“65 PSI” Matts way of gently roasting the customer 🤣
65 psi alone will get you stuck in sand . What you need to air down!!! Lol
Yet another truck owner spending more on "rims" than tires.
Looks like they had 90psi in the trailer tires too!
Ignorance is not an excuse, it is a choice.
@@felix-ve8jk "They don't have to know what they are doing, they just need to look good doing it", CAG
Matt, your generosity amazes me. The "little guys" who occasionally get a free tow seem genuinely and deeply grateful. Expecting to have a huge bill that suddenly disappears has to be an amazing feeling. You guys do great service to your community and it's visitors.
Yeah, I was coming here to say just this. It looks like the channel, the brand, and the merch is probably helping a lot. Maybe Matt has always been like this. (I'm a casual watcher. I watch it BECAUSE they're so generous with their time . . . inside the team, and also with strangers.) However it washes out, I'm glad Matt and the team are able to extend goodwill to so many people. This kind of stuff is what really makes a person feel pride in their actions. They've built a brand, and rather than just leverage it for the MAXIMUM profit, they seem to be happy to take what they need to do what they wish to do, and then take the extra and use it to help those around them.
Never change. Nothing wrong with success, but finding a way to be successful AND help others in need is a beautiful thing.
youtube pays for it
@@bertfromnz9069 Note that while RUclips pays for them producing and posting videos, RUclips does NOT pay for the tow and rescue service. So Matt's Offroad Recovery/Winder Towing could STILL charge the folks they pull out, which would dramatically increase profits. But Matt and his crew choose to NOT charge. Winder Towing is still a profitable business based on regular tow services.
@@dustymojave Its not like every tow or recovery he does is for free...absolutely not...
@Neon Kauboi hahahha 😂😂👍👍
This guy's got me out at the sand dunes with no charge
Thanks guys 👍
shouldve thrown him a 20 for the favor bro, nice truck
Props for asking if he'd charge! It's super respectful that you recognize the value and even more badass Matt didn't since he was there.
He's like youtube pay for🤣
Massive respect when he asks how much bro and you just shake your head and say ‘we’re already here we’ll get you out’
Ed's grin when you make a big pull gets me everytime. He loves going out and being a part of all this. Also... who knew the truck with 2 inch thick tires was gonna get stuck in the sand??
10" wide loooowprows and a diesel to boot. You noted them too.
mall crawler wheels!
When I seen those city slickers I thought the same thing. I also hope to be treated like Ed if I'm ever a old man
Pickups like that are only good for pulling a float in a certain parade out in San Francisco.
@@ryanwills8856 _"if I'm ever a old man"_ Fingers crossed, eh?
I'll bet folks didn't notice, but @5:53 was a master class in driveline and traction management - Matt got off the go pedal right before he started getting traction from the asphalt. It's subtle, but that's how you keep from breaking stuff!
Oh I noticed, I've seen what happens if you don't!
Also noticed. Bad news if you stay in it.
Yeah alot of the terrain that I run can go from loose sand and silt to hard pack and rocks in real quick succession so ya gonna know just when to snap the throttle shut before parts go 'bang!!' but also not to soon or you'll be stuck between some rock and a sand place!!!LOL!!!
I have learned to turn away from certain four wheeler trails.
That’s the easiest way to snap a shaft. Lotta grip quickly.
I love how Ed always looks a little scared when Matt’s driving more than 10 MPH.
There was a smile there at the end!
@@JeremyCroteau96 I smile to when my adrenaline is flowing like that. LOL
And Ed’s got his venalation on his shirt Right on Ed
The look on Ed's face is I love doing this. Ed is a important part of this show and the respect and care you show him is wonderful.
From the movie 'Cars': "But I've never been off road!"
Pretty boy trucks with pimpin' wheels need to stay on the pavement.
That final scene with Matt and Ed in the Morrvair is pure gold.
yes!
***YESSSSSSSSS*** 😁😎
I'm always super impressed with how capable all their vehicles are.
Frrr
That was absolutely awesome to see you offering your services for free! I respect you greatly for that! Thank you for being an amazing person.
Granted the red truck had over 2,000$ in damages... lmao his day was alittle better. Whole front end was almost blue tooth.
This is one of the rare vids where we get to see that super serious Matt face. I get tense just watching it. Makes one appreciate how serious he takes this work. These customers are lucky you answered the call.
I was thinking the same; intense and concentrating at the task at hand. (What you call a professional)
i noticed that too.
The end says it all.
When you got the hammer down hauling at 30+ across the sand with a truck and trailer in tow, that’s what I would call serious.
Seemed like he was more focused. Maybe because his son was driving the customer's trust
I have to give Matt a lot of respect due to his job . I think the RUclips platform made him very generous on towing some cars , for someone to do a favor pull is one of the most selfless things a human can do and for that I give Matt’s off-road recovery a round of applause.
Absolutely agree man, those moments when you get a hand when your in that situation means a lot to people!
so you would not stop to pull someone out?
So he doesn’t charge for this type of stuff?
@@GodsFormula after 4:55 he said "nothing" to helping the second guys
@@GodsFormula he charges for plenty of tows but if they are already there and it only takes 15-20 minutes he’s pretty generous. It also goes a long way with his reputation for the bigger jobs and word of mouth.
I just never get tired of seeing Ed in the video’s. That man is a legend!
A "legend"? How so?
Is Ed the dad of someone on the channel? I see other channels with him on too.
I don’t get why he’s a big deal
@@notsofast5495i think he’s Matt’s father, he’s early so there’s not much a matt can have him do aside from hold the camera. he’s an awesome guy tho of that isn’t obvious enough
Matt is awesome helping people out of generosity. Most people might not do that. You know if they are ever really in trouble they will call Matt first.
0:36 perfect reenactment of Lizzy LOL
the old boy’s face when matt hit the power at the end there.. PRICELESS.. FANTASTIC CONTENT GUYS..
That’s Ed, hell of a guy
@@shane_7even_ten569 Yup👍🚙
I love the face Matt makes when doing a pull, looks so nervous and Ed’s just loving it
Concentration face!
Baby Huey
For the wreckers name
Ed's lil kid smirk when you put the hammer down out of the sand made my day, those lil smiles are why we off-road. PS you should always charge to tow anyone who puts those potato wheels on a truck, they'll never learn from their mistakes if there aren't consequences 🤣
Well said 👏 I agree Ed made my day as well as how humble Matt is all the time.
I do believe Matt has other reasons for not charging for the tows when the cars are offroading.
If they have the dough to buy those rediculous wheels and tires, then they must have $ to pay for a recovery.
@@wirebrush nah, they wasted it all on those custom 'mods' and then spent the rest filling the tank...
@@myconight yeah, I gonna say he didn’t charge the second pickup because they didn’t call him, the first guys did make the call so they paid.
The couple in the Toyota, though, that was just pure niceness.
I know this super-successful channel makes them a great pile of money, so he can afford to be nice a lot whenever he feels like it. ☺️👍🏼
The fact that you don't charge to help people out is soo refreshing to see, especially in today's world! Keep up the amazing work! Much love from Canada.
Making enough on the youtube!
That's because he make tons of money of RUclips.
He was like that even when he wasn’t making tons of money. Just good people. That being said dude has a $70k rig stuck asking how much it cost…
i wish people would stop guessing how much they have an less you know how much they have. its just drama, Matt and Jaymie and family seem like nice people on line.
@@kristinapriest2545 My thoughts exactly, Thank you.
Great to have Ed back on duty and giving us the weather. Have missed seeing him lately.
I just love watching folks that enjoy their work......and they do it for free!
"How much ya gunna charge?"
Matt: Nothin!
Thats why I subscribe and love these guys. Honest and Giving. Good people.
I agree. They are making more money on the YT content than the tow and Matt seems happy to pay it forward when he can.
Imagine what that bit of kindness meant to the perspective of the people he helps out.
Maybe the next time they get stuck it won’t be a freebie. Free advertisement
I mean technically the other guy paid for it lol
@@michaelt.9372 And it's technically a subtle shade to them for being late... ;)
Pretty cool how much you guys spread the wealth as you grow, giving out free tows and such like you do, we need more people like you guys in the world!❤️
Absolutely
well, when you cant fix stupid, best to help it when you can.
You would be surprised at how many DAMN GOOD PEOPLE there are....I have had people who had very little give me their time and what they could spare just to help out
*I ALWAYS PAY FORWARD WHAT CAN'T BE PAID BACK.*
Ever since I got screwed by an off-road tow company in 1994 I’ve towed people out for free at the same place. I enjoy doing it and I don’t even have a RUclips channel with 1.1 million subscribers.
My family and I were in the silver suburban by the edge of the water. We really enjoyed watching you do your thing in person and we always love watching your videos!
"How much ya gonna charge"... Matt's answer is awesome. Nothin' we're here. Great job guys! Thanks for being THAT guy.
The kid did a great job on the two pulls. Congratulations he is walking in Rudy's footsteps.
I like him better than Rudy. He has a calm demeanor that makes him cool.
Yeah, but the contrast between the rookie and Lizzie really brings home the fact that the driver in the towed vehicle is no kind of passenger. He’ll learn, for sure.
It was great to see you guys helping people out and giving them T shirts at no cost. You have a good heart Matt.
@@sheepwolf1st it was pure generosity! Something that is rare these days.
@@craigluhr7243 generosity or free advertising? Probably both
@@Robdutton91 plus the RUclips revenue helps...
@@stubstoo6331 I wish I knew how to figure out how many subs when I sub'd. It's been a long time, wouldn't surprise me if it was in the same range as you, but I sure don't remember.
Miles, I thought the very same thing. We aren't charging today!!! Totally floored the couple!
You guys are too kind! I hope these people getting pulled out for free at the very least tip you.
The end is this video was raw and shows the real work these guys put in. Need more of that.
I'm surprised that a truck with full on street tires and zero sidewall managed to break a driveshaft on sand without jumping it. I wouldn't have expected that to be possible.
What if he had revs on and banged the shifter D to R to D again and again?
Stock one broke had a company make me one and they didn’t weld it right
Loved that PoS duramax with the stretched tires what the hell was he thinking taking that pavement princess down in the sand?
Anyone who puts wheels like that on a vehicle clearly isn’t thinking right to begin with.
@@rowdyrobbyrider4226 my thoughts exactly!
I am amazed the tires are even rated for a vehicle of that weight. It must drive like a PoS.
@@Pesmog they aren’t at all those guys stretch those tires and mount them in there driveway you can’t even balance them. No shop in there right mind would ever do those type of tires they are dangerous and down right stupid!
I love the people you have on your crew. Matt, you're an incredible leader of your business, your team, and rescues. There seems to be a really mutually respectful environment over there.
Great to see Ed out on the team again. It’s always encouraging to see his vitality and joy he gets out of life.
Go down to Sand Hollow every year, and every year there are tons of people stuck who don't know much about that sand!! Hoping one day I run into Matt pulling people out!!
Easy, just bolt on some 26" wheels and low profile mud tires. Pump em up to no less than 65psi and you'll get to meet him!
@@NeoMK I'm not sure Cameron thought about being the one getting pulled out... 😁
As long as it's not me!
Grew up on Lake Erie shore in Ohio played in sand a lot it will get ya. Always tried to help . and I've been pulled more than once . You Rock!
O
The look on Matt's face when he's working, is alone worth the price of admission.
It’s more than just pushing down the gas pedal that’s got a lot of things you’ve got to keep track of
@@chrishallstrom2518 Ain't it the truth. Ever notice, when you watch an experienced pro doing their thing it looks so easy?
Love watching these videos for the genuine good nature of a wonderfully respectful person Matt is. Not only does he see someone stuck after doing a job. But just cause he already there he helps with no charge. You can tell Matt loves what he does for a living and actually cares for all his employees. Paused the video while typing he didn't charge the matching shirt couple.
It's a great team and they make very watchable videos! If I were Matt, at every freebie rescue I'd suggest making a voluntary donation to one of the good causes that MORR supported at the time.
Man, the Banana and the Morrvair sure do work hard to earn their keep, and we only see part of what they're doing. With the cost of gasoline these days it's pretty generous of Matt to be doing jobs "gratis".
I always point and laugh at people that have that offset of wheels and little rubber band tires on their trucks!
Cool story.
@@nikkimcdonald4562 Yeah it is a cool story!
That red truck probably threw its driveshaft out of embarrassment for the wheel and tire combo that was put on it.
The inside footage at the end was really cool to see !! MUCH WOW
You guys Rock! Humble and great people...Love that you guys are always happy no matter what!!
I'll say it again, I love seeing people's reaction to a free tow, and I hope we see more :D
Thanks for the tow matts recovery
Matt, you have a heart the size of the world. So appreciate people like you!
What a fricken guy for going out there for free. Man, if I was that couple with the matching shirts that would have made my day! Keep up the great work!
Nice recoveries!! Love to watch you guys doing your thing!! I haven't really been to much of Utah but I've been through it on I-80 and I-15. Always enjoyed looking at all the scenery!! There's a lot more places to get off road and have fun than I thought there would be. Thanks for letting us see so much of it!!
That "how much do you charge?" "nothing, we're already here" really answered the question I have wondered but never asked when I see you guys pull multiple people out like that on the same run at Sand Holow. That is quite a great way to do it, it's no real skin off your knob to do it, and even gets word of mouth out there too about respectable companies. What I also always wonder is why none of the other more capable 4x4's you see out there are helping these people too.
Gotta have the knowledge and gear to do it. You see too many ripped out frontends and axles and whatnot, because of people having no clue where to hook up. And it's not like everyone is carrying a kinetic rope in their trunk either. Before you know it you got two stuck vehicles
@@GhostOfAnubis09 Guess so... I always had the gear and the knowledge so helped whenever I could back when I off-roaded. Still carry a kinetic rope to this day, even though I drive a crappy Citroen Cactus.
Plenty of people do. I've pulled at least 1 person out every time I go out there.
Gotta think that in the good ol USofA liability plays a huge part. And if it doesn’t enter your head offering to be a good samaritan you gotta be all kinds of crazy.
@@DiscoFang I'd be tempted to say "you guys can drive my truck, pull yourself out". Not my liability now.
Nice to see Ed along can't wait until you all give him the golden nugget and bike. Thanks to everyone who has helped him. You're still my favorite videos. Stay safe
A big reason I love watching your channel are all the characters involved and the light clean humor.

Good stuff Matt and crew! I never seem to get tired of watching all of you work. Always amazed! Keep up the good work everyone and be safe. Thank you all for sharing. Jim
Matt your show should be on TV. No joke. 1000 times more interesting than anything else on TV.
Hahahaha, max air pressure in one, ridiculous stretched low profile tyres on the other.

Whoever is in charge of editing is doing a really top notch job. The last few videos have been really well done. Great sense of humor that gets a lot of really funny subtle things. Also just the right amount of running jokes.
Nice recoveries, those people couldn't believe a freebie so well done there and the look on Ed's face with the serious truck pull, priceless.
Few things here -
1 - if this was Australia, there'd be a ton of bogans willing to try and pull you out.
2 - Both vehicles look to have FAR too much air in their tyres. That jeep with 35/37s would need to drop down to 12-15psi to get a decent footprint.
3 - looks like easy money in the US doing recoveries, love your videos Matt.
Matt has said it before, he pulls a small fraction of people out. The rest are helped by good samaritans.
Definitely too much air in most people’s tires for driving on sand.
Ed amazes me! I hope I am looking and functioning anywhere near as good as him when I am an octogenarian!
"you're ok this way". I love Ed
You know I'm just a spectator here but I am truly grateful for your generosity the way you just tell people hey it's on me nothing you don't owe me nothing it's truly humbling thank you so much
