I remember my dad stoping someone trying to break into our neighbors house. When he pulled up in the driveway when he was on lunch break. It was the coolest thing that I ever saw him. He drew his 357 and snuck up on the guy and pointed his gun at the back of his head. He told this guy to put his hands up. And, if he tried anything that he was going to end up in the hospital. This was back in 1985. He was the coolest guy that I know. But, he's since retired.

It sounds like your dad was an amazing individual. I'm so sorry he can't be with us today. I have no doubt that he would be super proud of everything you have done as a police officer to get to where you are now!

Sargent, Thank you for sharing this. So glad you got to do that interview with your dad so he could share some of his experience with so many. I think it would be amazing if you could share more of his legacy with us. Of course only the things he would be ok with and you are comfortable with.
You certainly had an amazing role model and you are following in his footsteps making a huge difference in so many ways. While his career is amazing in truth you are his real legacy. Who you are and all you do has a ripple effect that will continue on. Im so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how proud he was of you. Your dad certainly was 1BADFED!
    Wishing you many blessings.
