    CZ P01 and CZ P07 are 2 of my highest round count pistols. All of my P01/PCR are upgraded by CZC or CGW and my P07's are all upgraded by CGW. P07 is my hands-down favorite of the 2 and I score higher with P07 than with P01 just about every time. P07 absorbs more of the recoil and muzzle rise is less than P01.

      P-07 is my favorite also. I just got my P-07 back from JagerWerks a few weeks ago and now supporting the trijicon SRO.

    I loved my P07 (2nd gen) but had to sell it...and 3 yrs ago, I picked up a P01 custom shop. The trigger on that thing is insanely smooth. You really have to pull it back slowly to stop at the wall. If you do a smooth steady squeeze though, it will fire without felt wall stoppage. When I was first looking around and unfamiliar with CZ's custom shop options, I saw one P01 at one gunshop that was quite affordable...then saw the P01 custom at a different LGS that was slightly over a grand. Only the hammer, figure 8 dot on dot sights, rear sight shape & placement, plus the thin grips, were what distinguished the 2. I already had a 75 compact and a 75 b in matte stainless, so I ultimately decided on spending the extra $$$ on the custom shop, and I'm not regretting it, nor will I ever sell it!

    Right now I have to go with the P01. I haven’t cracked the 1000 rd mark yet but had zero malfunctions. Have around the same rd count with my P07 but have had feeding issues (just a few). I believe it to be the ammo, but it had to be sure. I like the fact that the P01 is NATO certified. That was a huge selling point to me, that thing is a tank.

    P07 weight is. 27.7 oz
    P01 weight is. 28.1oz
    Less than a oz. So nothing to complain about or really compare.

    I’m inclined to the P01. The comments surprise me a little. The experience isn’t as consistent as I thought. In terms of perceived recoil and the like. I’m inclined towards metal guns. That’s the deciding factor for me. When it comes to a purchase I’ll buy what’s available. And either will make me happy.

    I have a S2C I’m training a lot with it and possibly want to compete with it eventually, so I want a CZ DA/SA for carry and price won’t exclude the P01 . Would it make sense to choose one over the other in that equation. Really not interested in sending it for trigger upgrades (today anyway 😂)

    • @ChamberOneTactical
      @ChamberOneTactical  6 месяцев назад +3

      If you are already training frequently with the S2C then the p01 is going to be almost identical in feel, other than the trigger pull. The only downside to the p01 is that slim slide sometimes is hard to get a hold of. The p07 has a slide very similar to the S2C but the frame is just a little different. In my opinion the po1 would be a better choice for you, not only for the more aftermarket options for the future, but also the vast similarities to the gun you are already training so much with.

      Thanks again for the insight. I went with the P-01 Changed the sights to LPA adjustable sights from CZ Parts before my first shots and I shot it very well. I put 200+ no hiccups, I didn’t put defensive ammo through it (forgot 🤦🏽‍♂️), I’ll be back at the range this weekend to take care of that with more shots I don’t expect any issues 🤷🏽‍♂️ it a CZ!

    P-07 w/threaded barrel was my first CZ and really like it. Picked it up on a whim. Then I picked up the S2C, then 75D PCR and P-01 in Urban Gray w/threaded barrel. I like them all and shoot them reasonably well. Thinking about making 75D PCR my new carry gun. Have kept them all stock. For me personally I can't see messing with factory specs and reliability. Also, if I have to use one defensively then upgrades to triggers, etc could be a bad thing in court.

    Good video boys, i do believe you can swap a decoder on the new carry pistol you pushed to the side tho (FYI) also the omega trigger wouldn’t need a Cajun upgrade. And the lighter PO7 is the smarter choice for carry although the P01 is indestructible. I’ll subscribe. You kids made a fine vid

    I probably have about 7k rounds thru my P01 and haven't had to upgrade any internals. I carry it, and clean it here n there haha it's good to go. The stupid handgun roster here in CA is the only thing keeping me from adding the P07 to the arsenal.

    I own both a Shadow 2 and a P10C, both without the optic ready slides. I purchased them prior to the optic ready models being available. I would not purchase any of these two pistols. If CZ wanted to they could come out with an optics ready model, but they chose not to cater to their loyal fans. When looking for a polymer DA/SA pistol I went with the Grand Power MK23 K-100 optics ready pistol. It’s an exceptionally accurate and reliable pistol that is well built. The rotating barrel also helps mitigate the felt recoil. The only thing that I don’t like is the plastic shoe on the trigger. There are other companies than CZ that are actually listening to their customer base so why should I reward CZ for their engineering laziness.

    I don't have experience with the P07 but I can bet the shadow 2 compact is leagues better. I disagree with most of the things said against the shadow.

    • @wendellhatcher7011
      @wendellhatcher7011 6 месяцев назад +1

      Actually it isn't better. It is just an smaller version of the shadow 2. The p01 was that without the rail, reddit option etc... you can take a p01 send it to impact machines and have all of that done plus cajunize it for around 600 to 700 bucks... add a comp or ports and you have a gun that is insanely smoother for the price of a shadow 2 compact.. the price alone and customization makes it worth a look. Also, the decocker for carry is important.
