I have the Green inserts & the Blue the softer Greens climb steeper solid rock better for sure I think I’ll try Green in the front because of the overdrive & Green in the back for side hilling.
I haven't tried the blue, but the green inserts are doing well enough, that I don't feel the need to swap. Obviously, this comes down to personal preference!
Im running brass beadlocks theyre quite heavy and i had greens all around, i noticed they had pretty bad crumple while full crank on descent so im trying now the blues in front and green in rear. Im running proline hyrax tires. Upon taking out the front greens i had in ther i noticed two the center ribs had alredy ripped (i ran the truck twice) i assumed they were maybe too soft. my truck weighs 7lbs 8oz
Interesting. This is good info! I have a set of the brass inner rings, but they seem so heavy, I didn't install them yet, because I feel like it would be a lot of strain on all the steering components when going at trail speeds. Thank you for sharing your experience with them!
Inserts are where its at. Made my ascent perform.
I agree!
What inserts do you have? I’m debating between the green and blue
@@paulinovelasquez1907 Green is the way to go.
Ill second the greens and I also added the brass inner rings 🤌
They have them for minis now too. 👍
I saw that! I will have to give them a try!
Those wheels are sick!!
I love them!
I've got to get some of these!
I love them! I'll definitely be getting them for other trucks, too!
What’s the dewalt tool you’re using?
I believe you are talking about the Dewalt Gyroscopic Cordless Screwdriver: amzn.to/4alp7Fx
Got them for my brushed ascent and they work well I run my gen 8 iroc tires
They are pretty hard to beat at their pricepoint!

Did you install the small or large green inserts?
The 1.9 version. They make a smaller one for 1/24 and 1/18 scale, and that is not the one to buy.
Great video. But I'd say hard pass on those inserts. Don't know if you've seen ExocagedRC inserts. Absolutely game changers.
I have, which is why I mentioned 3D printed inserts at the end of the video. I would like to dabble with his, and maybe print my own, too.
@@turtlelaboratories I think you should
Where did you purchase your INJORA Turbine 1.9" Beadlock Wheels because I can not find the silver/chrome set you have ???
You can get them here: amzn.to/3VKopeY They are the "grey" variant.
Those are gray but yours are a silver/chrome ? @turtlelaboratories
@@RickyD1968 They do look silvery in person. I definitely ordered the "grey" ones, though.
@@turtlelaboratories OK Thank you I will buy them !!!
The inserts and wheels are better then the whole truck
They definitely compliment this awesome truck very well!
