So much respect to you guys!!! 💙 I got so nervous just by listening to your story.
Lingzhen Kong same here!
He was breathing so hard. Crazy.
Lingzhen Kong Iii
Lingzhen Kong exactly. that's why I hate those people that keep calling all cops racist!

So when you retire will you become officer 401k?
I just noticed that soon he will have 401k subs
Lmao
Lol
Rhet Newto- Now that's some Fantastic, Funny stuff! Thanks!!
That's pretty good lol
The scariest part is silence when you expect something there but it’s just silence
Jehsh Adams exactly because it lets your mind ramp it up and create the most uniquely terrifying thing to you
Jehsh Adams no it's when you think nothing going to happen and then boom
Lord mun both fuckin terrifying but yeah that might be a little scarier
That's why we all hate jump scares
Personally, I think they scariest thing is the moment between hearing an unknown RPG and waiting for it to hit something.
I feel like kids suffer the most when the adults act crazy
They do unfortunately
It’s people like you that let us live peacefully
OMG thx for a heart
The crazy thing is that people don't respect these guys. It just blows my mind. Their lives are on the line everyday and people still disrespect them.
@@goobygoober_69 can’t blame the people man. When you have shit heads running around harassing people it happens.
1 year ago, this is the video that convinced me to begin my dream of becoming a police officer.
Next month, starting the academy.
how is the academy going bro?
Yea we want to know
Yea
How is it?
youre a loser!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Everyone who dislikes these videos must have been arrested by the legend himself, Officer401 😏
Mother Russia I would be honored to be arrested by Officer 401. Just for bragging rights! I'm not going to do dumb 💩 to get arrested but it would be a hell of a story!
Or they've met his car door

My lip was quivering as i read that last word

so you're scared of paperworks but not a mass murderer trying to kill you? ok ;)
@@pp_ni_krissy_692 you ever hear of a joke my guy? Like you know. Things people say for some laughs. Or since this whole covid thing happened, is fun illegal now?
Dear lord. Civilians have no idea. They wonder why you guys become numb after years on the force. They wonder why sometimes you're in a bad mood when you show up to a pointless call after leaving something like this.
@@drowningin Her comment has nothing to do with feelings. And you shouldn't assume what someone's life is like. Just saying.

@հokцƽ ρokus you don't think cops are civilians? What makes them not civilians?
@@3rd-eye-neenja563 for somebody that fights justice you really haven’t fought any justice.
Cops are civilians too
Wow that story is Crazy so much respect for officers who can stay so cool
RebelOnAMission Much respect to every officer tbh. It takes a lot of guts and character to be a police officer. Especially in our society today when they're so hated for absolutely no logical reason.
Thank you, I'm going to be a police officer and we want people like you that think like that, thank you!
Took you 1 hour to watch the video ? jesus
Alejandro Ramirez I wanna be a police officer too. I still got ways to go though. I wanna be a State Trooper, hbu?
Erika Nance I want to be a LAPD, I'm 14 years old and I'm about to enter police academy.

I have pulled dead,
mangled bodies from cars. I have lied to people as they were dying. I said you are going to be fine as I held their hand and watched the life fade out. I have held dying babies. Bought lunch for people who were mentally ill and haven't eaten in a while. I have had people try to stab me. Fought with men trying to shoot me. Ben attacked by women who have had the shit kicked out of them by their husband as I was arresting him. I have held towels on bullet wounds. Done CPR when I knew it wouldn't help just to make family members feel better. I have torn down doors, fought in drug houses. Chased fugitives though the woods. I have been in high speed car chases. Foot chases across an interstate during rush hour traffic. I have been in crashes. Been squeezing the trigger about to kill a man when they came to their senses and stopped. Waded through large angry crowds by myself. Drove like a mad man to help a fellow officer. Let little kids who don't have much sit in my patrol car and pretend they are a cop for their birthday. I have taken a lot of people to jail. Given many breaks. Prayed for people I don't even know. Yes and at times I have been violent when I had to be. I have been kind when I could. I admit I have drove to some dark place and cried by myself when I was overwhelmed. I have missed Christmas and other holidays more than I wanted too. Every cop I know has done all these things and more for lousy pay, suckie hours and a short life expectancy. We don't want your pity, I don't care for your respect. Just let us do our jobs without killing us.
Amen to that sir !
Not to be "That Guy", but i've seen this before.
Unoriginal Name yea
john folsom Officer Folsom, you have my respect and admiration whether you want it or not.

This is why as civilians we need to support cops and make sure that individual officers can afford body armor even if their departments don't provide it to them.
thefilmguy cops are civilians too
Government = the shepherd. Does the financial stuff like building the fence to get the wolf out.
Sheep = ths ordinary citizens
Sheep dog = the citizens who put on the badge, sperating them from the normal civilians, and are the true protecters of the flock.
Wolf = self explanatory.
Yes.
Yes that's a really good idea. I'm not going to lie, I do wear a vest that is "expired". Nothing I can do about it for now. Just keep moving forward and hope for the vest
Which most are justifiable...
That smell is something that once you smell it, you will ALWAYS remember it. Always. I remember the first time I really recognized it for what it was, and it was the first suicide call I'd ever been to as an EMT. Blood and gunpowder. Awful. To this day, my response to either is visceral. Be grateful if you have never experienced it.
Treadingjello
And even worse stench when the body starts to decay. I can never forget.
Drama queens like you two should just stay as a walmart door greeter.
I've smelled so much blood with alcohol in it that normal blood smell nauseates me.
@@darksnow1111 You probably would throw up and cry if you had to go to a gun suicide call. Blood everywhere, pieces of skull and brain matter, the stench of death, etc.
@@darksnow1111 like you could handle it,its one of the worst thing I have ever sent or smelled
My thoughts go out for this little girl. I couldn't imagine experencing that at such a young age.
Couldn't imagine that happening to me at any age.
Gabriel Ordones she was literally shot in the HEAD BY HER DAD. How is that not as important as the cops being there ?? You sound crazy
I can relate to you around the same type of scenario. I was 21 years old and I was a medic we were called to police shooting call. Typically somebody was shot either a suspect or an officer. We were told not to run code. So pretty much somebody was dead. When we arrived on scene there was blankets and barriers in place. Not the first time but it was my last. More or less it was a murder suicide. The woman 38 the 3 children 8 months 2 years and 4 years. The male 41. He had shot each victim execution style other than the baby he shot her in the face with a 12 gauge shotgun. That was the worst thing I had ever seen in my life. I did my job and when we were cleared I removed my uniform and walked home from the scene. When I got home I grabbed my kids and held them with me and I cried. I just couldn't wrap my head around what it would take for a person to do something like that.
Ken Mitchell I want to say something to make you feel better. Any ideas? Lol bc I can't think of anything to make THAT better, but I wish like hell I could.
I'm sorry seems hollow, but I am sorry that you had to see that.
Sorry that exists in this world. Damn.
There's some very hate filled people in this world that could care less what happened to you me or anyone else for that matter the best I can do is try to help other people who suffer with tragedy thank you for understanding that this world is not always a nice place I just ask that you all hold on to humanity and always love your children. If you feel that you can't do so then please please please reach out to someone else or an agency that can help you still to this day I have nightmares about that day I have talked to others about things like this for one reason to help them to cope with whatever their issue may be
sad part about reaching out for help is that you seem as a weak person.
Nobody should have to see something like that.
Worst shit always hits at shift change. Their are no true atheist in the Patrol division. Stay safe out their 401. Cover 6.
we can never tell cops enough how much their service is appreciated.
Ive got goose bumps
Michael Briggs, I hope 401 has a coping mechanism. Some shit you just can’t unsee.
truthseeker very true.
SO A bloody treble experiance
Michael Briggs As a retired LEO, It's a hell of a feeling. Just hearing him talk about it brings me back to some terrible scenes & experiences.
God Bless the men & woman that work in Law Enforcement & the other first responders.
Poor baby. She may have recovered physically but mentally she needs a life time of help.
Thanks for sharing. My ex-fiance was a police officer before he got promoted to detective in a small town here in Texas.
I used to do ride-alongs with him and a couple of the other officers all the time. This was many years ago in the early 80s. I was the captain of the Explorer post and we actually had an office cubicle back in the back by the police officers. One night I was in there late and there were a couple of the officers in the back and they got a DV call. They asked if I wanted to go and I did so I hopped in with my fiance. On the way there everybody was on the private Channel talking about how they knew this couple and how they were always fighting and everything and basically they were relaxed. However when we got there, as I was walking up to the door behind them. This one officer came out of the door and yelled for me to go back to the car. So I obviously went. As soon as I turn to go back to the car he began throwing up. Found out that this normal every week DV call that they received wasn't so normal this time. The guy had literally blew his wife's head off. I won't go into the gory details of the photos that I saw but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. That was just before I started Police Academy back in 1984. And I never ever forgot that. I don't think I ever will.
Abusers often kill their victims while pregnant or if they try to leave. Never assume just because he regularly commits DV that it won’t end in bloodshed. Damn, I feel so bad for these women and even more so for the innocent children.
Poor little kid :( I really hope she gets a better future :'(
Sir, I listened to this with tears welling up in my eyes. I am terribly sad to hear that you had to go through such a horrifying situation like that. It seems there is no limit to how corrupt the human heart can be. Thank you for helping keep this world a safer place. Stay safe out there...and keep your good heart.
I'm usually pretty jaded, but I'll be the first to admit this one kind of got to me.
I want more stories like this!
The world doesn't need more stories like this
go join law enforcement then
Tom Le no I don't like brutal evil such as this should ever be on RUclips. Some dumbass getting a car door to the face, hell yeah. A shooter getting run down like a dog, Fing awesome. A innocent child's horrible trama. No never and quiet honestly kinda disappointed in officer 401 for thinking this was ok to share. Please take the video down.
Adam, I think this is officer 401 being transparent about what it's like to be a cop. Some days are paperwork and speeding tickets. Other days you have to deal with people that have done things to each other that you couldn't imagine.
Jack Miller we all know life is crappy. But not even criminals "with a few exceptions that work themselves out" up kids. Just not necessary in being transparent. Just leave the innocent 4 year old out of it.
This video right here needs to be played to all academy classes. They need a down to eartrh on the job guy like you who can give insight to what theyre going to have to expect to encounter.
Chrislos
They do! It's part of the training, in Texas anyway, but most academies have extensive training on all aspects of policing.
I'll pray for you and for the little girl ,it's so horrible what she went through .. with that said I don't have words nor an Idea what you witnessed/experienced that day but I'll pray for you
Stay strong Sir

Little girl shot through the head and makes a full recovery, is healthy enough to run to a neighbors house.... proof of god imo...
Man, I respect cops so much for having to deal with that stuff instead of me.
Stories like this can make you second guess about becoming an officer or any first responder, but it also shows us that we need people who can overcome this. Praise to all who work in these types of fields. Scary and rewarding at the same time.
It does seem like it would deter people, but I really love this line of work,I know that I either help people, help the community or I can console the people who suffer losses. It just eats away at me every time somebody I respond to dies, its like why wasn't I faster or how could I have stopped this.
Former military, former EMT. Your remark about smelling the iron in the blood struck a nerve. I don't know whether my last memory of a smell will be that or the smell of a human body in the early stages of decomposition.
For me it will probably be the smell of the decomposing body. Blood part doesn't bother me much for some reason. Thank you for your service.
When my grandfather was in Vietnam they were surrounded by North Vietnamese at night and in their broken English the Vietnamese were chanting “G.I. you die tonight” my grandfather luckily made it out alive.

“My scariest experience as a officer was eating at McDonald’s with my buddies at 5:30am”
same.
WOW. Been retired coming on 7 years, watching this has bought a tear to my eye and frankly a few memories that should stay hidden away in the deep dark recesses of my mind, ones that appear only in nightmares (My two ex-wives both wondered why I shouted in my sleep) or when really drunk with mates I served with. John FOLSOM below nailed it. I was never concerned about my personal safety until after, too busy doing the job, it's when I got home, I'd sit in my car heartbroken until I could go in, say I had a good day to the misses and cuddle my my kids without anyone realising I was in a very dark and scary place, I just couldn't lay it on them. Here's the rub, I was a Police Officer in London (England) and I recognised the story, this could've be anywhere in the world, we are all brothers. Keep safe.
God protect you everywhere you go and I hope your mind finds peace through all those dark moments you’ve been through. Thank you for your service good sir.
Every day as a police officer is scary
True... As an officer, we learn to turn off the "scared" switch and turn on the "let's do it" button.
Waylon Donovan Of the fam and its a huge shame that people disrespect cops these days when they literally sacrifice their lives just to save ungratful people

Stay safe out there brotha! Thank you for the videos breakdowns and knowledge much love!
Damn, all of that for $35k-$40k a year
Kawshik K he’s got detective salary now.😏
Some cops make over $100k a year. Maybe more with overtime.
MattBaker I know the NYPD does, not sure about Georgia
Kawshik K my criminal justice professor was a sheriff in Schenectady NY. He made $180k a year with overtime. I live in upstate ny and even the small town guys make at least $55k/year.
Kawshik K It depends on the state and department. The city police for where I live requires a bachelors degree and pays more than the sheriff’s office which requires at least a high school diploma

I was in the Navy back in the mid 80s and we did a joint tour with the Coast Guard to stop and seize any drug runners, I was on the 50 cal (we were a small ship) when we noticed a flashy speed boat just haulin tail, we started to give chase but it was obvious that he could outrun us no prob.. now our blood was pumping already as we were told that we could expect gun fire at any moment.. and sure enough, he stopped running, turned and started to come at us, shooting his pistol... could have been a 9mm.. not sure, my Captain said "Oh he is NOT shooting that pea shooter at us... Gunner take him out!" now I KNOW what the Captain meant was to disable to boat, but my nerves were so on edge that within 5 shots I had done a head shot... to this day I can still "see" that moment his head disappeared in slow motion...
I was told by all sorts of people including my Captain that I was justified in taking his life, but it still (34 years later) bothers me.. when we pulled up to the boat and they fished his body out of the water he had SO MUCH Coke taped to his chest it was unreal... so I think I helped save a couple kids that day.. but it still haunts me, I still have nightmares of that moment.. waking up with heavy breathing and cold sweat, so I can totally understand where you are coming from.
Kazahmish if it still effects you that seriously you should consider getting psychiatric help like a therapist

Massive, huge respect to ALL law enforcement officers! I really don't know how you all do it but I am so very grateful that you do.
Appreciate the story man, love coming to the channel and seeing new stuff. Being in fire/Ems I can say I know the blood smell, and the other end of the spectrum, where they’ve been closed up in a Chevy blazer for a week.
austin kazmierski I have been there with you brother. I'm a former ems myself.
austin kazmierski - That's an assault on the senses that is indescribable. Something I'll never forget myself.
Just a question out of curiosity, this smell that you speak of, does it only occur when theirs large amounts of blood, or could you still smell it if you cut your self and was only bleeding a little from your body?
Non Stop the smell comes from larger than normal amounts. Makes you think “dang, there really that much in there”?! The iron smell is rough for sure just because of what it is, but the dead guy that’s been marinating for a week or two is worse in my opinion. It’s a smell that you can’t shake for sure!
Like Austin said, it takes what seems like a lot of it to get that smell. It takes more than a flesh wound too, it seems.
But.... when a bodies been marinating for a while you know it's going to be bad. Worse one I experienced was in a van. He had started to leak he was so bloated. When the MA moved him he popped. That smell covered the entire parking lot. This was also in Phx, AZ in the middle of the summer. I couldn't eat till the next day...
"daddy shot mommy" hit me so hard in the feels. 😔
