Great vlog, first time watching for me - I'll be back. What a discovery to find RTTH podcast and now this, great content and wow, vlog is super professional with the editing etc! nice! Congrats for getting through on the 100 ballot :) Look forward to seeing how your training goes and I'll be keeping an eye out for some Lakes run route inspiration!
Hey Catherine, thanks for the kind comment! Feel so lucky getting through the ballot! Yeah, hopefully get to the Lakes soon. I love living on the coast, but the mountains are 😍😍
Great video Gary. I'm a long-time listener to the podcast and really enjoyed seeing the sea views on your run having previously heard you talk about them to Eddie. I'll be towing the line with you at Lakeland 2023 so I'm looking forward to seeing how your training progresses over the year.

Cheers Adam, salter body fat monitor. They don’t make this model anymore… I’d prob go for Garmin if I ever upgrade then all the info will go straight to Garmin connect.
Nice one Gary and great to hear you've got a spot for next year. Luckily ive got my debut place on the 50 next year so i was thinking if i follow your plan but half everything then i will be good to go😂
I take it you got a place in the ballot Gary? I've been refreshing all evening and then got told an hour or so that I've got a place in my first Lakeland 50! So excited for it. So, following on from my comments on last week's video- that's TdeH and now Lakeland we're both down for. I'm not following you, honestly! 😂
brilliant gary!! I did hold my breath while that drone was out to sea though ;) find it really inspiring to see your commitment to training and how you keep showing up. Also think you should share your footage with the north east tourist board... absolutely amazing photography look forward to week 3!
Hey Gary....great week of training. Curious how far you run with your pup..and how old is he? I run with two dogs 3-4 years old on various surfaces and sometimes worry on the long runs (I go slow) if it's too much. The one dog is a border collie (type) and she has done 30km in the past. My other is a small black lab and he just easily did 22km on the weekend. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Great video!
Rex is about 5, but he’s a rescue dog so it’s an educated guess. He’s a collie cross and will run all day long 😀 but most of his runs are under 10km. Once the weather cools we’ll go longer over the weekend. Maybe 30km. I’m okay walking with him if I think he needs a little break.

Great I’m addicted. Found it interesting how your week is split up.
Thanks again Andrea 👍🏻 yeah, I need an easy day between hard runs. Nice to get the 1st week done.

Sounds great! I remember going to Lynton & Lynmouth years ago before I ran. Some awesome trails down south 👌🏻
Weird seeing the places I run from my front door!
Haha! Yeah, good to show off our local trails.
Another brilliant video Gary ! Thank you.
Thanks Adam! I was worried it was too long 😬
@@teaandtrails no it was fantastic ! Also, what body scales are those you’re using ?
