    CZ P-01 is great for my personal carry, and I don't run an optic for carry anyway. I'm just looking for simplicity, reliability, good feel when shooting, quality, hammer instead of striker, decocker instead of safety lever... I'll much prefer the CZ P-01 any day.

I pick it up and held it and it just felt so good in my hand that I purchased it right then. The store owner told me p01 is an excellent gun. Nothing but the good reviews..I'm glad I bought it. There are no compacts "of today" that I'd take over my CZ P-01 for EDC, including any striker fired CZs. Hammer fired with decocker and metal frame is still king for me. I don't know why CZ doesn't start cranking out more P-01s to meet the demand, versus just pushing their version of a mere striker fired Glock.

    Just like mine I bought about 10 or 11 years ago. I've since bought four other more "modern" compact pistols to try and upgrade my EDC. Are they better? Not really. The only shortcoming, imho, of the out-of-the-box P-01 is the sights. I'd really like to change them. Even, so, I still shoot is surprisingly well. Over the years I've thought, maybe I should sell it, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

    I've started looking at the CZ 75 P-01 resently, I've heard that the saftey model has a smoother double action pole than the decocker model . The saftey model has the quarter cock with safety and the fully cocked with safety, however it does not decock , I guess you have to lower the hammer back to quarter cock carefully by hand but or eject the last round ( if you were going to unload it without running it dry . It's the same action Type as my Beretta Model 84-FF. 380 quarter cock with safety or fully cocked with safety , same as My New Beretta 92 XI SAO . I haven't bought the CZ yet

    • @GunGuyCody
      @GunGuyCody  8 месяцев назад +3

      I've completely changed my thoughts on the stock trigger, and think a lot of people are quick to judgment like I was. It's actually really great with a higher round count, it just takes a long time to get there I've discovered. At around 2500 rounds, the difference between my stock one and a CGW pro kit trigger is incredibly small, and mine gets smoother after every range trip. I can defiantly understand why people go straight to the CGW kit because its absurdly poor out of the box, just need to tough it out a bit before it gets good.

    • @tsomers01
      @tsomers01 8 месяцев назад +2

      You don’t need to replace the firing pin block. You should replace the firing pin retaining pin in the slide. The factory pin is susceptible to breaking. For dryfire, use a snap cap or put a small o-ring in the slot where the hammer drops to prevent it from hitting the firing pin. You could also use a piece of a foam ear plug.
