You know someone has been building shocks for a good while when they release the air with the good old fashion finger flick trick.

Thank you for the quick and concise vid. I just took delivery of my ascent and plan on doing some mods before it hits the dirt

Just the right amount of knowledge for my tiny brain to process. Thanks, subbed.

I had the impression these where just springs, no oil. Now I’m fascinated. Because I just got an ascent fusion and the shocks I feel could use a heavier oil. I want 70wt, that way I don’t have to really mess with spring rates.

Great thanks! I was hesitating at removing the internal spring on the front shock (did on the back) but now I'm convinced.

Just going with the Losi medium spring (brown) instead of the (pink) soft one for a bit more Humpf in front :)

I know u have the servo mount, I will be getting one of those from you. Would you be so kind as to provide a video or details on the parts needed and how to do the 4 link setup?

Yessir! Working on one of those this weekend. Planning on a 4 link kit with all the necessary parts but it'll be a bit so the video will lay out the needed steps. Thanks!

The Rino motor you have installed does that have a built in esc like the Hobbywing 2n1?

    I think this will be a good fix 90 X10mm medium for front & 110 x 10mm for rear.

I want to do your SOA on my Ascent but the motor is in the way of the right side upper link so what did you do to 4 link yours?

Help, first I did this mod, but put the piston before the washer. Does that effect it at all, or is it just the same. It took a really long time to do this so i dont want to take it apart unless i have to

Stock length works with a 15• bend works on. 2mm shorter than that ideal

I am very interested in switching over to a 4 link on my ascent. I have the carbon chassis and have spent a lot of money on shocks and shock mounts. I think it could finally fix the no flex situation on the front. Are you selling a kit? I am your first customer if so, lol.

I was watching the 2fmrc run video he is just running some bands up front and it seems to do the trick.

      Bands up front.

  • @polishguywithhardtospellna8227

It's actually pretty piss poor by Redcat, not to include cone shaped internal springs, with correct rate in those shocks, since they wanted a true, factory setup and not a bloody yt bodge.
