Awesome questions! Literally so many that I wish we had time for!
yes yummi. I've loved your vids man. And now you are a LEO? You are such an inspiration and I hope you have an amazing safe rest of your life man. Take care! *yummicrownvic*
I didn't knew they knew or Know they knew?
California police academies are tougher than most other states!!!! Hell yeaaahhhhh! Most academies here do cross fit shit now. I would say work on a lot of push ups, situps, burpies, and a lot of running! And learn some badass cadences so you can sound that shit off and feel motivated for some PAIN in my back!
I’d you have any college experience before becoming a cop? Or did you have any security background?
Congratulations enjoy the force
Nobody: Nothing
Officer 401: Hits phat rip out of nowhere
Brody Alldredge I read this just as he did it 😂
When does it happen tho
Jacob Adams 3:30
@@6z0 another one at 25:36
I was expecting a fart when I first read that
You’re a salty old veteran now 401.
No kidding! All these young bucks coming in. I remember being in their shoes. I was the rookie for 5 years. Now I'm getting old, salty, and want nothing but coffee and to be left alone haha.
@@officer401 and to take 30 minutes to shave.
officer401 you still good looking though 😘
@@thechick1876 Do you goofy young millenials or idiot zoomers know what old is? You're still good looking? Yeah, no shit, I would hope so, what's he in his 30's? Wtf.. and hopefully he still looks good in 30 yrs and beyond if he takes care of himself. Jesus. I hear ppl say.. wow, he/she looks great for 30. 30? Really? Durrr.
Symone Harvey lol bro relax they just messing around with officer 401 lmao
“Says the girl that doesn’t season his food” BURRRRNNNNN😱😂😂
"DONT MAKE FUN OF MY CHICKEN BITCH" that shit had me dying lmao
"It's organic!" 😂😂😂😂

I’m going to go ahead and guess it’s yummi r6
I knew it
Clicked so fast when the notification popped on my screen....Netflix can wait😂
Flix and chill can't tho 😉
He’s already acting like a cop wearing sunglasses on his head inside
Lots of people do that lmao
I was literally thinking the same thing
401 notification ding.
Papers fly in the air.
Mad scramble for the phone charger.
My dawg became a cop😂 ima miss ur motorcycle vids
I'm a 45 year old man about to start the academy. Thanks for creating and sharing. Good show guys!
Major props, man. Being 38 I know how hard it can be mentally and physically to change careers/start a new one, after working for nearly half your life already. Again, I seriously give you props for making this decision!
Thats so awesome man, i was scared i was getting too old at 25, super inspirational, good luck!
Make sure you are in shape! Good luck my dude
33 here. Contemplating doing it. I’m not happy with my current boring mundane job
Any update ?
I remember when yummi was complaining about cops running red lights and now he is a cop hahaha.
Congratulations, greetings from México ;)
Alejandro Fernandez lol Mexico as in “ Mexico “
I think everyone had an idea on who the rookie might be. So is it gonna be yummi crown vic now
Hey if you dont want the crown vic ....message me.
I wanna be a cop myself and you have greatly inspired me in my life and my future.
Maybe an interview with an FBI agent?
Pretty sure FBI agents have to stay confidential...
@Asserting Word Oh?
Jesus Arroyo what? That’s more cia, fbi doesn’t care if you know who they are because they can investigate you anyway, not to mention that even if that was true 401 could blur their face and change their voice as he’s done for other guests before
@@GameVilleofficialpage True.
YES YES YES! I either want to go into the military, become a cop, or go into the FBI. I think that would be a great opportunity for me to learn more about how the FBI works.
Around 11:18 I can confirm the treadmill thing. I was making good times on the treadmill at my gym, then was like 2.5 mins slower on the actual track. But for my academy, I'd say focus on running inclines (you can use the treadmill for that purpose) to make your legs basically immune to pain, and to shed weight quickly if you're overweight, also focus on interval training for your running, do as many pushups, situps & flutter kicks as you can. Also, I'd stretch 3x a day at least, because I went into the academy at 32 years old & if I don't stretch, I die. Pedialyte has been my best friend for dehydration.
When my class was at the firing range, we had this one woman adjust her cover (hat) with her gun in her hand, and it was pointed at the guy's head next to her. The instructor broke the sound barrier on that one. She did all kinds of dumb, scatterbrained shit too. Needless to say, she's the only one we've lost in our class over halfway through the academy now lol
Vjnnb bnnn bnnbnn no. No
Maybe an interview with a wildlife or any other Natural Resource Officer? A whole different ball game!
Jack Rage I agree with this!
so yummi has come to the right side of the law eh? Lol
:-D
He just did it so he can speed a little more lol
Why is his name yummi
Hey man I just wanted to say thank you so much! Way back in middle school I went to Pennsylvania's camp cadet. It was a week long summer camp run by the state police for kids interested in a future with law enforcement. After that point I knew I wanted to get into the military or join the police. After graduation I began the enlistment process. This was in 2014. The recruiter asked me to lie about my adhd and small stupid stuff that would only require a waiver. I refused and he basically told my mom there were too many red flags and I was barred from service. A year later I learned he was just a lazy recruiter and was being told that I should try again with a different recruiter, but at this point I had my eyes set for law enforcement. I began classes for Criminal Justice but could only attend 1 semester to to money constraints and I was unable to receive a loan. I then began a factory job and admitted defeat that this is what I was stuck doing. I got laid off from that job and was then stuck working part time at a pet store. Here was where I discovered your channel! It was so much fun to hear your stories and how excited you always were to talk about it. One of the customers there that I grew a relationship for about 2ish years was a parole officer. We had some amazing conversations. Between you and her I was getting hyped to try again. She said I should apply to the county prison. They always need guys my size and I could probably do well there. 6 months ago I applied for the position and was losing hope as the time went on. 2 days ago I received an email stating my training class begins on July 29th. I mean I will only be a Correctional Officer at a County Jail but it's the beginning of the rest of my life! Thank you so much for the continued uploading! You really helped me keep trying!
Been 2 years how you doing
Update please 😂
Yummi is already rocking the Oakley‘s. I swear every cop have Oakley’s on standby
Oakley offers up to a 35% discount on many of their glasses for law enforcement.
GovX account or Oakley Standard Issue. Lol
As always I love the videos man, I can’t wait to be a cop
Love these length videos (interview q&a style)
Awesome video! Real helpful tips for the academy! Watched the entire vid. Love the vids 401!!!
I'm glad I found your channel. I'm in the process of being hired by my city department and your videos has helped me a lot. Thank you 401.
I love your videos 🙌🙌 I moved to GA a few months ago with my family and I’m now a Deputy Sheriff. Watching your videos motivated me so much before and after my move.
It’s awesome to see this change brotha🤘🏻my sister in law has been on the road for a several months now and I dig it so much, gonna be doing a ride along with her soon🤙🏻🤟🏻
Loved the video. It was really informative. I actually have a pt test to do this week for the dept in town wish me luck!
Thank you for answering my questions! And yes I'm already an explorer, I've been an explorer for almost 2 years. I absolutely love it!
I really do appreciate this video you guys came up with. Thanks for making my day guys.
Was literally watching one of officer401’s videos when I got the notification 😂 glad for yummi
Just hearing the words "of course the obvious fear is getting shot" is pretty scary in itself.
People will always hate when you do something for yourself been a Yummi sub for 5 years now... respect man! Keep growing! Can’t wait to hear your crazy story’s in the next few years.
The most helpful video from either channel for me so far thank you thank you much needed
I completed the Academy here in Georgia last December at the fresh old age of 51 with zero LE experience prior. Lemme know if you want to do a segment on joining the force at an older age.
You became a cop at 51? I'm 23, I'm trying to get in as well
I didn't know that was possible. That's genuinely exciting. I always thought it was limited to 20/30 somethings. It would be cool to see a segment on this.
Im 22 also wanting to get in. Would joining the military help with this?
I'd love to see a segment with you in it. I'm in my early thirties and am thinking about it. Currently trying to gain massive weight before though as I'm skinny as heck.
TheWolvirine25 not a Leo but military service will put you up on the list in most cases I’ve seen.
Yummi's rollin and patrollin... welcome to the blue bud!
Love the 2 of you. My Husband was an MP in the Army. He retired with 21 years. After that he worked at a Detention center until he retired from there. I know what you mean by the hours. As the spouse it was frustrating. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
401, you seriously inspired me man. I'm now in the reserve program at my local S.O. (unfortunately reserves have to purchase all of our equipment) Yall absolutely hit the nail on the head about being the new guy too 😂
Love this guest and this type of content
This really takes me back to my 1968 rookie year. In ‘74 I was involved in a gunfight w/three armed robbery suspects and I didn’t call my mom & dad in the aftermath. It didn’t occur to me that my name would be in the newspaper the next day (I was 28 yrs old) and that’s how they found out. That was a mistake!
11 weeks❗️ In Dallas, Tx it’s 36 weeks... Thank you for both of you and your answers they’ll help a lot in the future 💙🖤
Dpd?!!
Please do this again when he hits one year on the job. It would be so cool to see the progress.
Great info. As for running on a treadmill, it's fine as long as you have it set at a minimum incline of 2.0. I actually run faster outside than on the mill. I start the academy here in Colorado in 2.5 weeks and am excited to get started. Thanks for the Q and A.
I’m a dispatcher, hoping to get on the road some day. Been watching 401 since roughly 2014, and Yummi since 2012ish? This was amazing to see. 10-help had me ROLLING 😂
I started watching @yummir6 because of officer401 I took a lot of knowledge from both you guys and lord willing I will start applying this November thanks to both of you guys for all the videos of info about the academy and hiring process
Absolutely loved this video thanks!
I saw 401 hit the vape and I cried a little
TRL Gaming think it’s more of a way to help the stress of his job..
At least he don’t smoke
Who cares man? It’s his life....you’re really crying over a grown man hitting a vape? Unreal...pshhhhhh
Jake VanMeter man it’s just a joke on a RUclips video calm down a little
Jake VanMeter better then cigs! These people
Just finished EVOC here in Texas , it was fun but very intimidating. Like y’all said..trust your instructor and it will work.
@Officer 401..I will be joining the Houston Police Department soon my academy begins next month. Officer 401 you have answered so many of my questions through your videos and helped make so many other people want to become officers. You’re a genuinely good dude and very easy to listen to all day long. Appreciate your service and I’ll see you on the blue side.
-Devildog out
How’s it going
Love this video great questions and great advice.
Along with the physical preparation for the academy, please have a good command of the written English language.
Thanks guys i just got a conditional offer and if all goes well should be heading to the academy in the next couple months. Yummy offered some good advice, particularly about the treadmill lol
I’m in the explorer program in south FL and I love it. Can’t wait till the day I dawn the real uniform! Keep up the good work guys
Don the uniform
Thank you very much for all the insight guys! I'll definitely put all this to use! Keep up the great content.
Hey man you are halftime to 1 million subscribers congratulations. Love you vids. Keep up the work.
No treadmills!!! Best advice, I failed my 1st attempt at the mile and a half trusting that my time on a treadmill was on point. I could run 2 miles nonstop at almost a full run. Did .75 miles on the track! Not the same!!
Great video with great questions. I’m putting myself through a 9 month academy right now out here in California.
How did you find the police academy acdemics portion
Awesome stuff man, glad to hear a fresh voice from a rokiee.
i wish officer401 had his full on answer to the questions too so we could see a side by side view on each topic like experienced cop vs rookie.
What’s crazy is before I started the academy, everyone always said to prepare by running every day as much as I can. Here I am now, at the half way point in my academy, and still have yet to run at allllll. We do PT and various other cardio type exercises, but PT is only twice a week for 30 min each session. It’s insane how different it is from pretty much all other academies
Where was your academy?
This was such a valuable video, thank you!
Yaasssssss!!!!!! We’ve been waiting on you two!
Kinda want a video of your take on the water being thrown on the NYPD officers
MartinRaid seen it , pathetic ! No respect. Said to say and I’m from New York and look forward to getting into law enforcement
TheirsNoCompetition Joe definitely no respect for them at all
MartinRaid Then when someone threatens them they call the *cops* LOL
QuietRUclipsBros HD exactly
There's nothing to really put a take on, it's just like any other substance being thrown or projected at police or anybody for that matter. SJWs will sit and cry that "it's just water", but at the same time especially in this world it could definitely be a hazardous material, just because it looks like water doesn't mean that's all it is even if that's what it turned out to be. That could have been toilet water for all anyone knows, that could have been acid, etc.
officer401 AND yummir6 in one video, I must be dreaming.
future sheriff's deputy we need do it with dan now
Blaise Absolutely, that would be amazing.
I am a very new subscriber having found you thru Cody (Donut Operator). Your channel is really, really interesting, informative and fun to watch. I'm really enjoying a bit of a binge session watching your videos.
Take care and please be safe!
Heather🇨🇦
Good to see you guys again!! Great duo!
Officer 401 - you have made me understand and respect law enforcement officers a lot more. Ike 8 months ago I hated all cops. But since I have realized cops are people too. Thanks for the awesome content. Stay safe!
I'm currently in the process of trying to be an Indiana State Trooper and this video seems to have a lot of useful information, and I've already found myself doing a lot of what you guys have suggested to do. Thank you for making this video!
You both have that nice 'cop in a warm climate' tan going on, lol.
Great video, thanks for uploading, and the best of luck to Yummi in his new career.
Excellent show guys, love it
Your a cop now Yummi?! Lol Thanks crazy bro Congrats!! Because of you I learned to ride my first street bike. Thank you, and be safe out there brother!
It's so strange hearing my name in a 401 video haha. Such a great video guys! Good work :)
Super awesome questions. it’s nice seeing the answers from both a brand new officer’s perspective as well as a seasoned veteran. #BlueLivesMatter y’all are awesome
Binging all your videos here lately. I actually start the academy Monday, that's in less than three days!! Im nervous but more excited cause i have been wanting to do this for the last 3 years or so!!! Stay safe out there
How did you do?
Lol, I like these videos. Shows transparency with you guys. You work in a more dangerous line of work, And I work in an explosives plant
I once had an fto that wanted me to call him sensei...
Cody Hollingsworth thats so tough
Been waiting for this video since he announced he was joining!
I've waited for this so long
The city I live in changed the shifts a few years ago. They have 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts. One of my buddies said when he graduated they made all the rookies start on 2nd shift.
Brother, what a flash back, I started as explorer, then dispatcher, then jail, then road an all the fun along the way to Lt. Because starting at 14 an ending 43. That early exposure made all the difference in the world. I will share 1 true funny story. When I had a rookie with me doing FTO. I taped a quarter on the dash, my lesson was if at anytime I stop an ask we need help where are we? If they didn't know, that was for them to get out of my car, walk to find a payphone to call someone to pick you up. Also way early 90's when I earned my spot to attend academy. It was only 8 weeks.. looking back seems crazy, had the honor of working side by side by some the most amazing brothers an sisters in blue. Random opinion question for you. In my experience it seems that most officers for some reason takes about 5 years to get rookie mindset out of them.. also curious are you able to disclose the department you are with?
Here’s why I like officer 401. With everything going on today he is keeping it real. Please keep doing what you do we need more people like you!!!!
Great video guys. For anyone in Texas, you can put yourself through the academy here as well. It's vastly cheaper than what the guys in Georgia are having to pay. That is due to the fact that we don't have many in residence (live in) academies here, with the exception of the DPS/State Trooper Academy and possibly one or two others. There are several private academies around the state that are quality. There are also a few academies that are not quality. Do your research before committing. Lower quality academies mean an easier ride, but it also means your reputation could suffer in the future when you try to get hired by a reputable agency. Veterans be aware that most private academies do accept the GI Bill. I used my Post 911 GI Bill and it paid for everything, including my ammo, books, uniforms, etc. This is a good option for people who are having a hard time getting sponsored or who don't want to get on with a major agency like San Antonio, Houston, Austin or Dallas.
My boyfriend is a security guard and he switches from day shift to night shift every 8 working days and it sucks for both of us 😂
Why does his job have him switch like that? That's so stupid!!
MrJRod891 he does 4 days on and 4 days off, and after 2 sets it switches. Super dumb
@@JorieHarmony i work as a security guard too and we switch every week and sometime twice a week. its killing me
"10-HaLp!! 10-hAlP!!!" I'm crying 😂😂😂
Love your vids man! Keep up the great work :D
I had a laugh at the shift part. At my job every week our hours change.. days then afts then mids and back to days. 1 month on each would be a blessing!
Diggin the videos, glad i stumbled upon your channel
having been shot before it kind of passes off after a while and your biggest fear would be something like he said: letting someone down
Good video again 401
I already knew YummiR6 was going to be on the channel again. Also I ditched a Doughnut Operator video for Officer 401.
*DonutOperator will remember that*
Awesome interview, really interesting! I'd love to see more. Maybe even do a food challenge! Keep up the good work guys, have fun, take care and be safe!
You know what yummie, if someone is a true fan they will support you no matter what you will do. I love you brother. Keep doing what you’re doing and keep safe.
I see that aegis legend mod 401. Great interview guys. Great information!
Yes sir! No tobacco since February! :)
To be honest I'm glad this was a 40 minute video. Cause I was gonna be really sad if it was only 10.
I always learn from your videos!!
Loving the videos 401 🤘
Do things for yourself. A happier you means that you become more effective at helping others. BTW, I subscribed to YummiR6.
Do a video about the arrest of Jeffery Schultz. He claimed to be a Georgia police officer but wasnt actually employed as one and was arrested for impersonating a police officer. Video could be about lying to police at traffic stops. You're welcome. Good channel bromigo.
Up here in Kentucky you cannot put yourself through the academy, you have to be picked up by a department to go. We also have a few different academies depending on what level of law enforcement you choose to go with such as State Police has there own academy that’s different from the main local law enforcement academy. Love the video guys!! Both of you stay safe!
Just passed my academy a couple weeks ago, and just signed up to take my post board test. HI from Minnesota.
How did you find the academic portion
You vape??????? I didn’t know that it surprised me
First name Last name still better then smoking and the ones that blow up If that’s what you mean about “dangerous” those are user failure
@@FirstnameLastname-be8pn Ya, I guess I was kinda disappointed when I saw him doing it on his live stream. It's his life though.
No tobacco since February 🙂
officer401 keep it up brother :) fuck tobacco
Eve I just didn’t know
I can not wait to do ride alongs, be an explorer, and do every other thing involving law enforcement. Just a few more years!!
Great video thanks for all the info
Shout out from Indiana great content fellas I wish the best for both of y’all.Just took my polygraph last week pray for me lol!
