This is my all time favorite. It fits me like a glove. I did all the Cajun work myself. Well worth it. I carried a CZ83 for years. Military grade. It worked every time. So when I got the chance, I jumped on the PCR. This is my Fourth CZ. I have Spring Field XD, 1911, Gc3, and more. This one for me takes the Cake.
Oh that short reset! I just shot a new CZ yesterday and that stock reset is forever. Was told by the rangemaster about Cajun, and you just confirmed it. Thank you for the upload.
This is my first handgun. Was going to get a glock 19, but the gun shop showed me the PCR and it felt good in my hands. Haven’t done anything to mine and it shoots very accurate. Shoots so good I don’t feel like I need any upgrades, but seeing yours makes me wanna upgrade.
I found my PCR by luck I was just walking around a gun shop and there it was. I watched a video by scootch and I remember what he said if you find one buy it. This is my first CZ and won't be my last I have shot over 1500 rounds with one hiccup. You will need a lot of ammo it is pleasure to shoot this pistol. Good Luck
Have you bought one? I did about 4 months ago , good shooter very accurate but I had the gun malfunction with a failure to fire , at the range and the firing pin wouldn’t hit the primer. Looked up on RUclips and found the firing pin retention pin got damaged , anyway changed mine which showed only slight marks on factory pin . Replaced pin and it works fine but I’m lukewarm on it now because of the issue. About 400 rounds through it prior to the malfunction and 300 after replacing the pin . Gun shouldn’t have malfunctioned with slight blemish on pin . I’ll be putting heavy use on it to prove reliable .
Thanks for this review. I installed many of the same upgrades in my 75b including the extended firing pin along with the lighter springs to go with it. I now have a PCR but I may not attempt to lighten the trigger on a primary carry gun. I guess I kinda like heavy triggers in carry guns. I’ll probably replace the trigger return spring with the floating pin, get night sights, replace the firing pin retainer pin and maybe the grips.
Same sights on my P01 I love them, great sight picture. I’m going to be getting the CGW Pro package next year sometime hopefully. I have the LOK full checkered palm swells on mine, super awesome grip texture love them. Good looking PCR, sucks you have to use 10rd mags though. Carry on bro
Gun looks nice. I ordered the pro kit today for one of my PO1’s (decocker) and looking forward to the install adventure. Btw that test target...they are only showing they fired the gun to test function and likely were not putting emphasis on accuracy.
Very nice! Opposite of you, I was in search of the PCR and found a P-01 in stock that I couldn't walk away from. I'll still add the PCR to the lineup whenever I come across one at my LGS. BTW, up until the 5:45 mark on vid I was concerned after you mentioned that gun was cleared and I could clearly see the LCI doing it's job. A sigh of relief for sure... Nevertheless great vid and I'll definitely be researching those grips.
I just built a PCR exactly the same way you did, except I have PCR style night sights, which I'll be swapping out for the P01 fiber optic front, like you have. Anyway, it looks to me like you could adjust a bit more of your pre and post travel out of the trigger. The only thing you have to watch out for is making sure the sear doesn't rub the tip of the engagement notch on the hammer. My trigger seems to be even a bit tighter than yours so that's what made me check it out. Nice pistol by the way. :)
CGW has the PCR in stock. I'm waiting on mine from CZ then may take it to David at CGW and have it cajunized. I like the grips you have and may give them a shot. Thanks!
I have both SP-01 and P-01. Placed order for P-01 through Turner and waited 8 months before I can get my hands on one. Nice videos, Subbed! BTW, I'm from California too.
Dahlonega Armory All Day for easy access to these. I love my P01 and PCR, but I will be replacing sights on my PCR too. The Dawson sights look a little too wide on the rear sights internal U though. The barrel port was coated so it does not glint in the sun or moonlight that can give away your position. Probably not something anyone will ever need on a carry pistol for defense, so if you like that look over form, its not a gun breaker alteration.
Nice one man with a nice 2lb trigger it should be very accurate trigger control has 98% of accuracy problems people see why I love my 1911 2011's and my cz shadow2 love that damn thing it has a sub 2lb trigger also.
I love those sights. As well. I also shaved down the take down lever/slide release on both sides. Shaved down the lanyard plug too. Huge difference for carry
Looking for videos, sending my 75BD to Cajun gun works ... this just reissued , the pro kit is no joke . Just because the work cost as much as the gun it’s self . I am sold thanks
Beautiful pistol! I also live in CA and took me about 2 weeks to find a PCR. Would like to Cajunize my CZ’s but really don’t want to take that chance in front of a jury.
The Marshall Gun Channel Can you say the labor was affordable along with the package? Wondering if I would still have an arm left when I decide to send my PCR and or SP-01.
ace kicker It nearly doubles the cost of the pistol. Pistol $550, CJW pro kit $463. Not to mention grips and sights and that’s if you do the work yourself.
Very nice! Very hard to find at the moment in CenCal I got two Ramis and 1 75B available and I’m sure it’ll sell extremely quick. I ordered 3 Pcr’s I ordered and sold same day as well as 2 P01’s
CZ Custom has a set of tritium night sights that fit perfectly on the PCR with no gap because they are made to fit the PCR. I bought my PCR from CGW coming up on 3 years ago which had the PRO kit installed by David at CGW. Did you install the CGW 10X bushing ? I installed the bushing on my PCR and both of my PO1s. Also, I have installed the CGW PRO kits in both my PO1s....
Any updates wear/damage on the barrel hood polish? I just did the same thing to my pcr a few hours ago. Also kind of random but you should make a complete disassembly and reassembly video. I can’t find anything anywhere on the internet about decocker model.
I prefer the PCR but don't like the chamber indicator on the top of the slide. I wish they made them without that feature. As they remove is and fill it in on the custom ones.
I am a cz fanatic I just got back my p01 from cgw can't wait to shoot it . I have the fever rami bd , 75b polished , satin , urban grey p01 , p01 omega , sp01 tactical , pcr , and found brand new a sdp for to much then it gets worse dan wesson eco, ecp , specialist , I checked trigger pull on the cgw and the cz custom sdp and they are the exact same but the trigger reset is a little better on the cgw when will it stop . Lol .
Let us know about that 11.5# spring. That's what I have in my P01, haven't got to shoot it since installing it but have heard conflicting reports about it's ability to reliably ignite all primers. It feels much better than the 13.5# though so I left it in.
Hi, can you tell me the exact sku# for the Dawson Sight Set you installed on your PCR. I recently purchased two PCR's and I like the P01 Dawson sight set you installed on your PCR. Their are several different sets of Dawson sku's for the P01 and I want to make sure I order the correct one.
Did you ever get a chance to shoot this gun? I seen on your channel that you eventually bought that P-01 you wanted. I was looking forward to seeing this thing in action.
That is how CZ sights are. The front is much lower than the back because the barrel isn’t parallel to the slide when in battery - it is pointed down toward the muzzle. When it unlocks it becomes parallel and recoils straight back. That feature, and the lighter slide reduce muzzle flip.
I just got my first CZ and it's the PCR. I shot it for the first time yesterday and really loved the way it felt and shot. Do you carry your PCR or just use it as a range gun? That 2.5lb pull would worry me a little in a high tension situation. That being said I do see the "need" for some trigger improvements. Are those grips rubber or aluminum? Great video thank. Liked and subscribed.
@The Marshall Gun Channel How's that 11.5 lb. main spring working out? I heard they function well but you may get lite primer strikes with N.A.T.O. spec ammo like Sellier & Bellot. I left the 13.5 lb main spring in and I'm at 7.5 lbs DA and 3.4 lbs. SA.
Ok so wait... it’s been “Cajunized” but... the decreased trigger pull weight and crispness is because you polished the insides of the gun? I’m very confused
I've never heard anyone having a problem with the polymer guide rod, even after many thousands of rounds. So, besides the extra bit of weight up front, whats the advantage of a steel guide rod?
Mine is cajunized and cannot shoot accurately from decocked position.. when hammer falls it jerks the pistol.. does not happen from double action nor single action.. weird eh?
Great vid. I just bought a used Cajunized P01and want to get lighter springs how is the 11.5 mainspring working for you and what weight recoil spring are you using?
I just ordered a PCR yesterday. I see on the CGW site that there is a defensive carry package and a Pro package. The Pro package appears to have everything the defensive package has. For an EDC, what is recommended??
That's a nice gun. You say that you want to use it as your carry gun. How does that work in California given the modifications you made? I was under the impression that they would only approve bone stock guns...

The pin that holds the firing pin could get damaged from a ton of dry-firing, but internal parts in CZs don’t typically fail. Other than the improved firing pin retainer, there is no reason to think that CGW replacement parts will last longer than stock. Some people have broken the slide stop after thousands of rounds, and actually, the lighter mainsprings in the CGW kits INCREASE the likelihood of that happening.
Thanks for posting this video. I just received the pcr and ordered th Dawson sights. I got the front sight in pretty easily but am struggling with the rear. How much filing/fitment did it take you to get the sight in?
Is there a way to reduce only the DA pull? I'm happy with the SA weight, I only want to reduce the DA so I can practice DA without destroying my finger! Thank you
Keep in mind that reducing the mainspring weight will allow the slide to cycle faster, and the means the barrel recoils into the slide stop with more energy. This will batter the slide stop and it will break a lot sooner than stock.
Did you get the parts and do the work yourself or did CGWs do the work? I'm about to pick up one and looking for mods that I can do myself. Cajun is backed up for a while these days.
Hi! I just picked up my first cz75d compact, and I was very interested in how nice your pull is. The weight stock feels a bit high for me. Any way we could talk and you could link me to what you got to get the trigger to be how it is in your vid?
Nice piece. The pro kit is currently 463.00. The pistol is 550.00. And then sights and grips. Scratching my head on that. While you have a very nice setup there, that’s a lot for a CZ. And you didn’t know how it shot at the time of filming. I’m sure you had a great time doing the mods though. How was it after all that? Is it your EDC piece?
In my opinion, a nearly $1000 gun is not worth using as a carry firearm. If it's used in self defense, you may not get that back. A less than $300 handgun could work just as well.
Well considering most people go their whole lives without having to shoot somebody I wouldn't be too worried about it and if you did have to use it to save your life I'd want every advantage I could get and would gladly just buy another one.
The price of a used pcr... could be worth it but you'll have to decide if it's right for you. I decided I like mine as is, which allowed me to buy a used 75bd shortly after getting my pcr.
Repeditive, rambling info. only to then say he knows we already know. However video is correct in that, he wants to talk, but can't manager to convey correct details about the gun in hand. Yada yada gotta be a "Glocky”

Micky Bowling shot 200 rounds so far no issues but will do updates
@@themarshallgunchannel4865 sounds promising, thanks for the update. I've shot around 150 or so through mine, also with no problems.
Ooooohhhhhh YOU did the Cajunizing. Now I get it.
Very nice. That trigger is sick.
Single action is way to light for EDC! IMO...
Can you include a list in the description with links?
Nice Gun ! May I know what is the exact color of your lok grip ? which other colors look good?
Hi, can you tell me the exact sku# for the Dawson Sight Set you installed on your PCR.

Ok so wait... it’s been “Cajunized” but... the decreased trigger pull weight and crispness is because you polished the insides of the gun? I’m very confused
Lol, old Glock Tricks still work. Polishing the internals, gets rid of trigger creep (grittiness for the technical types) try it some time.
You left the polymer guide rod. Do you plan to upgrade to steel?
fargone -:- yes and did
I've never heard anyone having a problem with the polymer guide rod, even after many thousands of rounds. So, besides the extra bit of weight up front, whats the advantage of a steel guide rod?

Why are you using the CZ screws on the LOK grips? Jason should have sent you different screws for the new LOK grips.
Because it’s his gun
Thank you for sparing the ‘unboxing video’-which are the most annoying waste of time videos out there. This is actual useful information.
I actually prefer the heavy stock springs .
Any advice I find myself shooting this gun and all my shots are low and to the left. Thx in advance
When are you going to post a video of you shooting this gun ?
Just bought my p01 in California today and it didn’t have a loaded changer indicator. Is that only for pcr models?
Hi sir pls try to do anything to make your voice higher because i hardly hear your voice thanks
Did you do the upgrades yourself?
Can u recommend a right holster for that
That's a nice gun. You say that you want to use it as your carry gun. How does that work in California given the modifications you made? I was under the impression that they would only approve bone stock guns...
RtBold. good question, that only applies to the gun at the original point of sale. Once it is in your procession you are able to do any custom work your heart desires.
Calif. law says no after market lasers on a carry gun. only stock factory installed lasers. everything else I a go.
I'm unemployed. My goal is to purchase a P-01 sometime this year. But I have been thinking about the compact model also. If been buying Beretta. Do you think the CZ is a step up or step down. The Beretta 92 compact is a bit large to be called a compact. Plus the front sight is a anchor weight.
Raymond Williams CZ isn’t a step down from anywhere. P-01 is the compact model, SP-01 is the full size version.
I wanna buy this gun stock but worried about the roll pins and internal pieces that fail
Great videos my friend. Subbed ya. Are those grips the gray? Keep up the great content!
Is there a way to reduce only the DA pull? I'm happy with the SA weight, I only want to reduce the DA so I can practice DA without destroying my finger! Thank you
I think changing out the 13.5lb main spring is what determines the DA pull. I'm gonna find out myself in 10days lol!
Keep in mind that reducing the mainspring weight will allow the slide to cycle faster, and the means the barrel recoils into the slide stop with more energy. This will batter the slide stop and it will break a lot sooner than stock.
2.5# SA in Cali? But then again, any pistol mod in Cali will give some district attorney a hard on. Nice gun though
What’s the likelihood? Relax DA
Where can I get the same exact one?
Did you get the parts and do the work yourself or did CGWs do the work? I'm about to pick up one and looking for mods that I can do myself. Cajun is backed up for a while these days.
Good video, just subbed!
Good holster?
Hi! I just picked up my first cz75d compact, and I was very interested in how nice your pull is. The weight stock feels a bit high for me. Any way we could talk and you could link me to what you got to get the trigger to be how it is in your vid?
What do the “liners” for the LOK grips do or what are they?
Liners are just for looks. Like if you want to add a white trim to a blood red grip, or whatever colors you want.
TruGlo TFX’s and LOK grips were the only thing I changed, rest is stock! And bought it used, it’s a great EDC gun!
Well considering most people go their whole lives without having to shoot somebody I wouldn't be too worried about it and if you did have to use it to save your life I'd want every advantage I could get and would gladly just buy another one.
...AUSGEZEICHNET!!!!
I don’t know if I missed it but what did that run you with mods for total price?
Just ... WOW !!!😀
What was the total cost to cajunize this firearm?
The price of a used pcr... could be worth it but you'll have to decide if it's right for you. I decided I like mine as is, which allowed me to buy a used 75bd shortly after getting my pcr.
