  • In this video we take out the Heim joints and install the Barnes4wd Enduro joints in our three link suspension. This gives a much better ride for what I am doing with the S10 and still gives the flex in the joints I need.
    I am also installing a new hydro assist ram from West Texas Offroad, the redneck ram. We also fab up bracket mounts, fix a trac bar and use the laser to set up the front and rear axles inside the frame making sure they are square so the truck tracks straight down the road.

    Good info! Awesome to hear about the Enduro joints! How are you liking the s10 so far? Do you miss the TJ yet?

      Thanks, I don’t really miss the Tj that much… this will do everything the Tj would do, just have to worry about body damage. Obviously some trails the jeep is better because of size and I didn’t care if I smashed it up on a tree or rock, lol. But overall the s10 is better.

    Hello, what is the ratio of the differentials you currently have on the axles? I am looking for a large ratio with the differential on the driver's side as close to 4.88 as possible. Which one can you recommend? Greetings from Chile.

      Really depends on how large of tires and what axle you have. My truck is 5.38 gears

    Technically a bolt being slightly too small for a hole shouldn't matter in a shear joint because what's holding things together is the friction created between surfaces from torquing the bolt. But I prob would've done the same anyways haha

    Everything I read stated the saginaw boxes have a pressure relief, so when the box reaches its "stop", it stops sending pressure to the ram also. I tried not to chance it and set my steering stops to the box then set my ram to end at the stops so all 3 stop at once in theory haha. Who really knows but it works

      Interesting.. I will have to do more research. Makes sense. But I don’t want to risk it.

    Can you just put weld washers on the track bar bracket to fix the slightly oversized hole? On my trucks 5- 6deg if caster has worked good for driving straight and no funny tire wear, the 7-8 you are running seems a bit much.

    • @MuddyBeards4X4
      @MuddyBeards4X4  Год назад

      Yup, weld washer is how I am going to fix it. I will be setting it at 6deg and tightening the gear box that has a dead spot and then going from there.

      s10 bulds are awsome. the s10 didnt get any fame out of the gate because of crap front suspension and that 2.8 motor. even though well at least in my opinion the square body s10 has always been the best looking truck body

    When I build my long arm Jeep suspension I did nearly all heims. I need to go back and change it all out to enduro joints as well. The heims are barely over a year old and they make a lot of noise. They are ruff stuff heims.
