The automatic in the n54 cars are pretty solid and reliable. Through the xhp transmission tuning software in bumped the factory torque rating which i think its like 400tq or 500tq up to 700tq. Horsepower doesnt hurt the transmission its the torque. With stock turbos and xhp your transmission shouldnt blow up. If it does its like a 90% chance it was poorly Maintained. I did want a manual 6 speed. They're geared perfect like the 7 speed DCT
Nah man XHP or not they will fail even with the necessary maintenance being kept up anything more than stock power will cause a cluster of issues. I’ve had so many friends of mine go through so much with these trans I’ve even had a friend who’s a bmw specialist swap 3 6hp21 transmissions himself before ultimately swapping with manual.

What your saying has some truth to it but that not all correct u can either get a manual or a 335 d trans witch can handle way more tq
Well not everyone wants the 335d and they want the n54 or n55 so I’m talking to them
The key is a manual or an 8HP swap
