Cut the rest of the banana split up graft the Rat Rod body onto the banana split and use jeep motor transmission transfer case and axles would be a cool build and everyone has xj jeep part's

I have one like that. Her name is Mohanna. Because she’s so ugly she’s not worth one cow. 8 years later, she’s traffic light famous. Everyone wants a pic. Like the paparazzi. On construction sites, she doesn’t move (until instructed…) everyone else moves around her. 😂🤣😂
3:40 I like this kind of episode, It answers the question "Why can their truck do so much hard work, as compared to my stock Jeep or Truck" ... Because when they breakdown, they are constantly upgraded and strengthened" :)
Yuppers, tho my current zj with the 5.2 & 249transfercase, still basically stock, only have a 4inch lift, longarm, & 31so far, there are definitely going to be opportunities for upgrading in the future, tho even that's gonna take a while due to low(for me anyways) miles on it, only 255k, and the other 3 zj had with the 4.0 all went 455-500k miles, before succumbed to rust in wis, but that's not an issue here in texas
Those straight six jeep motors are nearly impossible to kill/seize. Yeah, it might drop a cylinder (or three!), but they will cool down and continue to chug along.
Its gotta be the 4 litre though. They made pretty decent torque too

I worked on one that ran out of coolant, had a bad miss..OK< take the spark plugs out, 1 was filled with aluminum, look inside and see the top of the connecting rod, biiig hole in the top of the piston!
kinda wondering if something similar didn't happen to the rudicon, or a blown head gasket between 2 cylinders
@@Rx7man We we’re replacing one for a friend at my old shop as “after hours project” (AKA: beer payment job). It was “sharing” compression between 2 (maybe 3!) pistons. Wanted to send it out with a bang and bricked the gas pedal. 20 min later it was running. Drained oil and coolant, bricked the pedal again at well past redline. 30-40 minutes later we gave up trying to kill it. Tough hombres.
If your up for the ratrod build I'd say go for it. I think it would be a fun build to watch.

Nothing screams LS like a blown up 4.0 straight six. Go for it Rudy, the Rud-I-con needs an LS and your the man for the job. You know you want one and that Jeep deservers one. Just do it.
Scrap the ls bs, stick with the all jeep swapping of parts, or at least stay in the parent company line of parts used

@@josephp1592 I'm not talking about the results of an LS swap, but the swap process itself. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt... Aside from that, I like keeping to the same manufacturer - as someone else commented, I think a 4.8L from a Grand Cherokee would be more interesting.
@@josephp1592 hard saying anything to those running wild with whatever they've been brainwashed into whatever the latest greatest that everyone should be putting in everything, I've put buick 350 & 455 in a couple non buick vehicles and a few other unconventional swaps, just from what I know and have done thinking at least keep with its lineage,
@@edzimdahl1158 The LS is nearly a bolt in, it weighs less and it's just a better plant compared to the 4.0. If this Jeep were in pristine condition I would say leave it alone. This thing is hardly show room quality and transplanting to a better plant is hardly blasphemy. Rudy is the right guy for the project with the right vehicle.

Not trying to put too many dumb ideas out there, but the Jeep 4.7l V8 fits really nice and in bone stock form, the H.O. version makes more power and torque than almost all of the stroker 4.0 straight-6 motors. Fit an electric fan instead of the goofy hydraulic setup Daimler used and have a 545RFE from a Grand Cherokee rebuilt and she'll be rock solid.
So happy to see your channel going strong, Rudy! Looks like a lift is needed in your future! Especially if the rat rock is coming home!
YES ! Build a sweet Rat Rod 4wd out of that old car , you will never regret it and those who see it on the road and trails will never forget it !

I say build a rat rail buggy for the dunes you already have a nice rock crawler, you need a go fast buggy for the sand.

Rudy, while its out at least flip the engine over and put fresh bearings in the bottom end. Maybe a new oil pump as well. That'll keep it going for awhile longer.

As a non-gearhead that just likes watching your channel and Matt's it's fun to see how all you car guys help each other out. Good luck with getting the Rudicon back in action.
Rudi, your a lucky guy with all the support you got. If you have the space, time, and money it would be fun for your channel to cover. A rat rod has to stand out, so it lot of planning to get all of the interesting details to work together. Just a thought, have you considered having the Rudicon wrapped instead of paint? Might be a good time for something like that when the engine is down.
It would be an epic project to see the rat rod!

First time I have seen Rudy, Trevor and Matt in the same video for weeks, thought there must have been some big disagreement or whatever. Rudy has His own channel, that is what I missed and did not know about.

Rudy is Matt's son. He stepped away from MORR to do his own thing and start his own channel. Nobody ran him off.
I think linking Fab Rats, Mischif Maker, Robby Laton, Trail Mater, and now Rudy together was a good RUclips business move to engage more viewers who enjoy this type of content. Lizzy could use her on channel as well with all her different interests. Matt has always shared the limelight and given other credit.
@@chrisloehr6641 Your answer is probably the closest in stating how this happened. If there was a video explaining the absence of Rudy from the almost daily Recoveries and His own Channel, I was no notified of it.

About the rubicon, I know everyone says LS but I really like the new motor in the banana. 6 cylinder torque for off road.
