The only reason I'd want to be in the black friday line is so that I can secure the front of the line and then 30 minutes before the store opens I auction off my spot. Sure, I may buy that 50 inch tv at full price, but it wasn't my money that bought it.

Wife and I did the Black Friday thing a couple of yrs ago at Wally-World just to see the mayhem. It was amazing to see the reactions people had over the $10 toy bin !! People stealing other people's carts, riding the bikes to get from isle to isle, INSANE!! Funny but the grocery section was complete empty!!!!!!!!
Easter is a holiday where you have to be nice too except for the easter egg hunt where you can body check a 6 year old to get that one piece of candy in a plastic egg

Black Friday is crazy where I live. We have a store called Fred Meyer’s and on Black Friday socks are half off. I remember one year I had just had knee surgery so I was waiting in line on crutches. When the store opened the doors some lady pushed me over to get to the socks! Who in their right mind pushes over a person on crutches for socks!!??

I made a joke to a cop working Walmart on black friday. I said jokingly, "looks like you got demoted to greeter haha " He found it really offensive and went on a long narrative about easy over time, which is fine but he was really offended. I kind of felt bad about it.

Recently I went to Walmart in Virginia on Thanksgiving and saw what looked to be a probie deputy working the detail. The only way I can describe the look on his face was he reminded me of the movie Saving Private Ryan and the soldiers faces when the boats landed on the beaches. I'm not sure what he went though but I can guarantee he saw some things.

I was a State Police Trooper for 22 years and worked in areas outside of major metro areas that didn't have their own police departments. We covered many rural counties with high unemployment and substance abuse rates which led to high crime stats. I worked the midnight shift and we used to make bets in our patrol room, what time the first retail shoplifting call would come in to our dispatcher from the local Walmart store on Black Friday. This was several years ago when they would open at midnight on Black Friday and the parking lot would be full by 10pm in anticipation on Thanksgiving night. There were always fights in the parking lot because of course it's best to shop at midnight while you're intoxicated. I remember one year someone ran out the front door with a big screen TV at 12:10am because Walmart thought it was a good idea to stack the TV's next to the doors without a security guard nearby. The store manager was told by the corporate office to make their displays inviting for the customers.

when I was younger my brother and I always went black Friday shopping with my dad. We'd have a small list of things to go look at or get, but most of the time we just watched the idiots running around trying to get their stuff for a little cheaper or rip the nonworking display models off the shelves/walls to try to buy. Now I work for a shipping company and after black Friday we are backed up and on overtime until mid January

Damn dude, ur totally awesome. I gotta admit, I grew up hating police, mostly Bc I grew up in an area with corrupt narcotics officers who multiple times beat and robbed me. I experienced some of the worst treatment from the worst who somehow made it into the department. Now that I’m older and have met legit, normal and friendly officers, I feel so different. As well, watching your videos I totally wish there were 100x more officers like you. Keep up the good work, you give a good name to police, respect ✊
Try working Black Friday as a Walmart Sales Associate. Talk about an adrenaline rush. Did that a few years ago. We had a little old lady that went around with pepper spray and a stun gun snatching up items and guarding her buggy. She sprayed or zapped like 8 people. I do believe she was charged. Lol.

Do a video on what police officers think about open carrying
that could be interesting. I personally think it should be legal in every state. Not that I would open carry but I hate having to worry so much about my shirt lifting up when I'm riding or even just when reaching for something on a top shelf in the store. Florida seems to be pretty strict on that law.
I wouldn't personally open carry though just because I feel like if I was in a situation like an active shooter that I would be one of the first targeted because I would be seen as a threat. Advertising to everyone that you are armed takes away your advantage.

awdeveau you do know Florida passed a law a few years back that got rid of the punishing accidental printing or exposure if you're legally carrying concealed? As for the whole being a targeted for open carrying, if everyone who carried did so openly it wouldn't be a problem.

+USonuMabeaCh Yes I'm aware of that law but when I got my permit a little over a year ago my instructor made sure to let us know that the law states that the firearm may be displayed "briefly" and that the problem is that briefly isn't defined as in 1 sec. or 5 sec. and that in the end its up to officer discretion to determine what "briefly" is. So I still take that as if you end up with an officer that's having a bad day or doesn't like the Second Amendment you yourself could end up having a bad day.

I'll tell you this, some of us listen to you while were doing work or are busy, and its helpful knowing that we're not missing anything in the video.
I remember 5 years ago, on Black Friday back when I was living back in Maryland, someone had to get life flighted from toys r us because they got trampled to the point where they had a possible head injury, and they could not feel their legs, indicating a spine injury. That calls for life fight in Maryland.

I really like your videos because you live in Georgia, so they help me learn a lot of the Georgia laws. I'm only 15 and deeply considering law enforcement so all of the tips I can get i listen to and really love. This is my main source of entertainment, logic, and knowledge now.

Same. I hate shopping. My transactions usually don’t exceed 7 items except maybe three times a year. I’m not very consumeristic. Food is different. I spend most money on that but I hate ordering at the store or restaurant and waiting so much that I preorder online.

I've lived in several cities and black Friday has always been organized contrary to the stereo type and I have never had to worry about fights or people taking from carts or anything. I could just be lucky or the cops were I lived and currently live do their job well. They are at every store I have ever went to black Friday at and only once a guy was removed by police for yelling and threatening people including the store manager.

Unfortunately it differs between states. In Oregon you can have everything except the markings. No vinyls. The lights, sirens, bumper, radios, antennas. You cannot use the lights on paved roads or in city limits and you cannot use the sirens within 100 ft of people's homes. Nor can you transmit on the radio. That's a big no no. But listening is completely legal. My buddy builds emergency vehicles out here in Oregon and we've installed lights sirens and radios in our Jeeps. We were up in the Mountain's about 15 miles out of town testing it all out when the sheriff came up looking for underage drinkers but heard our sirens and then saw our red and blue flashing lights he turned on his and we all freaked out and turned ours off and he got on his intercom and asked us to get out of our rigs. We did he then came over and talked to us about our Jeeps and we had a sound off with all the different sirens. He was quite jealous that we also had the fire and ambulance tones and he only had the police tones.

I work evening shift on Black Friday, so thankfully I miss of the craziness associated with that crappy day. Hell I get more trouble on Thanksgiving from all the drunken family disputes that somehow spirals into a DV situation.
Hahaha...I physically went out to go Black Friday shopping once about 15 years ago. I swore I’d never do it again. And, I haven’t. I do it online. (I’m seriously in the doghouse after this past Black Friday) I did have fun because my husband and I went with another couple and we had a good time. The day I usually will go shopping On is the day after Christmas. The lines are for returns and not the regular checkouts. The best days to go food shopping are the day after the holiday. Works out great especially since we never celebrate the holiday on the actual holiday.

As a retail employee I can confirm that working Black Friday sucks. It has always been all hands an I haven't been able to participate. You can get some seriously good deals some times.
Several years ago the deputy chief in my town was off duty but in uniform, and bought a bottle of wine before going home. Well someone raised a stink about it, and he actually got reprimanded. I know this story because it actually made the news.
I've only done black Friday twice. Both times the only thing I bought was a coffee, because the only reason why I even went was for the entertainment value. It's like watching a combination between a bunch of stampeding buffalo and a feeding frenzy.

I've noticed it's gotten a bit better the last couple of years with the massive increase in online shopping -- that being said I made the mistake of trying to go to Menards last year. After parking in a field about a quarter mile from the entrance, I couldn't even get *to* any of the merchandise and the lines were halfway to the back of the store. It's just not worth it. My time and stress levels are worth more than saving a few bucks, especially when I can get comparable, if not better, deals on the internet. This year, as I do most, I stayed at home!

I live in a pretty small community and worked at what is basically the only Walmart (or any big store like it) in about a 50 mile radius. I worked there on black Friday and I saw two different people step on two different babies that were in carriers on the ground. Don't take your baby to black Friday people, and definitely don't put the carrier on the ground.
