Bentley didn't hesitate! "That's fine." 😂 Little Grip been trained up RIGHT!
Dying here with the super casual That's fine.
Lol, I was thinking the same thing, 😅😂
I love that Bentley, he's a great kid💪
Haha came here to comment that
lol favorite part of the vid
Bentley and his dad are turning into a real comedy duo. Derek almost falls through the hood, Bentley says "That's fine". We all know where that expression comes from.
I noticed that too 😂
Looks like Bradley is the mamas boy, because the only times he's helping his dad he seems to be doing it against his will.
“We all know where that came from” 😂😆😆
You and Bentley make a great team Derek! Nice work on the cub cadet Bentley!! Look forward to seeing it all spiffed up cruisin! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You know, what I would really like to see is that old beauty, sitting in my driveway, with the vgg logo left on it of course, hint-hint
@@comeenyorhair9361 Why are you judging a child that you don't even know based on what you see on some youtube videos? The fact that you even know his children's names is creepy enough. Don't pretend like you know the intimate details of a family just because you watch youtube. It's weird.
Derek, man, it is so good to see that you are one of the few who still gets it. Do not let Motortrend take that away or poison you! Stay true to keeping the hot rodding, do-it-yourself in your own garage style. Us guys who can't just go out and buy brand new stuff, we value how you show us how to still do this. Thanks for still being like you were day 1 of VGG
Much appreciated, man!
YESSS!!!! A FORD POWERTRAIN IN THIS FORD PICKUP TRUCK !!!!
I’d honestly just love to see Derek reviving the vehicles that he already has in his possession. He’s on the road so much that I get secondhand exhaustion just watching him
I remembered from the revival that the truck had a mystery electric fault that got 'solved' by moving a bunch of sketchy wires lol.
I honestly totally agree. I'd love to see more builds of the cars he revives so other people can enjoy them
302-C4-9 inch? APPROVED!! Glad the number one RUclips channel Little Grip Garage was there to help! Love it!!
i agree i neary vomit when i see an old ford runing a chevy engine [ cheap nasty ]iam a mopar guy but ? my chioce 351 top loader 9 inch
I approve, but think 8 inch makes more sense behind an SBF
YEAH! And Dirthead Dave making a suspension! Gonna be SO good.
Windsor Heads!
Don't put a junky Ford engine in it there's a reason Chevy engines power Fords because they are the best !!!
“That’s fine.”
Little man coming through with perfect timing and execution!
This is me and my 83 year old Dad.....in Pennsylvania, where there is an Annual State Inspection we never failed
Derek, I am currently watching this from my hotel room about to fall asleep and tomorrow I will be getting married and I would just like you to know that my fiancé, wife as of tomorrow (June 8th) and We love watching your videos. We always make a date night out of them every Friday and it’s something I hope to include our kids on someday! keep up the amazing videos and being a great family man!
Here is some free advice for the Marriage. Tell her you are gonna buy an $8000 car and let her get mad about it for a few days. Then buy what you really want...the $3000 dollar transmission and tell her that she was right. You can't afford the $8k you never really wanted to spend either so you did the responsible thing and got the transmission. You listened to her.
@@brockryan3405 your an evil genius.
Congrats on the marriage man
Congratulations!
Congrats
Little Grip’s channel in 20 years… “This (insert generally undesirable automobile here) has been sitting untouched for 23 years… in my Dad’s pasture.”
“Have I worked on this before? I’m actually sure I have!” 😂
Derek, i swear to everything, bentley is legitimately just a mini you, he'll grow up doing everything your style and juat have a grand old time and thats how he'll remember you even when you're dead and gone, great duo!
Yess, yess, and yess. A Ford back into a Ford swap engine, transmission and a Ford 9inch with disc brakes you definitely got my vote Derek.
Disk brakes aren't necessary, but a Ford power train is!
I love these episodes with Bently. Your father-son interaction is humbling to those of us who raised boys. A joy to watch.
Derek, you all deserve a
vacation!!!!!!!
We will still be here when you come back .
Please don't burn yourself out
This is a VGG vacation. He’s home doing what he loves with his family. What’s better !!
I thought this too!! Derek you seem Tired, If you need some time off you need to take it! we will re-watch all your vids until you get back! a vacation at home for you would do wonders!!
Yeah I agree he needs some time away from work to charge up the old battery on him.
@@hemichargerrt01 I definitely thought Derek looked exhausted on the recent Barracuda rescue. I think a break from filming these, and Roadworthy Rescues, and car shows would definitely be in order. Derek! Take a real vacation!
Keep it Ford powered. Id go 5.0/T5/8.8
Dad and Bentley working together are precious. Gets me in the feels in a good way
That truck is going to be awesome! Dave is skilled with homemade suspension, air bags, and weird stuff. He also seems to be a really good dude.
Bentley saying “well your master cylinder just went to a 90 degree angle” had me dying laughing. Love the videos of you two! Reminds me so much of wrenching with my dad when I was younger! Thanks for always sharing and entertaining your fans!
I was hoping someone else caught that lol. Bentley's got the same great sense of humor his dad has
About time you got back to the chop top. It made it to a t-shirt (which I have) and then nothing. It's one of my favorite rescues. So glad to see it again!!
Glad you're into it
He's right it's just perfect, the amount of chop on that thing. Someone had a good eye for it when they did it.
@ViceGripGarage I am glad to see your going back to ford undercarriage. Never seen a Mopar powered 35 ford that's for sure
That's the perfect power train for that truck fabulous plan sir dude🤠💯I seriously can't wait to see it put all together especially since I have the t shirt too!😅
That was a Great O’Reilly commercial.
this might be my favorite of all of the revival cars you have had on the channel. cant wait to watch you make all ford powered again, and make it RIGHT
Great to see father and son working together I miss them times they grow up fast my son is 32 now and he works on cars with his son god bless and happy 4 th to everyone
goodness that boys mullet alone is worth hitting the little thumbs up hand thingy
If it doesn't start right away don't keep cranking it. Check the basics fuel, spark, timing, missing parts.
Seeing Vice Grip and Little Grip garages working together, priceless!!!
He certainly has a willing young helper. Great to see father and son like this. Brings a smile to this grandpas face.
Best collab ever 😂
How about a Bentley and Ralphie collab
"That's fine"😅
Glad to see you be able to work closer to home. Your broad knowledge will be helping me on some future projects, and some things that I’ve already accomplished. Good to see the little feller gets to help. He is gonna be one smart cookie
That is an excellent PLAN! Make it Ford again. It should be a lot of fun to drive afterwards. In other words, your plan- APPROVED!
The smallest human you are responsible for is turning out to be a great worker and mechanic! Well done Derek!
Ain't he tho!!!
@@eastorangeebay I think he was in on that gag with the bonnet, cos he was trying not to laugh !!!!
Love this type of content… from none running trash, to blasting down the road treasure, and all the intense, tedious work in between. Got got my thumbs up finger ready for each episode. Can’t wait!! 🥳🥳🥳
Thanks 👍
I love seeing the smallest human you’re responsible for with you. Keep up the amazing work!
So looking forward to watching this project. Love seeing the little human working with you
I'm not a Ford guy, but I love the plan for this truck. Classic hot rod treatment. Always great to see a kid helping a guy out too.
Do ford's make the best hot rods???
Ford is the original hot rod
Sounds like a great low buck project
Derek DO IT, that sounds COOL!!!! This is Chuck from AZ. I'M a 79 year old hot roader with out a hot roader. I love watching you do what I can't. Keep it up, but don't get burnt out, your shows are awesome.
You and Dave together can’t wait!! Can’t wait for all the videos on this project
My husband just introduced me to your page a couple weeks ago. We watch 1 or 2 videos every day!! We love your content and how involved your kids are!!
That Bentley boy working with dad is ... emotional for me. Good for you Bentley! I'm sure you make your dad proud. You're going to be alright in life. Keep dad close and learn as much as you can. So many young men don't have this.
I'm all in with the rest of the VGG family. A mildly modified 302 should be fun.
A 300 6 cyl has more tourqe but the 302 has more hp.
Buttt with a blower on it
Not wrong. And you can do it pretty affordably. Rip the emission stuff off, intake, 4barrel, probably some better breathing exhaust. Not gonna be burnout car by any means, but easily fast enough for some smiles!
Derek, we often hear you talk about working with your Dad, the stuff you do with Bentley and your other sons are going to be with them for a lifetime. My wife listens to your videos while I’m watching them and it just warms her heart to hear the affection you have for those little fellers. Love the channel, if you ever make it to Central Ohio a meal is on us. ❤️✌️😎
Thanks for not only keeping the authentic style of your youtube channel over the years the same, but for also being one rad dad. You're the best, man!
its so nice to see bent coming into his own, gaining confidence and really soaking up all that informationals. hes gona be a hell of a mechanic in a few years.
He already is *now*.
Derek, thank you for keeping it Ford.
You’ve got a great helper and it’s too cool that he wants to be involved
In keeping History alive.
You guys make a great team.
Awesome to see you and Bentley working on that old truck. He’s a great little helper. You’re a lucky man Derek.
I have to admit these father son videos are Mt favorite ones. I wish I had a dad growing up that would have shown me car stuff
I haven't watched this yet, but I just wanted to say that I'm subscribed to all of your channels. Just wanted to say that Little Grip Garage gives me hope in this world. You and Jessica have raised your children very well. Thanks again
Thanks so much!
Great plan with the 302/c4/9 combo! Your son Bentley is more of a man than 85% of the grown men we have now in our country. You’re a great dad, Derek!
Lots of good SBF and C4 parts available. Bently wouid one hell of an Operating Engineer ,when hê is 18
Strewe up on the first message. Bently would be one hell of Operating Engineer ,when hê is 18
Glad to see you bringing this truck back it is one of my favorites. Looking forward to watching all the improvements
APPROVED!! I have been waiting for you to revisit this awesome truck. Derek, you did it again. Be eager to watch this thing Do amazing things. Thank you for bringing us along!!
"It's smoking a lot. Yeah, Mopar life...". I lost my drink.
Thank you Derek for not LS swapping this one!! I’ll be eagerly waiting the the next video in this series!! Glad to see Bentley getting involved as well.
This sounds awesome! I can't wait! Loved that truck. I'm happy to see it back!
Keep it as is....drive to shows with Vice Grip on the doors and have fun!!!
Thank you for going back with a Ford drivetrain in this old truck. I can't wait to see the final build.
Glad to see the Ole Ford back & I especially love to see you going back with Ford drive train.
me 2
I love that you and your son work together and that he has a love of older cars and the resto process.
Love how you're bringing back clips of old revivals as review. Great touch!
I'd love to see the budgeting for a project like this, maybe an estimate and then how much it really cost by the end.
Gotta love Bentley, jumping in and helping as much as he does. He's gonna be an awesome mechanic as he gets older.
He will be teaching the auto mechanic class !
And it's awesome how Derek lets him struggle a little bit with the tire instead of just doing it himself.
Love going back ford powered! Can’t wait to see this build. It was one of my favorite rescues
Reminds me of my project '37 international that I got a little while ago... Took everything off and going through it all... love old hotrods!!
It is really great to see you working with your son. It's my new favorite part of the show! Keep doing it...he's got a good head on his shoulders and you make a good team.
Bentley is one lucky young man to be able to hang out with his pops in the shop doing what they enjoy doing. Awesome video Derek and Bentley. 🔧🔧🔧
It’s pretty cool to see Bentley really turning into a great mechanic, that is not phased by dad’s commentary or questionable wiring. I’m definitely going to be watching what comes next. Make sure to keep Bentley as one of the builders on this great project. I like the all ford idea. Thanks for all you do, Derek and Jessica.
Love the 35 ford and the up grades you are talking about love all your bringing back around and driving them home great to see someone who really appreciates those oldies but goodies
Great video. Last time I moved a truck with a side by side I threw a tire on the front bumper and pushed it. But you know a million ways to do anything. Love the channel! Looking forward to more.
Watching this reminds me of time time I spent helping my dad. These memories are worth more than most memories I have.
Best part of this channel for me is the time you spend with your son and family. I am definitely in on this build. 👍👍
So nice to watch someone, (a butch bearded guy), with an amazing heart that actually cares. It's a breath of fresh air. A family man to. What an amazing guy. Keep up the amazing work brother! 🇬🇧
I really liked the quick re-hash video montage of the first episode on the truck. Good storytelling.
Derick, your son is going to be the Master mechanic everyone wished they had. I swear he's gonna know more, and have the 1st hand experience to back it, more than than literally, anyone else. You are a good Father. America could use more men like you sir.
Thanks for the kind words!
I’m so in!!! As soon as you mentioned that Lincoln I shouted 9”! The fact that you kept the drivetrain, and parted out the rest to people that needed those rare pieces is awesome.
Love when your boys get to work on them with you! As a traditional lover it is hard for me to see the old trucks and cars chopped and dropped. But I agree that the chopped top on this one isn’t bad. Can’t wait to see the rebuild!
Extremely excited for this build? Rebuild ? Revival of a revival ? I dont know but im excited . 1 of my favorite rigs on the channel
This is gonna be the build us Ford guys have been waiting for!!!
The overheating on this one is what I remember most. Pulled off at some random place getting water for her. She’s definitely a “hot” rod. Thanks for sharing Derek!
I’m excited about this one. I love the idea of the Lincoln drivetrain. Every guy with a soft spot for old Fords will love you for doing that. Can’t wait to watch it come together! Keep it up man!
I want to see everything. From bodywork to wiring. Engine and frame to interior. I'm invested in this. I remember when you went and got it and I'm glad you are bringing it back to life. It's nice to see something worked on rather than doctored up to get somewhere lol
TWO thumbs up!! We Ford guys are pumped. I couldn't bear to see another LS swap. Please make sure there's a blue oval on both sides of the fold-up hood so all the Chevy guys know what they're going see under it.
Right IDEA! Proves you should never throw away ANYTHING!
Yes yes yes....glad to see it again for sure, you've had so many rides on the channel that I wanna see again and this one was one of the top cars I wanted to see get some updates for sure.🤘👍
Hey fellow, you are so right on! Criuzing on rt 422 outside of Pottstown, late at night by myself with a gear driven 40 Ford coupe. Especially after ripping a few stop lights on High Street, oh what memories! Saddly the coupe went to another home, butttt!,there is always another project in the works. Thanks for what you and your kin are putting out there as family friendly learning cinama!
This is probably one of my favorite episodes. Absolutely love flashbacks of older videos. Please do that more!!!! Love it.
Thanks!!
It's sure great to see a dad with a son who isn't not afraid to get his hands dirty. He's going to grow up just right.
I can't tell you how happy a fella is to see you going with Ford everything in the old truck....
A fella here can't wait to see a build series on this truck!! Sounds awesome!! Cheers dude!
"You're gonna drive me to drinking with that Hot Rod Lincoln." It was a classic song from the 50's. YES! YES! YES!
Stoked to see you putting a Ford powerplant back in it! Very excited to see the build on this, film as much as you can, why not ya know.
Theese family adventures are my favourite! Sure is nice to see. Father and son. Hardworking kid he is.
Down and dirty used for used on the cheap is what most subscribers can honestly afford. That's cool. That said this truck would be so cool with 3 stromburgs sitting on an eldebrock attop offenhousered flatty
Glad to see you at home with your family. And having Little Grip helping out just adds to it, does my heart good. Thanks for all you do, Happy Friday ~ Chuck
You and Bentley going back and forth about the white wire, reminds me of my dad and I to this day. The white wire! the one with the end... you know the one.... oh, the other white wire...
"your master cylinder just went to a 90 degree angle" that is exactly what just happened man, i was dying! hahaha
woo great project, i would love to see dave helping a guy out on another cool build. he always seems to know what to do and just gets after it and finishes crazy projects
I'm heartened by your relationship with your boys. I never had that with my dad. I wish he had been as supportive and cooperative with me when it came to wrenching on things.
Glad to see you bring back the old pickup
Unbelievable how far your channel has come. Been a follower since the beginning when you built stuff in your driveway. Great content and love the fact that you are including your boys in the channel. 35 -36 Ford trucks are way cool. I’m a Chevrolet guy myself but I like the ford in a ford idea!
I love these kind of builds and Dave helping out is awesome. This will turn out to be an awesome truck. Fantastic build with your boy too. I am watching this on Fathers day so Happy fathers day. I always liked that you do this stuff with your boys. You are a great dad.
Be glad to see it all back ford. This is one series I will not miss. Thanks for all the work you do, it means a lot to an old, disabled guy. Worked on old cars all my life. Now I can enjoy watching you guys. My boys used to be all up in it with me. Thanks again.
I'm a Mopar guy, but I'm glad to see this Ford truck staying all Ford. I like that. I want to see it all.
302-C4-9" combo is brilliant especially since they were already in the collection as parts from another rescue! Making it all Ford will be special. Looking forward to this series.
Just makes good sense to use the pieces of the puzzle you have on hand.
Love how you spend time with your son and teach him things. I was always the flash light holder. My dad would always get mad at me when the light wasn't exactly where he needed it to be while working on things. I just wanted to be hanging out with my friends playing football, baseball, or just shooting each other with bb guns. Nowadays, they make magnetic flash lights, which would've taken the place of those times in my childhood that I hated. But if had a dad like you, who got me more interested into what he was doing, instead of just holding a flash light, I would be a better mechanic today! Kudos to you, and your son, for such a fantastic job well done!!! Subscribed and Liked!!!
Welcome to the channel, glad you enjoy!
Great recycling program! I also like episodes as opposed to 3 hour movie length epics. Love your content, thank you.
Glad you like them!
You guys are always so busy, glad to see that old truck gettin' some love. I think that old motor was all but shot when you got her there but the truck is definitely worth a decent resto.
I'm loving the plan for this one! I saw it up close at Nashville super speedway the other day. It's looking way better already. Can't wait to see more.
100% on board with going back with the Ford driveline. This thing is gonna be awesome!
