mike cruz - That's something I hope will never happen for the safety of the police department and the public, but I gotta admit, seeing 401 suddenly pop up on live news taking down the perp & saving the day would be freaking awesome xD
I know that feeling of the cold shiver up your spine and hairs on the back of your neck very well. That dead calm look, when they are looking at you but also straight through you like your nothing. I have come across a few patients like that and you really don't understand it until you experience it yourself. It's bone chilling.
Gave me the goosebumps listening to you retell that shit, props to you guys for being the ones who have to handle creepy shit like that every single day.
Absolutely loved every minute of this one and you are a hell of a story teller. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way and then you'd say "now lets get to the good/creepy part" and I'm just like ??????? there's more?! HOW. Love the story times keep it up!
I’m glad your senses are working, they’ll keep you safe and alive, never doubt them! It makes me happy to know you guys did something more then let him go and moved on. Like your instincts are telling you he’s a bad actor and your SWAT thoughts are most likely on point. I ran into a guy like this myself years ago, it’s like the lights are on but no one is home, almost soulless. About 60 days later on another shift, he was admitted to the morgue with a case of death by leo.
Dude, can you talk a bit about the challenges related to law enforcement with regards to really big events especially outdoors where they have to shut down streets. I was at an outdoor festival and was curious how to manage stuff like that.
I straight up binge watched all of your videos the last two days. Keep putting out interesting content man! I really enjoy your stories, thank you for sharing all of them! New subscriber here!
I was a truck driver for about 20 years. I mainly drove big rigs, but from time to time delivery truck as well. One suburb grocery store had this small guy as a manager and he gave me the creeps every time I saw him. It was just as you said the hairs on my neck jumped up and I got this really uneasy feeling. I was extremely relieft when I finally got out of there. Creepy
imo, your story translated perfectly. i appreciate your stories that are not always humorous. thanks for the interesting & educational & the funny, too, of course. you're likable & seem fair and not tricky & creepy like cops can be. thanks :)
Full moon is the best time too be a criminal. Cover of darkness, with usable light. I would imagine that's why. Offers concealment, without compromising vision too much.
As terrible as Asylums were, they were better than what we have now, which is nothing. It should not be that crazy guy's bothers job to care for him (potentially putting himself and his property in danger) and it should not be the job of the neighbors to live in fear of that lunatic. Bless your heart sir, you shouldn't have to deal with that sort of wildcard either, we need a system to separate the truly deranged from civil society for all of our protection, cops, citizens, and the family of the afflicted alike.
Uh, I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, MrMattumbo, lol. "As terrible as Asylums where, they were better than what we have now, which is nothing". Please don't speak on something you have no knowledge of.
So please tell me why a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic with a history of violence and breaking into random houses is allowed to roam free if we have such a great mental health system?? Why is he not committed, why is there no way for LEOs to have him committed despite him clearly being mentally unstable and dangerous? Instead of telling me to shut my mouth and being a condescending prick why don't you explain to me why we shouldn't have a system for permanently committing people like this? Why is it that despite violent crime being at its lowest rate ever we are seeing a massive increase in attacks from people with debilitating mental disorders, who otherwise would have been in the asylum system?
MrMattumbo You asked some great questions! 1. Lack of money 2. Lack of space available to put people who are at that specific time not a danger to themselves or other 3. Lawyers that successfully argued their civil rights being infringed on 4. Money 5. Lack of money 6. Lack of funds at all levels to deal with mental illness. I’m a former nurse and worked at state run psychiatric institutes for a few months. There is not enough funds to properly handle the people who are a clear and present danger to themselves. There is certainly no funds to handle those like the person Officer 401 is talking about. I’m not easily intimidated when it comes to my clients and I’m creative at getting them help from any available source. I was terrified for my physical safety working there as we were short staffed so how could I be an effective advocate for my client if I was terrified?
Love your stories! And yeah, when your job involves working with the general public, you really do get all sorts. I know this from being a nurse. Please keep the stories coming. 😊
Thanks for the story that dude sounds super creepy. No doubt you haven’t seen the last of him. Anyway I’ve got a police interview tomorrow and I am nervous lol wish me luck
Or a fellow youtuber, for that matter. That'd be a hell of a crossover/collab video. "Hello RUclips, this is Officer 401, and I am writing Xx_Gamegod_xX... a citation for speeding! Comment, subscribe, and don't forget to smash that like button!"
I have worked in law enforcement and private sector for many years with many LEO from several departments, you are one of the coolest cops I ever known, and I never even met you. 👍
True and maybe so, but even that combo doesn't put out the kind of feelings it caused him and his fellow officers. My brother in law was both a paranoid schizophrenic and did drugs and never put off that kind of feeling.
Full moon was definitely nuts for Sunday night also. We had one of the craziest vehicle pursuits in Indianapolis. Also.... it was my last FTO shift :D I graduated!!!
Wow that was a very enthralling story man! Had me on my toes and felt like I was there. Glad you guys were ok and I really hope this guy get the help he desperately needs.
Police Reserves vary in each state on what they can/can’t do. And I think each police department in each state can dictate what role reserve police officers can do, but I don’t know for sure though.
Lol dang. Yeah I know I not family family type member but kinda close to WiFe family. But this guy is so so legally crazy he could stab you and be out in 2months. He thinks he is lunar Lynyrd Skynyrd some days and some days he is a reincarnated Confederate soldier add when I tell you he is dead serious. It is so scary when he goes into those personalities. Lol like WHOA!
I used to own a Taxicab company in Broward County FL, and like you, I never believed in the full moon thing either, but after owning the cabs, I've changed my mind! It is truly amazing how many lunatics come out on the full moon! Of course I guess I shouldn't have been so surprised, considering both lunar (moon) and lunatic share the same base. I used to have the strangest things happen to both the cabs, as well as the drivers on the full moon.

Loving this channel! I’m about to graduate high school this year and I’m highly considering becoming a cop! And you have been explaining everything pretty good and I find it so interesting . Keep it up!
This was an awesome video thanks for posting bravo👏 Its was good of you to let the family know to keep an eye out on him great police work. You listened to your intuition thats always a wise move. Keep up the great work in all that you do. And heave a great trip ✈
My local hospital has ‘manic Mondays’, where emergency is full of people coming down from the weekend. Also, they have something called the ‘teeth to tattoo ratio’. You can probably figure it out.
Dude this story brings back some crazy memories...I actually just watched the movie "Se7en" with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman for the first time last night because I never got around to checking it out until it hit Netflix. Dealing with people that are so seemingly calm, collected, cold, and calculated is tough for those of us who are trained to be authoritative and direct when dealing with a subject or suspect. No shit, hairs stood up when you got to the part about this individual standing in the dark hallway...
Sounds creepy AF, he needs to find help before the Seargents prediction comes true and it becomes national news.
As you're watching the live news.. 401 just takes a shot at the dude lol
mike cruz - That's something I hope will never happen for the safety of the police department and the public, but I gotta admit, seeing 401 suddenly pop up on live news taking down the perp & saving the day would be freaking awesome xD
I keep checking my back now.. wtf
If no involuntary committal, he will probably break into the wrong person's house and wind up ventilated.. tough situation.
"Breaking news: Cops shoot down mentally challenged man for swinging a garden hose around."

Great video, fantastic story, creepy. Good luck with that guy. *:D*
Hey Officer401, I'd like to extend a big thank you from Canada, you're videos kept me going through some really tough times.
I'm supposed to be getting ready for work, this seems more important
Benjamin H same lmao
Yup
I was driving
Said a Cop pulled you over. And you had to talk to him(Officer401).
Agreed
I love these story videos!! And having the pictures/videos makes it that much more awesome!
Gave me the goosebumps listening to you retell that shit, props to you guys for being the ones who have to handle creepy shit like that every single day.
You are the #1 Cop! 👮 🚓
Absolutely loved every minute of this one and you are a hell of a story teller. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way and then you'd say "now lets get to the good/creepy part" and I'm just like ??????? there's more?! HOW. Love the story times keep it up!
Can’t wait for part 2. You know more is coming
I’m glad your senses are working, they’ll keep you safe and alive, never doubt them! It makes me happy to know you guys did something more then let him go and moved on. Like your instincts are telling you he’s a bad actor and your SWAT thoughts are most likely on point.

Thanks for Sharing!!!!! What's scares me the most is every town has somone like this.....creeping and slithering around .WTF
“I know it’s quit a visual”... I no joke laughed out loud.😂
I straight up binge watched all of your videos the last two days. Keep putting out interesting content man! I really enjoy your stories, thank you for sharing all of them! New subscriber here!
Holy shit. What a story. Its like a movie. Love it.
you are gonna find out he's got bodies buried somewhere
My thoughts exactly..
Drew Miller probably under the house!
Drew Miller I was thinking the same thing.
Hey... does anyone remember "Disturbia" starring Shia LaBeouf?
Police Officer Fan Club Yes sir
I was a truck driver for about 20 years. I mainly drove big rigs, but from time to time delivery truck as well. Great video as always Officer 401! One of the only you tubers that I watch their videos to the end.
Thank you buddy! :)
No problem officer401. Glad to give you some views on some work I would like to do in the future.
imo, your story translated perfectly. i appreciate your stories that are not always humorous. thanks for the interesting & educational & the funny, too, of course. you're likable & seem fair and not tricky & creepy like cops can be. thanks :)
This guy was high on flinstones gummies
cops have the best stories. this is probably one of the best I have heard
Full moon is the best time too be a criminal. Cover of darkness, with usable light.
I would imagine that's why. Offers concealment, without compromising vision too much.

My dude is wearing a shirt that says "I'm on a boat" man I love this channel
Holy hell great story
Be safe!

MrMattumbo we have care homes now???

MrMattumbo Freedom is better than forced torture through isolation.
Love your stories! And yeah, when your job involves working with the general public, you really do get all sorts. I know this from being a nurse. Please keep the stories coming. 😊
I can only imagine this dude looking like Danny Devito lmao
Lol Danny Devito. Now I kinda get that out of my head.
Love story time. Keep up the great work and be safe
What would you do if you’re arresting someone and they’re like “Omg, Officer 401 in your biggest fan!”
No One let em go
Hey just want to say thank you for putting up this channel so police and citizens can come together. Thanks for everything.
Love the vids from Ireland
CianF 4321 i love ireland from america
Great story, keep them coming!!
Thanks for the story that dude sounds super creepy. No doubt you haven’t seen the last of him. Anyway I’ve got a police interview tomorrow and I am nervous lol wish me luck
I love these stories!!!!!!
Have you ever pulled over a fan or had a fan encounter while on duty? Love the videos!
Or a fellow youtuber, for that matter. That'd be a hell of a crossover/collab video. "Hello RUclips, this is Officer 401, and I am writing Xx_Gamegod_xX... a citation for speeding! Comment, subscribe, and don't forget to smash that like button!"
It'll be like Officer Daniels and how he shit-posts while on duty, especially those vines where he has a suspect and shit's on him lmao.
These are my favorite videos that you make, love the stories. Keep it up.
Just ditched Mike the Cop's new video to watch this.
Heather Anon me to
Heather Anon *Top 10 Anime Betrayals*
:(
R0AST5_ no thanks
Heather Anon lol, awww... Poor Mike.
Love your videos officer401. Always cool to hear stories and experiences from an experienced officer of the law.
Do you carry a fully-semi-automatic gun?
john doe duh! With a self firing bump stock! Where have you been we all do
MoFrog III% and heat seeking bullets mind you!
With mind control ghost guns
And a chain saw bayonet
With antimatter bullets!
I have worked in law enforcement and private sector for many years with many LEO from several departments, you are one of the coolest cops I ever known, and I never even met you. 👍
Been waiting for this and could you make a video about transitioning from military to police
Thanks for sharing!!!
Dude I was about to go to bed today has been rough guess I’m staying up to watch this
The Night owl You must be somewhere in Europe.
Pickles uk 🇬🇧
And 12 likes what the fuck Thanks lol
I love a 401 video to lighten Mondays
Nice talking to you Clarice. Love to chat but I'm having Officer 401 for dinner.
It's the same way for jailers Officer 401. We believe the full moon curse. Appreciate all that you do. Cheers from Iowa.
I have a pit bull, a very alert German Shepherd and a suppressed 300 blkout rifle that would solve that problem if he came in my house.
That was one of the best 401 videos I’ve seen.....good luck with this guy...
Officer I told you that I would love it, even when you haven't uploaded it, I loved it😀😀
That stand off would be insane ! But thanks you @officer401 for the amazing content! Stay safe out there ! Thank you for serving!
I guess you could say there was.... very superstitious, writings on the wall
I know exactly what you mean Officer 401. When I was a medic, we got really off the wall bizarre calls everytime there was a full moon.
Sounds like he has a demon.
True and maybe so, but even that combo doesn't put out the kind of feelings it caused him and his fellow officers. My brother in law was both a paranoid schizophrenic and did drugs and never put off that kind of feeling.
Dean Presely
Possibly.
You mean a demon haunts him or detves as an attachment to his energy? !
Tbf don’t we all have our demons that haunt us from time to time
The dr’s& nurses in the hospitals tell me the same thing. On a full moon theres a rise in activity. No doubt about it!!!
Yikes! I made the mistake of watching this in the dark. Bad idea!
Me too. Right before bed.
Full moon was definitely nuts for Sunday night also. We had one of the craziest vehicle pursuits in Indianapolis. Also.... it was my last FTO shift :D I graduated!!!
Been working in a jail for over 24 years hate full moons.
Wow that was a very enthralling story man! Had me on my toes and felt like I was there. Glad you guys were ok and I really hope this guy get the help he desperately needs.
you should do a video on police reserves! as in the roles they play, etc, :)
Sigma like seasonal police? I'm not a leo but idk if they have reserves if they do that's cool
Police Reserves vary in each state on what they can/can’t do. And I think each police department in each state can dictate what role reserve police officers can do, but I don’t know for sure though.
Favorite video so far. I love crazy people stories. Keep it up
I'm an anesthesiologist & I can can tell you the full moon does has a massive effect on the ER
One of your best videos imo I would like more stories like this!
That creepy feeling is your "Bellyometer" going off the scale. lol Would he be considered a person of interest from this point oi?
He's lucky he's got good cops in his area. Just imagine what a _bad_ officer might do when he has a "creepy feeling."
Crazy story man thanks for sharing !
Dang 22 likes and no views 😂. I should be working but I saw your notification pop up and I “had to go to the bathroom” 😂😂
Stay safe out there!!!!!
COBWEBS!!! Count me out dude.
As for the dude....sounds satanic. YIKES!
The best visual I've had all week and I work at a discount retailer in Gainesville Georgia.
Introduce the creepy guy to Caren Turner, they'd make a cute couple!
Laura C. No no no no no!
Good luck, stay safe!
Be safe, God bless you all.
Sounds like demonic possession.
Excellent video!!!! As much as I’m creeped out; I really wish we could fix all mental health. I live just outside of Toronto, Ontario.
Officer401 hope your shift goes quiet
I'm in the back of officer401 car and go to jail joking
The Dragking252 I believe you mean QUIET
It was quit but he changed it
The Dragking252 you fool, you jinxed him!!! Stay safe Officer401

Have you seen honey boo boo’s mom lately? She wouldn’t even be noticeable. Lost a lot of weight. Lol
Be safe brother, thank you for being brave and protecting your community!
I am muslim and if its full moon it's recommended to not go out. Cause the Jins (demons) are more active that night.😀
Arkee Bruh I'm a Muslim and I have never heard that before
You should search
I'm not a Muslim and I have never heard that before.
Hmmmm wonder why
Arkee greetings brother of the faith!
I loved this story. Got me thinking about how weird people are. Going to be on my toes around people now😂
I saw a test of this where they took police logs and removed the dates. Cops could not identify which nights were full moon by the logs alone.
It's a beautiful case of confirmation bias. Just by chance you will have crazy nights that are full moon nights, so you remember those nights and you forget about all the quiet full moon nights.
That's an interesting way to test it!
For my part, I just assumed there'd be more crime because 1. criminals are just as superstitious/suggestible as anyone else, and 2. more light means more visibility, so more crime would be spotted and reported.
You'd think that, but the numbers don't seem to indicate it. Sometimes full moon nights are busy, sometimes they are quiet, but most times they are just normal nights.
I'm looking for the study to link it. I thought it was a good way to test to see if full moon nights are really busy.
And it could also stand to reason that some crime is prevented or postponed by a full moon.
[edit] So maybe it's a wash?
Except for the frequency of calls like this, where no paperwork is filed. There's a reason the word for crazy people dating back to the middle ages is "lunatic"
I work in dispatch, it's a thing man. The number of nonviolent obs calls is higher, but they're non violent so a report is never filed.
Sorry David, the data simply doesn't support this. There is no correlation between the full moon and the frequency of crime. Not even the frequency of people calling the police.
As a dispatcher you have some nights that are very quiet, and some that are very busy, but most will be about average.
I am willing to bet, if you don't know the moons faze before hand, you will not be able to tell which nights are full moon, and which are not based on the volume of calls you get.
I loved the format of this video. The content was really entertaining, as well. I would love to see more in the future.
Dude, this story is amazing. New subscriber and I must say you are truly a great storyteller.
Always appreciate these stories officer401. Your videos have been part of the inspiration for me to look into becoming a police officer. Question for you. What does your workout routine look like currently to keep yourself fit for the job? What was your routine like as you were getting ready to join the academy all those years ago. Has the workouts and the focus changed? Thanks for your input! God bless!
Loving this channel! I’m about to graduate high school this year and I’m highly considering becoming a cop! And you have been explaining everything pretty good and I find it so interesting . Keep it up!
Videos long like that are no problem at all officer! We like it a lot, in fact.
Great story, even my neck hair went crazy hearding this
That's funny. On Saturday I heard the town next to mine get dispatched for a train vs car MVC with the car 100 yards down the track.
Great video very entertaining!! Like a ghost story you hear as a kid around the fire
hope you are having a good week as well officer
Thats a creepy history.. cheers from Brazil! Great content @officer401
That give the chills omg
That’s so creepy! You told the story very well. Be safe out there.
This was an awesome video thanks for posting bravo👏 Its was good of you to let the family know to keep an eye out on him great police work. You listened to your intuition thats always a wise move. Keep up the great work in all that you do. And heave a great trip ✈
