I love how you're always nice to Ed. So many people in these fast-paced times just brush the oldsters off. Nice to see there's some who still value them.
After my retirement I am always in the workshop, I am treated as part of the owners family.
It's amazing how many customers will come straight to me for advice rather than going to the younger staff.
You can definitely see that Ed is not only a friend to everyone at morr he is a special part of Matts family.
I am close to 60 and am invisible.
❤
I know I posted it before, but the story with Ed, is that when Matt bought the land, Ed was basically squatting there, even though he used to own it. Matt was told that Ed was an alcoholic and a thief and could never be trusted. He was advised that he should throw Ed off the property. Matt not only allowed Ed to stay, but accepted him as a member of his family…. The rest is history
Amen
1.75M subscribers! Holy cow, watching this channel evolve from Matt, Ed, and Randy slinging the camera part time sure has been a fun ride.
This channel has a bit of everything: Recovery Work, Field Repairs, Vehicle Building, Some Traveling and most importantly DOGS 🐶 together with some old-school tv series reverences
I've been a subscriber since Matt had 4000 subscribers. To be honest, these first videos with XJ were the best for me.
He had about 70,000 when I subbed, it's been a great ride.
been there from canada
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Am i allowed to point out the shackles for the anti-wrap bars are going the wrong direction?? Lol.
Yes, but will they listen?
How in the world would you know Rory!?! 😂
I’m sure you pickup the phone and gave him a call to let him know.
@@danrussell3439 actually I didn't. Wanted to see if he would read my comment. 😂🤣
@@trailmater that’s even funnier
Hey Matt ! Love your content! I’m a long time contractor/ commercial maintenance guy for the last 30 years or so . I’m a supervisor of maintenance for about 3 million square feet of warehouse space presently. Please extend my admiration of whoever finished your drywall ! Noticeably nice work! Good on you for choosing those guys !
Good to see Mr Ed may God bless him all of his days
Mr Ed is a horse, of course of course. You must mean Ed.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I wish they’d get him a hearing aid so he could be more apart of the conversations tho
The Golden Nugget is what brought me to MORR, Fabrats, Robby Layton, Chads Fab, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few more. Its nice how a project has brought lighht to s many great channels
🤷♀🤷♀🤣🤣😉😉😉😉😉😉✌✌✌✌😀😀🤞🤞🤞🤞
The Golden Nugget recovery is how I found the channel, blew my mind what y'all went through to bring Ed's Nugget back.
Best part was when y'all had to float it down the river
And that was probably good , it got all the bugs out when it was a submarine for a bit
Same!
Yeah and he had Lizzy jump in the river after that rope! I wondered wtf is going on why didn't one of the boys jump in?! Turns out Lizzy was a beast in her own right, but also Matt has a task for everyone and certainly helps develop young people. And he don't like wet boots.
Same here
I like how the camera man walks up to Ed and Ed automatically gives the weather forecast !!!!
😘😘👍👍😀😀😉😉✌✌✌✌
Programmed reflex response. That is his cue to do his job.
That little twangy bumper at 8:48 is just bliss. Nicely done cameo with Ed! Just like in the old videos with Ed's weather report. Classic.
😍😍🚙🚙😭😭😘😘
I woke up thinking, I bet there is MORR content to watch. To my excited glee here you are!!!! The channel I amazing, seeing it grow has been a joy. Family run, great crew, great behind the scenes crew. Dream team!
Please make sure next project ,if any, to be a double cabin to accommodate your staff ,especially in bad weather. Good job!
It's always a joy to see Ed out in the shop or along for a ride. He just seems like such a nice guy and it's so wonderful how he's an important part of Matt's family. They're lucky to have Ed, and Ed is lucky to have them.
Just some advise I've learned. When you cut a spring you make it stiffer. I know you said you want it to do good through the whoops and cutting the spring to get the ride height you want might make it to stiff in the whoops. Definitely something to think about. ✌🤙
Although minor trimming, especially cutting the tighter coils at the top, won't make a very large difference in spring rate.
Go Papa smurf Go! I also love seeing the sons working with dad. & Jake is gold. Love the sauce, fabrication lingo,"whisle"😗 the business, FOTF. Etc. Our family has a myriad of sayings from TV, movies & various family members from years gone by. Jakes saying are quickly being added into our vocabulary. "The sauce" Luv ya Jake! Keep learning & congrats on the corvair gift & it running! Very proud of you & all your efforts.
The Save the Golden Nugget had the most RUclipsrs Collaboration I have seen. And Matt said it best, Because they love Ed and it's Fun ✓
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This is by far the best content on RUclips. I could watch Matt and his amazing crew all day long. Thank you for allowing me to live vicariously through your builds and recoveries. A++++++ would watch again! ❤❤❤

It's a happy time for us old Armchair Generals to share (via the tube) all the fun stuff Matt's team is doing in so many great activities. Amazing how much knowledge (and, natural entertainment ability) he has stored away behind those whiskers. Thanks.
👍👍👍👍👍👍😜😜❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah the Spud Truck 6x6 is back in the shop and lots of progress is being made to move this build forward. Can't wait to see the final product on this one!
Those Die Cast Nuggets are special "ED" ition.

Ol Ed sure is the man. I hope that guy has many more moons left to go.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
I started watching when you were recovering the golden nugget, I remember thinking that these guys are nuts and I was hooked!
👍👍👍👍😍😍😍😍
I could watch an Hour long episode. Especially build videos. There is so much going on. I usually watch 2 or 3 times to get all the nuance.
👍👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
I do a lot of backing up to catch the work and the fun again.
One of Matt's most endearing qualities is his child-like glee. "Let me show ya."
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😜😜
xould get some baffles along the ceiling for some sound deadening. it would help with both filming, echo, and general tinnitus. If Rhetts already noticing...
Can't wait to see Spuddy in action! If it get's done in time drive it as a support vehicle for the races.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Music Choice :
I never really noticed the choice of music until this video , filling the background harmony to "ED's" introduction and weather report.
I love the blues and your particular choice to share.
I have to say, the content, production & family oriented theme all works to make this my very favorite subscription I look forward to watching.
Thank you all for your generous consideration & sharing,
Sincerely ........................
God Bless ... each and every one of you.
Matt is the shop sensei. Passing knowledge through parables.
Excellent work gentlemen. Great seeing Jake taking such initiative to get things done. He's a great addition to the MORR Team
Matt has Ed trained on giving the weather report…..LOL I LOVE ED! He is a cool dude….I bet he has a lot of really good stories!
🚙🚙💕💕🚐🚐🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷♀🤷♀🛠🛠
im sure its not always perfect but what a great thing having your kids working and learning with you day in and day out!
I think Matt has visions of Sugar Corvairs dancing in his head. 😂
Im starting to believe he needs a Seperate Corvair channel. 😂
Matt the corvair guy 😂🤣😂🤣
Tbh I wouldn't mind a dedicated corvair channel
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😜
What a crew this is. Upbeat and having fun working.
Rhett and Kaulin have a sponsorship from Matt's Offroad Recovery? Wow, that is cool! 😁😁😁
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so happy that Matt’s decisions got him to this point in his YT career. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the recovery side which got me watching him. You can tell His heart is in fabrication. It’s evident in this display when talking about the future builds. I look forward to every Sunday Shop Update! 🎉🎉
Matt has AMC (American Motor's Company for the younger crowd) Blood running through his veins.... they were the masters of the "Hybrid" Automobile! ;-)
Nah! It's definitely Corvair Blood in his veins! The hybrid automobile stuff is just a mix of problem solving plus a grown up little boy taking stuff apart and putting it together differently - like a kid combining a bunch of different Lego sets.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😀😀😀😀😀😀😍😍😍😍😜😜
someone else suggested the front height be adjustable, not a bad idea, marry some airbags on the top of the springs, and then you can go up or down as you need. might help on some of those more narly trails. 😀🙏
My dad is 84 and has skin cancer on his left hand, and he thinks it is from holding what he was welding without wearing a glove. Something to consider.
Definitely associated - UV light that causes arc eye also a cause of skin cancer
Also driving vehicles with no tent with arm on window sill if vehicle while driving. That causes it. Common in OTR truckers
Hope he's doing well.
Good to know!!!! Thanks
@@KAnyeDAWay driving a lot with no a/c and your arm on the window frame. My left arm was way more tan ✓
My favorite thing about your channel is that you(Matt) are teaching your boys and others the things you are most passionate about. Real salt of the earth type of stuff!
A signature from Ed, makes it 11% better.
..
Also twin engines DO work, you just have to actually know how to do it. There are several ultra quick twin engined street drag cars in the UK pushing serious horsepower and 1/4mile times.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀✌✌
Your innovative approach to combining Chevy and Ford for the off-road 6x6 project shows remarkable creativity and daring. Your willingness to push boundaries and explore new possibilities reflects an impressive blend of ingenuity and adventure. And I am Floating Village Life.
Your rear end stabilizers look like the ladder bars we had back in my day. It prevented the rear end from jumping up and down and blowing out the tranny or the rear gears. I missed your thought of why you married up the Ford frame section to the spud truck. Your ole buddy is using a Ford frame on the On X build. They seem beefy enough. Always a good video. Btw the walk around on the Corvair's.
easier to splice it to reuse the motor mounts and axle/spring hangers than to re-engineer on the Chevy frame
@@Hyratel Yes , you're probably right. Good video.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀😀😀😀
Really like the looks of the spud truck, setting tall an proud. Matt you always knock it out of the park. Thanks for sharing 🙏.
As a guy who wears hearing aids, please get Ed a set, it is life changing, believe me.
They work better for some than others. They were no use to my dad because he could hear the sounds clearly enough, his brain just couldn't make sense of them. I'm the same.
@@eekee6034 Yes, it took me a break in period, hearing things again in a different way, but, I worked around it.
I wonder if the topic has ever come up?
As generous as Matt is, I'm sure he would buy them for Ed if he wanted them.
@@eekee6034you're not missing anything, not many people nowadays have anything profound to say.
@@bigredc222 I have Costco ones, $1700 for a pair, fit my budget and I can hear great.
So great to see young guys learning with great dads. You have a tight workforce and that's an example of good leadership, patience, and cooperation. Waiting for the next video. :)
Digging the shop, looks like an operating room....
Right had to second take the first clip looked like the new shop.Almost too clean lol

I think I started watching because of the Golden Nugget.
Then stayed for the Biggest off road wrecker.
Now I’m just a regular and love seeing that die cast Golden Nugget, very smart car 👍🏼
Hi Matt hope all is well with you and your team love watching you on RUclips god bless
Matt I’ve been watching you for so long and I think you have the best crew ever right as this point in time. Love ya boys, Colby, Kaitlyn and especially Jake. You’re a great boss and you have such great employees, you deserve each other. Keep up the great work.
Twin engines work. Tony Angelo & Lucky Costa proved it on Hot Rod Garage.
Matt still using the Dad Tax.
Lots of work getting done on the spud truck! NICE WORK!! It's looking great so far!! Always nice to see Ed. Glad he's doing well. Good to see Katelynn stop in for a "hi" spot too.
Big shout out to Ed. Hope he's been feeling good.
Matt, Nice to be able to work with your boys. I love watching you guys
Idaho truck is my french frie favorite
Can they put that on a tee?

I hadn't listened to Jay O'Callahan in decades, but I just watched him tell that story on Mr Roger's Neighborhood, and it was wonderful. Thank you for reminding me.
Appreciating the Katelynn moment.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
25:55 Year ago I was combining two pickup trucks into one heavy duty flatbed, I put the gs tank out of the scrap truck, on the flatbed so it had TWO (it was a really simple job) ..
AND I had one of those OLD "two way" brass valves, 26:11 That I got at an auction years before. It worked perfectly, I mounted the valve under the flatbed, and the fuel line plumbing, was simple!
Only one tank had a fuel gauge though :o)
Actually, car trunks are measured by how many bodies you can fit in them.
Thank you, Kaulin, now I'll have that song stuck in my head for the next week
You the Spud Truck! Woot!!! 🎉❤
Ed is a hell of a person very appreciative and very knowledgeable I would love to sit and talk with him sometime, we all have a past generally we don't live up to it
Ford/Chevy combination, there's a word for that. But this is a family channel.
Yeah they where call AMC’s which owned Jeep…
I consider it fair play, considering how many Ford 32s and others that are GM SBC powered. Being a 67 - 72 C10 owner, it makes me cringe a little, but it's not my spud truck.
If it works, it works. The brand tribalism surrounding truck stuff is so tiring and pointless.
@@flurpoidamen, I’ve owned a truck/suv from all 3 of the major automakers and they all do some things good, some things bad. Fords are underpowered (at least in the era of the modular 4.6/5.4), Chevys are in a constant state of needing small jobs done (they’ll always run though, just not well), and Dodge has…. many issues, but lots of soul. And Hemis. And I enjoy all three equally! Declaring loyalty to a brand that exists just to profit off your loyalty is just silly 😅
Eh, the only thing Ford is the frame graft for the spring towers and the bolt pattern on the axle thats made by Dana-Spicer. It's not LS foxbody heresy yet.
Pinion angles and carrier bearings. Exactly what I needed to learn about on a warm Sunday evening.
MORRBY = Matt’s Off road roll back yanker(wrecker).
It's morbin time
MORR Back" works better
I love Corvairs as well. I had a used '64 turbo convertible, red with white top and interior. I loved that car, but a year after I got it, a very old lady in a Buick ran a stop sign, t-boned me, and the corvair was wrecked beyond repair.
I LOVE frozen candy bars. Especially Reese Cups. But Snickers and Heath Bars are great also.
When I was a kid there was a candy bar called Milkshake, now that was the best frozen candy bar
4:43 Small moment that may be overlooked but i can’t imagine how proud Matt is to have that “issue” of his sons using his shop with a response of “thanks dad”. I hope I’ll hear that someday 🙂
🎉Today is my sons 2nd BIRTHDAY🎉 first thing he asked for is "MATT MATT". Very excited for a new episode. We all love watching you and your family!!❤

Hey, after seeing him in the background for a while now, Jordan’s finally getting some speaking parts! 😉🥰
Yay, Jordan! 🎉❤😊
Hi!! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻😀
Twin engine isn't stupid.. look at the 80's daf dakar trucks..
Glad to see Ed doing well...lot of activity on Spud Truck...tire mounting and more...excellent team work.
Keep the spud truck blue and call it Smurf.
Nooooooo
The build series on this channel are extremely fun.
Even though I like off-road recovery the most.
But you can't do a recovery unless you build a vehicle
Whistling Diesel says twin engines do work. And like Matt said. It's awesome 😊
In the 60' there were dragster that had 4 engines in them also land speed cars ran multiple engines back then and now
@@michaelnieman6218 some tractor pulls they do 6
love where this build is going...i think the spud truck should stay mostly blue with big yellow stripes and accents!

When I was in 8th grade, I believe that was in 1970, I wrote inside my desk, "you can't always get what you want (3X) but if you try sometime, you just might find, you get what you need!" Love it. Can you believe Mick Jagger contributed to my work ethic?!? (And obviously others on this video) Matt, I love the way you are training up your young'uns.
HEY! Good Morning !!
😘😘🤦♂🤦♂🚙🚙😭😭🚙🚙🚙🚙😍😍
I like the fabrication videos the best. I love building things. On another note, Jake is an excellent RUclips personality. His vocabulary is unique, he's funny and talks clearly. Whether with Matt or on his own, he has a YT career for sure. Tom Tom is good too. Have to watch him on his own channel now.
Tell Jake the technical term is fabri-cobbling when you use your eyecrometer to make things😂😂😂😂
Love the eyecrometer
I'd keep the original blue as racing stripes, and do the rest MORR yellow.
My husband was nicknamed "Papa Smurf" several years ago by a dear friend. They love to joke with each other and she called him that one day, and it stuck 😂. So now that we are grandparents he will be called Pop or Papa.
Love watching you guys.
Eds' the man. I really think he is the brains of the whole operation. He's just playing incognito. And seriously, THANKS to Matt and Jaime for all you do for him. Most people his age are just kicked to the curb.
Please I beg you to wear a face shield when using a cut off wheel I watched one blow apart and cut my coworkers face up it was a life changing injury and it was literally a “2 second job”
For an insurance company, these videos are a treasure trove of evidence.
It helps when your face isnt in the line of fire to the blade too, especially if you keep the guard off. But its always good practice with circular blade tools to stay to the side of the blade at all times.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah, skinny wheels are scary. Not sure why so many people are so unafraid of angle grinders, because you should definitely be afraid of them.
Kaulin literally almost died in a car accident due to not taking safety seriously. They will never learn. Mark my words, someday they're going to have a real bad accident. And really, they shouldn't even call it an accident because they continually ignore taking easy safety precautions.
Hey Matt, a little tip on hot tacking, only hit it once. The first tack is hot enough to allow it to move but the second hit usually breaks the tack weld.
20:41 your buff horse looks more like my lil pony 😂
I have suggested for couple years a F-350 SRW crew cab, long bed. Cab chopped to reg cab, then rollback bed put on. AFTER tandem rear wheel conversion. 35” bigger tires for side by sides to medium SUV/cars. But this will be a beast.
At this point, jus give us the weekend video Saturday nite please 😂
When the Toronado cars first came out in 1966, someone built one with two engines and took it on tour. I saw it in Ogden and it was quite amazing back then..
You hiring Matt?
You?
Might want to ask Paul Cox.He's losing 2 employees soon
Katelynn's smile, laugh and bubbly personality is always so refreshing to see! So nice to girl a younger woman striving in the men's world of off-roading and motor vehicule recovery. She's absolutely adorable.
I can't believe that it took you guys this long to comment!

My wife and I enjoy your channel constantly. I heard you do a PSA on the dangers of the old 10 and 2 steering wheel hand positions because of the air bags. Please also tell about the dangers of a passenger placing their feet up on the dash. If anything happens and the air bags deploy you have two broken femurs. Thanks
Jake needs to calm down and stop trying to act cool. Gets old quick.
Agreed. I have to fast forward through his annoying antics.
I spend a lot of time watching thanks for real time scenery as well as real life action.
Y'all have a great channel, and LT's RUclips channel is terrific - low-key and fun and very informational. This collab is going to be spectacular.
You ALL are such Masters at helping people , You're ALL AWESOME and You all have such a great sense of humor, My favorite RUclipsrs. ❤😊✌️
Love the education on the Corvairs! Similar situation with my Alfa Romeo's. Engine blocks all look the same with exception of height for displacement, small stamping mark tells which is 1300, 1600, 1750 and 2000......Body styles differ with grills, lights, side markers and hood step. Fun to learn the differences. As before mentioning, almost got one for high school graduation, but lost contact with them over the years!
