Welcome man! Love what you're doing. Another interesting insight idea- what it's like walking into public places/store in uniform vs. street clothes. I'm super friendly and extrovertive, but when I'm in uniform people stare at me and then they dart their eyes away before I can even smile at them. Humanity stuff. It's weird.

Best Cops episode I ever saw involved a K9. Police were chasing a guy in a small pickup down country roads till the hit a dead end and the guy got out and started running. Police yelled for him to stop or they would shoot and he kept running, one officer yelled "I'm going to set my dog loose!" And the guy dropped on the spot! The guy had no fear of being shot but that dog scared the hell out of him!

Was told a story by a friend who was a Sgt on (xyz Department in KY).
He got a call requesting assistance.
From what he told me, the K9 Officer had made a traffic stop or something minor like that. The stop was low key, the civilian was being polite and respectful. Well the Officer who was really close to retirement was tapping his belt as he joked with the guy, not realizing he was tapping the button on his belt that kicked his dog's door open. Until he happened to look across the car and saw his dog with paws up on the door (open window) of the passenger side, with a look of "just say the word Boss...."
The Officer got very serious and instructed the civilian, "sir whatever you do, do not take take yours off the wheel, keep your eyes on me" all the while trying to discreetly motion to the dog to get leave. The dog wasn't budging.
Only after my friend got there was the Officer able to take control of his dog and then explain what happened. Needless to say, the driver got off with not even a warning and was pretty cool about. Saying, "well shit, mistakes happen, no harm, no foul".
Could you make a video talking about what happens if you pull over (make a traffic stop) a family member (mom, dad, wife ,ect)

I love hearing your stories especially when I know that you are a member of my local county police force. I'm 28 years old and have grown to have much respect for my county/city police. On Christmas night I was at the Parkers on perry lane road and a female county officer walked in. She was getting a cappuccino and I just thanked her for her service and paid for her drink. It was the least I could do to show my respect because even though I had my share of trouble when I was younger from being young and dumb, the county police has always been there for me when I've needed them.

Both have pros and cons just like anything else. You'll get more well-rounded experience as a city/county cop. Troopers can't fingerprint for shit, but they can sure as hell write some tickets.

I don't get the money part of the drugs and money thing. How can it be right to see someone with cash and take it just being like I'm sure the way you got cash was selling drugs. Because I've heard of stories where people who just pay with cash get stopped, the officer takes their cash, and they never see it again. Not sure if they're true, but do you know the legal side of that?

worldfamousGI would be a great video to see him either defend or condemn that particular practice. it's basically a law that says you Have to utilize the services of the private banking industry. unless you choose to be destitute. which is also a crime in many areas.

I'm assuming it was for some safety, and security purposes. Especially the patrol car video. It really wouldn't be hard to find out what department he works for, if you knew what you were looking for. You could then, find a lot about the guy, and potentially try to harm him or his family. Or someone might take offense to something he said, call his department, and ruin his career. You know how people are these days.

Its not illegal unless in specific circumstances, like being released at roadworks. If its dangerous it can be classed as reckless driving, with seperate penalties.
it can be called "display of power" among other things. Honestly that's my biggest gripe about metered freeway on-ramps... they are a robot, they absolutely do not care how they meter traffic, there may be NO OTHER TRAFFIC from the ramp at all, but they will order me to stop and then from zero get up to merging speed to NOT hinder traffic in less than half or maybe even 1/3 of the space I had if the damn light was smart enough to know that there's no queue trying to merge.
for example I get on the freeway around 5:30 am and it's pretty damn dead at that time of the morning, but me getting on the freeway at 35mph is a hazard!
it can be but usually cops won't get you for it unless it's a race or you spun your tires.
