the hammer back and tried firing it down range but just got the click of the hammer, I did it a second time and nothing. It finally expelled the round on the third attempt. I thought it was just a fluke, so I put in a different magazine, and after the third shot, the same thing happened. I couldn't even pull the slide back. everything was just stuck.
The P01 is hammer forged aluminum and the PCR is machine pressed aluminum. They both are awesome. I just with the PCR didn't have the loaded chamber indicator.
I’ve got almost 6000 rounds through a stock P-01. Even with total disassembly, cleaning and polishing , the trigger with the de cocker is not as smooth as my SP-01 out of the box. I carry it often, with upgraded sights from CGW and LOK grips, even then , it takes a lot of practice to fire with accuracy. I would be interested to see if the PCR trigger is smoother because of the lack of a decocker lever in the sear cage.
great vid thanks been looking at this one for a while, finally stopped by local gun shop but they don't have one...really like your comparison....keem them coming....
I carry the pcr. very reliable in terms of feeding and going bang. love it but... 1 1/2 years of ownership and have had 2 issues, trigger return spring broke and firing pin retention pin broke which threw my firing pin and spring rearward as well as my firing pin block and spring. shopping for backup pistol.
I put a Cajun Gun Works spring kit in mine. Improved the overall smoothness of the pull - reduced the double action pull from about 10 lbs to 7.5 lbs and the single action from 6 lbs to 4.5 lbs. It is now the perfect carry firearm.
Great video, nice side by side comparison. I was hell bent on buying the p-01 but the PCR caught my eye. Why does the P-01 cost more than the PCR? The P-01 is about $75 more, just curious if anyone knows why
The P01 has a Rail underneath it meaning accessories can be attached such as (Lasers, tac-Lights) I don't know why the PCR doesn't come with this option.. but both guns look like excellent pieces
Been carrying my full-size for a while now. Surprisingly comfy for the size but as of late I've been thinking about picking up a Rami the only detractor is the blocky grip and I love the grip contour of the steel frame guns
Seriously... I just watched this video and I am so glad that I did. I just knew that the P-01 was the gun that I wanted. And I am sure that I would have been very happy with it. But if I would have found out about the PCR afterwards (Like i almost did cuz I was ready to buy this gun today but it was late in the day so i am going on Saturday) I would have either had some regret or more than likely found a reason to buy that gun too haha. Thanks a lot. Great Video!
@@ronmitchell859 you're right. After getting my PC's I'm still thinking about. A P-01 for a secondary home Defense pistol. I don't want a rail on a carry him but a night stand gun is a different story.
I had the choice between the two... I picked the P01 since it came in a rare OD Green color and it has the NSN stamp in it (Nato stamp of approval) im picking it up this Friday..... i think ill eventually pick a PCR too... well see... i already have two CZ97B and a P10F
dude i recently bought a sp-01 tactical with threaded barrel for home defense. I currently carry a walther pps m2. I now want to carry the pcr. thanks for making a great video
I have the P09 for home/range and cold weather carry and got the PCR to replace my PX4 Storm Compact for IWB carry and use my PPS for hot weather carry. The best of all three worlds
The factory luminescent sights only last for like 10 minutes after you shine a light on it. I switched them out with some dawson precision night sights.
Also the slide grooves on the P01 go all the way to the muzzle, are exposed and sharp. When they eliminated the accessory rail on the PCR they also eliminated those sharp edges making it much nicer for concealed carry.
I've often switched other pistols from hex to phillips head, as a shtf reliability mod. It isn't as premium looking, but tactically mire sound. I do run the VZ grips fancy torx screws on my 1911 though, definitely for aesthetic reasoning.
I wonder if there is a way to get an Ambidextrous de-cocker on there? I know the Omega has one, being a lefty sucks. I want one of these really bad, but that lever is just not in a good place for a left-hander.
I think you overlooked a factor regarding the rear sights. The PCR has a ramp on the front of the rear sight. It won't snag, but when you draw it, that's not the part that will snag. If anything, it is the rear part of the rear sight that can snag. There is a small drawback to having a ramp there - you can't use the rear sight to hook on your belt or a railing to rack the slide if you are injured and can't use your other hand. But I am not a fan of the P-01 sights, and I would want to replace them. I'm not a big fan of CZ's luminescent sights either, because they are so small and not that bright. I spose that means that I would replace them on either gun, making the sights a non-issue for purchase. :)
Keep those dry fires to a minimum bud. You'll end up shearing the "Firing Pin Retaining Pin" and will render your gun useless. It happened with my P01. Fixed it by removing the sheared pin and replacing it with a Cajun Gun Works pin that's significantly better. When I got my RAMI I shot it and when I got home I replaced the crappy CZ Pin that was in it. Love CZ, hate their pins.
Do we know that these cajun pins are any better??? Or is that just what they tell up. I don't count dry fires. Do you? I replaced mine on both CZZ and my Tristar. But I got no evidence that it's any better.
I currently own a hipoint (I known keep your comments to your selves it's what I could afford) but do plan to upgrade to a CZ as soon as I can trying to decide between the P07 or the new P10. I was in the Army so I like the double single actions any advice would be welcome
Jeremy cavinder Every Hi Point that I've had performed very well. I owned the pistols in 40 and 45 (JHP, JCP, whatever they're called), and the carbines in 45 and 9. Still own the 9. They're reliable and, despite a "meh" trigger, easy to shoot accurately. I'm not just a CZ fanboy but a CZ groupie lol, yet I don't mind at all shooting a Hi Point. The CZ P07 is a great gun, though I admit it's my least favorite out of all the CZ pistols (which really just says how much I love the steel/alloy CZ 75 line). I didn't like the DA trigger on the P07 because it felt very stagey, had a lot of bumps. But it was sweet in SA.
Here comebthe hi points are good comments. They are junk and if u were in the military u could afford more or u got kicked out or didnt go to school after

I chose the P-01 for my carry. It came with the Omaga trigger, better sights and I like to use a light. This CZ is a tack driver at 10 yards. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
really wanted the 75 compact but thinking on just going with the P01, its just as nice
Alex You will enjoy either one about the same my friend.
PCR is a great gun. It was my first handgun a few years ago. I like the looks and feel of the original steel 75 Compact better, so that's what I still have.
I opted for the 75 Compact. I carry it in Condition 1, so never have to fire it in the imprecise DA mode.
Couldn't agree more- EXCELLENT carry piece. Accurate as heck too.
my pcr is EDC since fall of 2016 --- but, as others have noted, --- the stock sights suck. So .... the mods to my gun are: truglo tfx sights TG- H3 stamped on the sights --- not the pro's which have an orange ring on the front sight. cz custom shop base plates for my magazines --- my medium hand pinky would land on that thin one that is stock.
Thanks for sharing... I am considering buying and carrying the PCR.
+Cliff Warren Thanks for watching and you will no doubt enjoy the PCR if you choose it.
Great comparison review, looking at getting a P01 but now after seeing this I can’t decide. That PCR Compact is sweet.
James Massie Get both my friend you will not regret it.
Thanks! I never even knew about the PCR Version . I may just get that one.
I’ll buy your steel frame p01
@@WarlockNoir definitely not selling my CZ unicorn
@@pdog305301 you’re a wise man
Another excellent review Austin.
+The Weekly Sticky Congrats on the new grips, glad they work well for you, I'm loving mine as well!
+The Weekly Sticky I have the aluminum grips for improved trigger control and I also had the trigger reduction kit added. Small hands. The two together made for a clean trigger pull.
+LeRoy where'd you get the trigger reduction kit done? how much if you don't mind me asking? thanks!
I own a P-01 and love it, love CZ, but I'm not a fanboy.
That said, I really, really like the PCR. Hell even the standard compact is awesome.
CZ really seems to make some quality firearms across the board! Love both of these pistols. Thanks for the video!
Bro five years later, video comes in clutch 🙌🏼
Hey, I’m thinking about buying this as my first handgun. Is it still a good gun to this day?
@@yuro3501 shoots like a dream especially broken in, I’m selling mine now only because it ended up being too big to be my every day CCW so I carry the sig p365
@@BCOLLOT928 Yeah, I’m not a guy that’s crazy into collecting guns, but for some reason as soon as I saw the PCR I’ve been obsessed just watching every single video I can find on it. I’m really looking forward to purchasing this gun.
outstanding presentation! I'm looking hard at the CZ PCR right now. They're expensive as hell and difficult to locate. Local gun shop wants $620 !!
@MVia
for a PCR, yes. I just recently traded it for a Winchester 9422 XTR
I'm hella jealous. I'm in love with the P-01, now I'm cheating with the PCR.
I have both and prefer the PCR over the P01.
I love my PCR that was redone by Cajun Gun Works. Added Matrix Lok grips and it is awesome to hold and shoot.
I jealous of the trigger your PCR came with!! I just bought a PCR and it came with a black non-serrated trigger.....
I have the P01 Omega. Thing is a work of art. So beautiful and dependable. CZ makes the best firearms except for maybe Sig!!!
Excellent comparison! Your experience with the P-01 gave you (and us) a valuable perspective on the PCR.
This comparison has changed my mind about a CZ purchase. I will stop looking for the P01 now which seems to be sold out every where any way.
Janice Anmary pcr is more rarebu idiot
I agree, I feel the CZ 75D PCR is the perfect carry gun for me. My CZ P-09 Suppressor Ready is my house gun, and I run a Rugged Obsidian 9 in short configuration on it.
Nice guns. They are still coming with the rubber base plates but I prefer the more flush Mecgar mags.
James Howlett
could it be the type of ammo you were using?
I think they need to improve the p-01 a little , if you can see what I mean ... I saw the slide rail that showed a little of silver from the slide , I think that part needed to be hide ... if they can extended the frame out to flush with the slide just a couple millimeters it would be perfect . I'm looking forward to get my hand on the other one , I hate imperfections ! Love the CZ but I can not live with an imperfection. Let me know what you think ? Thank you .
Great Vid and AGREED the CZ PCR is the ultimate carry!! to me 2nd to none.
I have the pcr and i got the blacked out combat rear site and fiber optic front sight for the cz pro site, the rear site goes all the way to the back of the gun. great gun.

recently got both. thoughts:
don't care for the omega trigger. it's a simplification so they can include a convertible safety decocker. kind of ruins the CZ-ness.
prefer the PCR for all the stated reasons in this video, come about independently.
i also find the PCR easier to shoot accurately, but that is probably the trigger being "rougher" with the omega option.
I'd like to try an sp01 without the omega trigger. that may be comparable to the PCR.
Great video. Been a Glock guy for years but bought a HK45C and love the decocker option. CZ has a great reputation for quality guns. Thanks
Thank you so much for this excellent comparison! I have been debating which one to get for CC and your review has made a clear decision. Thanks again. Be safe.
You wont be disappointed. I have bought/traded/sold many pistols but my pcr hasn't gone anywhere(nor will it).
I have nothing but good to think about CZ's, but that large stainless phillips head grip screw really looks out of place.
Matches the trigger
This is the exact video I was looking for. thanks
Good video, nice pistols, but the stainless screw on the PCR kills me... why is it even an option?
Very nice video. I've been watching CZ videos. Plan on getting one to be my EDC. I was thinking my choice was between the P07 and the P01, but I can see how the P75D PCR would be better for me than the 01. (I have no desire for a light or laser either. Going to put a red dot on it.) So, thanks for the insights!
Love the PCR too just wish there was a way to put a light on it. I need to be able to identify a target in a lighting situation.
Get the P01 lol
I love my po-1 as you can see
Thanks for the showing the mags, picked up an old 14rnd shaped like the p01 mag but with a steel baseplate. Think it’s some type of intermediate or an aftermarket plate.
I bought a New P-01 dated June 2016 they still have the rubber magazine bottoms.
Mypointofview I as well sir! I'm a p01 fanboy no PCR for me lol
84T-Type
It is a great gun no doubt.
I have a PCR fully cajunized with a nickel boron slide and a Pro-Tek ll from CZ custom 2 fantastic pistols My Pro Tek is on the PCR frame
can you tell me if they replaced the plastic guide rod with a metal one? I see conflicting reviews on that mod.
Interesting- what’s the benefit of one over the other? Thanks
Nice CZ's! I just order me a CZ P07. I needed a companion for my CZ 75B :-)
+PRVeteran Thanks! You will definitely enjoy the P07 :-)
great vid thanks been looking at this one for a while, finally stopped by local gun shop but they don't have one...really like your comparison....keem them coming....
Make America Great Again
out of curiosity, how many rounds did you put thrpugh it, before the issues?
I have the pcr and the big brother sp01. Love both of them. I also have the cadet kit for 22 long rifle that fits on both of them.
So which on do you like better now??
Been carrying my full-size for a while now. Surprisingly comfy for the size but as of late I've been thinking about picking up a Rami the only detractor is the blocky grip and I love the grip contour of the steel frame guns
I really would like to get one ptr
Always nice to have a rail as an option, you don’t have to use it buts it there if you need it to be
Nice review. I have been thinking about getting a PCR.
Romans 6two3 Get it brother , you will not regret it.
LOL - to imagine anyone ever buying a P-01 and regretting it is kind of beyond my imagination - which is quite robust. : )
@@ronmitchell859 you're right. After getting my PC's I'm still thinking about. A P-01 for a secondary home Defense pistol. I don't want a rail on a carry him but a night stand gun is a different story.

dude i recently bought a sp-01 tactical with threaded barrel for home defense. I currently carry a walther pps m2. I now want to carry the pcr. thanks for making a great video
Aaron Waller Congrats on the SP-01!
I have the P09 for home/range and cold weather carry and got the PCR to replace my PX4 Storm Compact for IWB carry and use my PPS for hot weather carry. The best of all three worlds
and now i have a pcr. aluminum grips. wasn't aware at the time but how about that pro tek 1 or 2? very nice. or the sdp custom?
oh ...$1200 maybe later lol
I don't personally own a pro tek but everything I have read on them makes me want one very much!
I wish CZ would change their grip screws...having those phillips heads makes it look so cheap
I changed mine over to allen head/hex on my PCR. My dad found them on the CZ forum for sale. They look much better!
@@Gtown1777 yeah --- I have black torx button head screws now. Big improvement.
I've often switched other pistols from hex to phillips head, as a shtf reliability mod. It isn't as premium looking, but tactically mire sound. I do run the VZ grips fancy torx screws on my 1911 though, definitely for aesthetic reasoning.
I want one badly. Leaning towards the PCR for new edc to rotate with my G43X.
PCR is so unique. Must have and Love mine. P-01 is nice to have.
No one is racking the slide, injured, with one hand, and changing mags one handed...youll be dead.
it's 2019 now, did you ever get nice black hex screws for those grips, instead of those Phillip screws that make your guns look like wooden boards???
Man I am torn about which I like best .... 🙂
The PCR and the P-01 share the same magazine, I own a PCR and have many magazines so my next CZ purchase will be the CZ P-01
buy em all
The rear sight on the newer Omega guns are very similar to those on your pcr but the Omega sight extends to the hammer channel.
Just noticed the slide serrations are angled on the PCR vs straight and angled on the p-01. OCD beware...

I bought a P01 within the last 6 months and it came with a rubber bumper on the bottom of the magazine.
how to they compare when shooting?
Thanks for the comparison video, I used your video to make my decision---PCR!!!
