It is like front wheel drive pulling the rear drive around which is working against the front and hindering forward drive (it is like dragging an anchor around)..

I can understand your frustration, Frank. It is disheartening when that happens. But Ken is also correct. It happens with all products. We roll the dice. Sometimes we win, sometimes we don't. And for companies, it's a balance game. Bring out a product and hit a lower price point so more folks can enter the hobby at least. And when you are a beginner, it can be hard to just jump right into going full mod-o-rama without having enough time and experience to go with it. But it's also smart business to come out with 'advanced' versions of models. Give those with a bit more budget to step up right away and jump a section of the learning curve, regarding working on knowledge. Also gives those that are experienced an option to buy something that will be closer to their level of abilities, but they don't want yet another project to spend their finite hours in the day on. This is where Axial and other 1/24th scale companies F'd up. SCX24 scale rigs are all for the most part, not very capable and need quite a few mod's and dollars thrown at them. Not good for a total new guy. They should have actually done light Redcat has done and came out with an 'Advanced' RTR so there was a choice. I'm not really super into the wrenching side of the hobby, so an already reasonably capable RTR is going to appeal to people like me that see the value in paying a bit more for a rig that is actually ready to keep up with friends right out of the box. I will agree, however, with you that disappointing customers by coming out with a 'better' version only a hand full of months later is dangerous for the reasons you expressed. IMO, better to introduce both at the same time and give a broader customer base a choice that suits their budget or wants. BUT often the accounting dept or greedy CEO's call the shots. They want to launch as soon as a product is ready (or not ready as we've seen so many times with RC stuff!) So the 'basic' Accent was likely ready to go and got the shove. And I see that logic as well. They got bills to pay and aren't multi-billion dollar companies, so things can be tight. Best advice would be either build up you're rig and enjoy it as a unique to you build to be proud of. Or sell it to fund a new Fusion or something else. But don't stress yourself about it. Not worth the negative health points! ;) Best wishes! Bert the Weldor

Not worth the negative health points! ;)
Best wishes!

@@wingnutbert9685 great opinion sir!
Looks cool, but nit a fan of carbon fiber frames. Like that c channel or machined aluminum. Carbon reminds me of drones or aircraft. Just saying...
Fair enough! But I will say, the frame is very ridged. Carbon fiber is super light and very strong. You also see carbon fiber in high end sports cars. ;)
