I bought the CZ P-01 Omega in 2021, and had it Cajunized in Feb 2022 with a manual safety. I shoot it with a Holosun 507 red dot for IDPA matches and occasionally for Steel Challenge. It is very accurate; I cannot recall having a malfunction with this pistol since having it. For the money, it is a superior pistol.
I just finished Cajunized & M*Carbo'd my ODG CZ P-01 with a Eeman adjustable trigger. Polished all the moving parts and the slide & trigger are butter. Just received a DPM systen recoil limiter but have not tried it out yet. Best & most accurate, reliable 9mm one can have.
I actually own both the P01 Omega and the Staccato CS. My P01 is heavily modified with Cajun Gun Works Internals, DPM recoil springs, LOK Grips, and Optic Cut for a Holosun EPS Carry. My Staccato CS is basically stock with an EPS Carry as well. It is an extremely tough decision for me... That says a lot for the CZ. I give a slight edge to the CZ P01 because I love the way it looks with my custom grips trigger and hammer. It feels better in my hand than the Staccato, my finger also gets in the trigger guard better than the CS. The CS trigger is better because it is a 1911 SAO trigger which in my opinion is the best trigger in the world, but the Cajunized and polished DA/SA is so smooth it makes me smile. I have owned and shot a wide variety of manufacturers, but my favorite manufacturer is CZ and it's mainly due to the ergonomics and how they feel, not to mention that they are NATO certified built like tanks and reliable, CZ's just feel better than ANY other handgun. With Cajun Gun Works or CZ Customs, the triggers are just as good as a 1911 style trigger. I won't buy another Staccato, but I have 3 modified CZ's... a P01, SP01 and a Shadow 2. To answer the question, my P01 is my favorite of all that I own, but it's a personal preference more so than function. My CS is an excellent gun and gets more admirers whenever I have it, but my baby is my P01 which is my main carry.
I have 4 modified CZ's that are cajunized. They have a longer trigger pull and heavier than my 3 Staccato's. The Staccato's are way easier to rack than the CZ's. This is an issue for my dad who's fingers aren't as strong so he can not rack a CZ but he can easily rack a Staccato. For this reason and a couple mentioned above the Staccato will be easier to operate in old age!!
Dude I have both and have zero failures from both, and have over 3k rounds thru both. Stop it with the bullshit. Both are great guns. Staccato shoots just a tad better to me.
I recently bought the CZ P-01 Omega and Cajunized it before ever firing a round through it. I now have over 1,000 rounds of various brands of factory, reloads and carry ammo and not a single failure. Very accurate and is my daily carry.
CZ P-01 is an outstanding pistol straight out of the box and it does not need any upgrades one of the most accurate pistols that I have ever shot and own..
I have a Cajon P-01 & P-07 as well as a Stacaatto C2 Duo and just purchased a CZ Shadow 2 compact. I like the Cajon triggers a little better than the Shadow 2 Compact but it is still a really nice trigger just more piundage on the double action than the Cajon triggers. Love them all and you can't go wrong with a P-01 especially for the money.
CZ all day everyday. I tried the CS at my local gun range and enjoyed shooting it, however i wasnt impressed enough to be willing to spend $2-2500k for it. CZ is the best out there.
I have 4 CZ75’s, and a P-01. They all have Cajun Gun Works 13# hammer springs and a lightened firing pin spring. It makes the DA pull lighter and much smoother. I’ve never had a failure to fire. 👍👍👍💥
I have the OD Green P-01 and I absolutely love it! I went with the truglo tritium pro night sights orange front blacked out rear and the rear has a nice shelf for one handed manipulation! I also put some thin G10 grips on it and it’s my edc!
DWX compact is one of the most comfy I've ever felt. but... if you like the P01 battery of arms also consider shadow 2 compact. you really can't go wrong with either. the shadow is optic cut and has a slotted rail at about 5-700.00 less so you can get ammo and a red dot. But... DWX compact with Lok palm swells from a compact 75. darn if it isn't just super comfy. only triggers i have tried close to the DWX full/compact are tanfo extremes and CZ TS pistols like Czechmate or tuned 2011s.
I had purchased my P-01 Omega urban grey from Cajun Gunworks. Obviously they built it with all their goodies. It’s an amazing gun but it’s not quite Staccato.
If you want an optic, go Shadow 2. I have a P01 Omega cut for an RMR from CZ Custom. Came with upgraded pins, springs, guide rod, and trijicon night sights. It’s the only reason I haven’t purchased a Shadow 2
@davidmarcey7970 I haven't gotten my hands on the Shadow 2 Compact. I'm not willing to pay MSRP (or over) for it just because it's new. I think holsters could be an issue for it right now too.
I had the same problem at the time you commented about a month ago. My LGS put one on order for me and it took almost 2 months for it to come in. I love it though, so worth the wait. I don’t feel comfortable EDCing a SA gun, love the DA/SA trigger.
Absolutely true. I waited 2.5 years to find one because I’m in a limited capacity state and some sellers won’t ship even if the FFL will restrict capacity for me. Just purchased one yesterday and can’t wait for it to arrive. I’m thinking CZG over CGW because of the wait time. Any thoughts from those who may have used both?
I'd like to respond to your opening message about guns and politics. You're right that most anti-gun people are Democrats. But I think it's mostly because they're ignorant about firearms. Being a Bernie Sanders progressive, I'm very left of center, but I'm also a 2A supporter who own 11 guns. What we need to do is educate the anti-gun Dems about responsible gun ownership. Don't get into arguments about the meaning of the 2A (which unfortunately is worded very ambiguously). Instead of antagonizing them, educate them: let them know that there are a lot of responsible gun owners who carry guns for self-defense. Yes, it's true a lot of crazies are able to buy guns legally, but maybe that's what we need to focus on rather than getting rid of all guns like Australia did. I think Switzerland is a good model for us. Switzerland, like the US, is a country with a high percentage of gun ownership. But unlike the US, they don't have as many mass shootings as we do. I think that's down to firearms education and solid background checks to prevent the crazies out there from getting guns legally.
Reliability CZ everydday all day and twice on Sundays. The trigger on a 2011 is always going to be better. You can make cajun gun works along withnporting to get it closer for like 800 bucks...
I have 3 cajunized CZ’s and 3 Staccato’s. Having cajunized CZ’s make the trigger too light for concealed carry. The CZ slides are much harder to rack compared to a Staccato, this is an issue for my dad who is in early 80’s. Staccato’s are lighter, rack smooth like butter, and have better triggers. You can’t argue a 2011 trigger unless you’ve never pulled one. I’m selling my CZ’s to do more upgrades, including another Staccato!
I bought the cz p-01 last week at grabagun, it is still available for $629.It’s a beautiful gun. The model that is discontinued is the cz p-01 Omega according to the official CZ website.
The lines of Staccato are just too busy - it’s not a good looking gun. The P-01 has a clean and elegant design that will be as enduring and iconic as the original 1911, Hi-Power, CZ-75, Beretta 92 and SIG P-226.
I have a Cajon P-01 & P-07 as well as a Stacaatto C2 Duo and just purchased a CZ Shadow 2 compact. I like the Cajon triggers a little better than the Shadow 2 Compact but it is still a really nice trigger just more poundage on the double action than the Cajon triggers. @alsypniewski Thank you for the feedback! I appreciated it.
Can you switch the safety off while it's in the holster?
I'm getting ready to send my Omega off to Cajun. Can't wait!

That sounds like an incredible setup!

Thanks for commenting and for the feedback! Well said and great insight. I appreciate it.
I have a cz 75 compact. Shoots like a dream
Completely agree! Thanks for commenting!
I also just picked up the CZ 75 Compact. How are you liking it? Haven’t shot mine yet
CZ75C is my ccw. Can't beat it, especially for the price.
CZ is a million times more reliable.
Thanks for commenting. I haven't had any issues with reliability with the CS, but the P01 has a tremendous track record for being reliable.
You must be on crack. Both are equal in reliability
This guy is clueless
@@Rubelesswho is?

Completely agree!
All modern guns are accurate, they are more accurate than you.
Lok grips are the only upgrade needed. Everything else is just for fun/ personal preference
Love my CZ p-01, just put night sights on it. Carry IWB often.

I really appreciate the feedback and thanks for the sub!

Cajun Gun Works and CZ Custom in Mesa AZ are my go to suppliers to enhance any CZ!
Thanks for commenting!
i have the CZ and enjoy it, but cant wait for one day to get my hands on the staccato
Completely understand that. Thanks for commenting!
CZ ALL DAY
Well said!
I have always wanted one of those bro, cool video
Thanks 👍
DWX, in my opinion. I'm biased being that is a grail gun I want. Also my wife has had a PO1 since 2007 and I have a pcr. Both great pistols.
It's on my list too!
DWX compact is one of the most comfy I've ever felt.

Thx for info and show
Regarding intro: Stalin would have called them "Useful idiots". It's a world wide power grab
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Question.. would you choose the p01 and have it Cajonized... or go get the shadow 2 compact?
If you want an optic, go Shadow 2. I have a P01 Omega cut for an RMR from CZ Custom. Came with upgraded pins, springs, guide rod, and trijicon night sights. It’s the only reason I haven’t purchased a Shadow 2

Many people had it Cajonized long before the Shadow 2 Comp was released....and there are still differences.
Keep in mind shadow 2 doesnt have a firing pin block so in theory the p-01 might be more drop safe if you are going to carry it on you.
can't find the p-01 anywhere ( i know the omega was discontinued but the other cannot be found either)
Thanks for commenting. Hope you're able to find one!

CZ only makes models in batches. You just have to ready when a batch of what you want hits the shelves. Probably once a year, maybe twice.
Absolutely true. I waited 2.5 years to find one because I’m in a limited capacity state and some sellers won’t ship even if the FFL will restrict capacity for me.

Both amazing guns and you should own both.
Thanks for commenting!
Ive heard of people with 100k rounds in there p01 withought changing parts there millitary testing was 50k
That's amazing! They're built like a tank!
CZ thanks.

I have a question for you. I've seen your videos on both the CZP01 and the Sig P210 carry, how do they compare?
Thanks for the question! Is there a particular aspect of a comparison that you're interested in?
Yes, is the trigger and the action comparable with the sig P210?
The P01 is da/sa. The P210 is sao and has a better sa trigger.

Is the cz p01 still in production? I can’t find one anywhere. I heard I was discontinued last year

Great point!
You should not take selfies
If the pistol does not have the NATO stock number it not go through the same testing
I'm curious why you think that.
Wow
Care to elaborate?
Leave Politics out of it!
No.
I like it, libs suck.
Until the democrats come back to center, maybe a little left of center … no. Politics is what keeps us free.
🇮🇱💋👍❤️👌🇺🇸

I have a Cajon P-01 & P-07 as well as a Stacaatto C2 Duo and just purchased a CZ Shadow 2 compact. I like the Cajon triggers a little better than the Shadow 2 Compact but it is still a really nice trigger just more poundage on the double action than the Cajon triggers. Love them all and you can't go wrong with a P-01 especially for the money.

I have to ask this but how does the p-01 compare to the C2?
