I've got the Inov8 new Ultrapac 2 in 1 vest, it has the same funky breathable fabric and I'm so much more comfortable/cooler on my runs now. The fabric was the main intetest for me. It also feels nice and light weight-wise.
Great review Gary and love the podcast. I have been using a Salomon for a few years and love it. Looks very similar to the Inov8. Keep up the great work. 😎
Hi Gary, i got the tube out of the flask by running the flat of a wine bottle opener around the inside of the lid. this loosened thecap enough to pop off. Works a treat now. thanks for the recommendation 👍🏻
Great review....love all the detail. I have to say the little bungee thingees to hold the water bottle nozzles in place is a bonus. My current and only ever hydration vest is Ultimate Direction and I like it but the bottles do drop and I'd prefer the option to put my trekking poles at the back like you did in the vid!
Did you try putting the lids in boiling water before removing the tubes Gary? That’s how I removed the tubes on my Salomon bottles so I could trim them. It softens them and they pull off quite easily.
The old version of the 2 in 1 was too sweaty for me, even when in the lower capacity. Bought a Montane next. Still sweat but its a more comfortable experience when wet! Sounds like inov 8 have improved it now.
Brilliant review Gary!! Did my first recce for UTS100k and thinking I may need to carry more than 1litre of water over some sections so was wondering what to do about that and this looks like could be a good solution. Also like the look of those rear pole loops... do they sit below whatever you stash in that rear mesh pocket?
Nice one! I only went for 2ltr because of the distance between checkpoints. UTS might be ok. I would practice it Angela. If it was racing then the bottle faff might have annoyed me 😀 Yeah, poles below rear mesh pocket 👍🏻 Maybe pop into Stavely next time you’re passing.
thanks @@teaandtrails . it would only be if it was a super hot year like last year. I'm a bit scared to go in that inov8 store... might spend all my money ;)
Nice vest but the side pockets are a bit shallow compared to the Adv Skin 12 and the rear of the 360 is a little tight so difficult to shove a jacket back in there when fully loaded

Great to hear! Yeah, the fabric is awesome. I really like the look of the 2 in 1 vest.
7 valleys first ultra using the inov-8 ultra pack pro - great to hear you can get loads of gear in it👍
Should be fine for that Tom. I'll be using it again for the L100 👍

Cheers Buddy, yeah, most of my mates have Salomon packs. They all look great. Feels like I’m the only person not running in a Salomon vest 😀

Thanks for the tip! Someone said to put them in hot water too. Glad you like the vest 👍

Thanks Steve, Yeah, those bungees are great. My old vest didn't have them so it's been awesome!
Thanks Gary, I’ve been pondering getting this vest and I think you’ve now made my mind up.
Thanks again matey 😊
Nice one! I'm really impressed with it.
You can now claim you are an influencer, I’ve just bought it 😂😂😂😂

Good shout! No, I’ve not tried that. Thanks 👍🏻

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I can't fault it. Not used the 2 in 1 though for comparison.

Thanks for the comparison. Not tried the Salomon 👍🏻
