This damn song still chokes me up 25 years later 😭
Biracial Barbie saaaaame
He barely started singing and I started bawling like a big ol' baby. 😂😭
Every single time
This song hits so close to home for me that it makes me have all those feels every damnnnn time
Same.
It's been said time after time, but the fact that this channel can objectively and fairly react to all genres of music, makes it the best Reaction channel on RUclips. Bar none. Plus, y'all are funny as hell doing it. Proud to be a subscriber and a Patron. #FreeThinkers
bgbdcam *I hope to inspire people with my music. If you have a second please give me a listen!*
Their production level is great. Nothing cheesy at all. They’re real and really well done
word up
Agree 100%
Damn right. freethinkers
I cried. Dang you country music! 😭😭😭
Same
Everytime with this song.
I avoid this song if im not alone lol
I've been crying over this song for 30 years... tonight isn't any different. This is the best react channel that I've ever seen.
Somebody cutting onions
Man the 1st time I heard this some I was working in a warehouse with all guys and 1 chick, she told me to listen to the words of the song. Made me mad af, cause there I was trying to walk around with my throat hurtin' trying not to cry lol
True that brother. Chokes me up everytime
This song definitely made me feel some type of way after I first heard it. Now its one of my favorite songs from any genre.
It's a 'killin' ' story. Heart wrenching and creeps up on a body.. LOVE it; love Tim McGraw. Thanks for your real comment.
This song came out when I was 14. I'm not a fan of country but my mom always had it playing non-stop. I must have heard the song a million times. It never affected me at all. Then much later in my early 30s I fell hard for a woman and was in a relationship with her for a few years. I couldn't believe how much I loved her. But that ended. Now I can't get through that last verse without at least one eye getting a little moist.
Pisses me right off. Especially now that I know what kind of horrible person she ended up being. lol
lmfaooo literally makes me cry every time
Three wooden crosses - Randy Travis
The first thing I did after watching this was listen to Three Wooden Crosses, then I came back to suggest it, but you beat me to it.
Yes
YESSSSSSZ
Yes

One of the most beautiful songs ever. Clicked immediately...
"Take the very breath you gave me.
Take the heart from my chest.
I'll gladly take her place if you'll let me.
Make this my last request".
I NEVER get past those four lines.
YESSSS.... Gets me every time!
I was crying soon as he started singing...
I'm usually in tears 😭 when that part of the song comes.. extremely emotional
Going through this with my wife right now after 27 years
@@WilliamSmith-pp3sc I'm praying for y'all
This song came out when I had my daughter. Two weeks late with complications. 20% survival unless she was put on a special machine.
She’s 27 now and gave me 3 beautiful grand babies.
I still can’t get through this song without tearing up. All those emotions come flooding back.
Oh my god have I been waiting for this!!! Don't Take The Girl is a goddamn national treasure
Goddamn national treasure
Couldn't have said it any better 💜
There's a great generational story in "Copperhead Road" by Steve Earle. Others have requested it, I'm reiterating the request. It's in no way "sappy", it's raw and different. Thanks guys.
Hell yeah.
Yes! I've requested it several times. Hopefully they will do it sometime soon.
In case anyone's wondering...the girl survived in the official video; the Johnny going fishing in the end was Johnny, Jr. (Johnny, Johnny, Jr., & "the girl").
In the video yes but real true story this stems from she didnt
@@jonzgurl4ever Yea, sadly I agree. The song leads me to believe she didn't make it, and the message is don't take things for granted.
Great song.
@@kristenjustkristen9462 The song also leads one to believe she did in fact make it, in the beginning he begs not to take her and she goes with them and they fall in love, then in the middle he begs the robber not to take her after he grabs her and she is let go, then at the end one could be lead to believe it also followed the trend of them both making it out together.
No that isn’t the mom running. That is another girl running with Johnny Jr and his dad. The story is repeating itself.
No, she did not live. That's his new wife...
You guys provided the most insightful comments I have ever seen in a reaction to this song. You really got the composition. There's one thing that's not apparent here but answered in the official video. Tim McGraw leaves the story open-ended in the song, but in the end as Jonny is taking his son fishing, you see in the final second or two of the video, mom runs up carrying a picnic basket. So his prayers were answered.
Reba McEntire - Fancy, Kenny Rogers - The Gambler, Coward of the County, Randy Travis - Three Wooden Crosses. Beautiful Stories in all of these songs.
They did fancy
Victoria Furlough the only reaction from Reba McEntire that I can find from them is The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia.
Hmm i could have sworn they did
I think I'd rather see The Greatest by Kenny Rogers, but both are good choices.
Allison Roberts -all those are amazing! Along with “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” by Reba.
Uncle lucius - keep the wolves away
Guaruntee you both love it
That is a great song
Thats one of my current favs.
I've requested that one more than once on this channel. lol!
Yes!
Agreed!
I'm a fan of Tim McGraw and I'll admit when I first heard the song it did make me shed a tear
Humble and kind!
Live like you were dying
Liar! You know you broke down in tears!
It's just the way it is, you can't avoid the eyes getting wet on this one
CTyankee71 lmfaooo btw what is the song even about I’ve heard this song many times but I’ve never known what it was about
First time I heard this I was lying in a tanning bed. ( Yeah, that was the 90s.) I hated the Country Music the salon played and usually tuned it out or fell asleep. This one immediately caught me up and I squawled like a baby. I came out of that room with my head down sobbing. I was devastated how touched I was. After that day, all I have to do is hear the intro and the tears just start flowing. No crying, just water streaming out of my eyes. The local grocery store always plays Country music. I'd have waterworks in the frozen foods that turned into icicles. Every single time.....😢😢😢😭😭😭
Whenever y'all upload country songs, I'm just gonna have a shot of tequila ready before I click. Good God man!😂 Really touching song though
Make that a double.
I'm right there with you. Your comment made me laugh as I'm trying to clear something that got into both of my eyes.
@@michaelvondrake7489 Same !
That almost got me to tears. You boys would love Jim Croce. He tells a story for each song. Operator is my jam
Operator is my favorite Jim Croce song
Agree Jim Croce operator
That's a beautiful song there.
they got choked up during the last verse...they just didn't wanna show it
This is an older McGraw song. I saw him sing it in concert years ago & he put the words up & everyone was singing. It was a cool moment. I can’t hear it to this day without shedding tears....very touching....
Midland- Burn out, or drinkin problem... Respect what y'all do, and enjoy the vids! Cheers from Texas
For sure drinkin problem
Burn out always gets my attention.
Marty Robbins- Big Iron. great story in that song.
Fallout reference? 🤔🤔
@@brianmcalpine3948 I've known that song and El Paso from way back when. but yes, that song was used in that game.
Marty Robbins is one of my all time favorites!!!
My dad used to sing that song around the house. :)
Is like to see them do El Paso. I think they would like the way the lyrics are written.
If ya want a real tear jerker u should listen to “if your reading this” by Tim McGraw
Or Alyssa Lies by Jason michael Carroll
Hennekdndo that song gets me every time
Can't listen to "If You're Reading This". Nope Nope Nope. I turn it off.
Every time I hear this song on the radio in my truck, I have to pull over. Delivered entirely too many of these letters in my time.
Semper Fi!
This song. This freaking song...
It always makes me cry.
Love you guys!!! Always on point . Love to hear Johnny cash a boy
named sue
Scottie Fisk yes good call.
Also - Kenny Rogers - Coward of the County.
Some great story telling
Paternal grandfather calls my brother Sue because that song. My maternal grandfather called him Thomas. Apparently neither liked the name Kevin.
Boy Named Sue AND Coward of the County!!! My mind is blown......As James Earl Jones said in Field of Dreams..." Memories will be so thick...they will have to fan them away from their faces!!!" Dann it y'all!!!
Haha yeah I love that one!
Don't close your eyes by Keith Whitley! A country classic from the late 80s. Widely considered one of the best country songs ever!
I'm no stranger to the rain, ten feet away, when you say nothing at all, till a tear becomes a rose, I'm over you...
Great artist so much truth and soul in his voice
One of the best
one of the best country singers of all time.
Been trying to get them to do Keith for months. Thanks for throwing his name out too.
"The Dance" by Garth Brooks!!!
Thunder rolls!
Adri M hard to decide between these two, BOTH so good! Since Garth IS the top record sales ever, why not both?
Oh my Lord...the Dance.💔
Any Garth Brooks video will get flagged for copyright
You earned my entire respect when you saw the “dont take the girl” in an entire different prospective
The Dance Garth Brooks
More Garth!!!!!
That song is the best Garth tune. Shits not even fair how good the songwriting is on that one and I'm not a fan of 95% of country music
Unfortunately, you're not going to get the Garth Brooks studio version of the song because it's not allowed on RUclips. None of the studio versions on here are actually the Garth version.
Garths old record label is crazed about taking down every RUclips video they see of his without their permission. They have tried to do Garth, it's been taken down. You can see when you go on Paetron it will say when one gets taken down for copyright.
Yes that'd be a great one! Or "The River"...
Fishing in the dark by the Nitty Gritty Dirt band.
Yes!!! 😆
Thats a great song
LAURA'S WORLD yea that's my daughters favorite
That is so good! Yes!
Nitty Gritty, fishing in the dark that is great love it!
You should do a reaction to "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones
Yes, every time I hear it, I cry. Sometimes I have to change the station.
My grandpa listened to that song out in his workshop almost every day after my grandma passed away - he cried every time. Now they’re both in heaven together ❤️
My favorite
Yes!
I agree!
One of the best songs ever written!! You have to listen to his song " live like you were dying" then " george jones' he stopped loving her today".....!!!!!!
Randy Travis Deeper than the Holler if you would be so kind. Alan Jackson as a follow up. Dont take the girl is probably one of the first songs I heard on the radio that made me sad. Granted I was like 10 so I wasnt sure why but it still holds a place in my heart for that reason. Pretty clever little song.
As a quick aside for the Randy Travis suggestion (if you happen to read this) he had a massive stroke a few years back and lost the ability to speak. He has since worked fk get that back but they said he would never sing again which considering he had one of the most distinctive (and personally I think best) voices in country music it was quite a loss. A year or so ago he was put into the country hall of fame maybe (I might be wrong on that) he sang amazing grace for the first time in years. It's a very rough listen (read sad) if you heard him in his prime but amazing to see him try.
Dude!!! Love you guys. You're gonna miss this -trace Adkins
Chase Duckett I love that song!!!
Or "Marry for Money". I love the video for that song.
This song always hits me in my feels. Concrete angel by martina mcbride (i think) is another good country song.
Omg this song make my cry hard!!! Beautiful song!!!!!!
Or Independence Day
Damn, I cry everytime I hear this song.
Tracy Lawrence-Time Marches On and Paint Me a Birmingham.
Mike Savage YESS
Paint me a Birmingham!
Paint me a Bermingham

Yes do both haha. Same video I don't care.
John Anderson Seminole Wind
Yes..but straight Tequila Night is my fav.
1234 damn right that’s another good one!!!
Tequila night is definitely my favorite of his also swingin
Good damn song. 👌
Seminole Wind is a timeless, but very timely tune for when it was written. We have spent billions in Florida repairing the damage it took only millions to do. Nature is precious and must be respected.
I’m so glad they liked this song..! It has been a huge song in 20 years of marriage with 4 kids!! RIGHT ON!
Garret Hedlund --timing is everything from the movie country strong--great song
Amarillo by morning,by george strait.Great song!!!!!!
Ezekiel Everhart They already did that one my friend

Ain't got the blues
I saw it in your faces. The song affected you guys. You articulated it perfectly. If you watch the video, you see that Jonny’s wide survived childbirth and was with Johnny sr and Jonny Jr. fishing at 8 years old. This is mine and my wife’s favorite song. 25 Years married. You guys are great!
Randomly stumbled across this song on a road trip and cried for hours. It is one of the few country songs I can stand.
I'm still pushing for that Alan Jackson "Here in the Real World" great cover and one of my favorites he sung.
Here in the Real World isn't a cover. Alan Jackson was a co-writer.
Jessica Cobb Really? I didn’t know that
Jessica Cobb I knew that George Jones singed it I just assumed it was his original
Yeah, George Jones sang it after. It does have that old feel to it, though. Great song!
Man this takes me WAY back. I mean back twenty something years ago going on horseback rides with the whole family. 90s country had a sappy sound at times but it's so nostalgic for me.
C'mon guys. Do another obscure one:
The Ocean - Mesopelagic: Into the Uncanny
There's plenty of music I don't necessarily like, BUT it flashes me back in time so that's what's cool
One of my favorite songs of all time. I cant get through this song without tears. I did this song for my family when I was younger and everyone in the house was crying when it was over.
This song has always made me cry.
Its a Great Day to Be Alive by Travis Tritt
Tell me I was dreaming. Foolish Pride. Hard to choose.
One of the greatest country story telling songs EVER! The Little Girl, John Micheal Montgomery.
Sarah Skov yes yes yes yes yes
I cry every time i hear this since i was a little girl.
This song kills me...I cry every single time! Beautiful!
Excellent choice. This was my mom’s absolute favorite song and will always make me have found memories of her. Tim McGraw married country royalty in Faith Hill. They have a few really beautiful songs together but I would recommend It’s Your Love. Extremely beautiful and touching.
That's probably their best duet, honestly. They sound so great together!
Martina McBride- Independence Day, Concrete Angel, God's Will. Great songs. Rascal Flatts- I'm Moving On. Marc Broussard- Home.
Hard die Rascal Flatts fan
They've done Martina McBride Independence Day.
Rascal Flatts? 😂😂😂😂 hell no
Gotta second Marc Broussard. That white man has soul.
Oh yeah Tim McGraw is heartbreaker. I love when y'all get real still and quiet so you don't have to cry.
This song makes me cry. Love the song.
Tears every time I hear this song! Love Tim but I skip this song every time because of the tears.
Its that last verse that gets me everytime 😢 great song
G10VANN1 TH3 G35 FAN every time without fail!
yup. tears, every time. 😢❤️
Yeah this one is tough for me too, it was probably the worst song in the world to hear when my wife was pregnant.
At work just trying to keep my self together
All these years later and I can’t hear this without tearing up 😭
This song was written by a very good friend of mine named Craig Martin. Jimmy Johnson Tommy Thompson and Bo were all three his best friends and they all lived in a small town just south of Wheeling, West Virginia named McMechen. This song is really about his daughter’s mother
Every time I hear this song I cry. Damn, I haven't heard this in almost 10 years and it got me again. I don't even like country or listen to it but sometimes there are certain songs that get you.
fight the crying guys ... fight it ... hold it lol. i hadn't heard this song in years and just now got teary eyed
PLEASE do another Tim McGraw song “Live Like You Were Dying.” It’s such an amazing song
Yes!!! Absolutely!!! Please!!!
How did you post this comment 2 weeks ago if this game out today?????!???!
YES!
holguialex I’m a magician
@@holguialex I'd bet early access to patrons is how he got to see it so early.
may my mother Rest In Peace.. this was her favorite song..
This is every sappy country song of the late 90s to late 2000s. Super emotional pop songs about growing up, loss, and change of perspective. There goes my life by Kenny Chesney immediately comes to mind.
I'm not a big fan of country music but... you guys are sooo right about story telling and how they weave around the lyrics.... guess I should say that I'm not a big fan YET.... I'll get there.. Great choice of the song and thanks to the fan that requested it.
I love how y’all will try to listen to everything😁do Alan Jackson midnight in Montgomery.love your channel,George is hilarious, makes me laugh every video❤️
Love that song
Great song! But, unless you're really familiar with all the background that is alluded to, it won't mean much. It's the same with George Jones's "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?". If you're not well-versed in Country music history, you miss out on the true power of the lyrics.
I’m a hip hop head but heard this song when I was in the Navy and loved it ever since. Props to you guys for doing this and for your honesty. You got yourselves a new subscriber
I think every person should and deserve to feel this way about a person in their life. It's an amazing feeling.
Another great song with a perfect story is "He didn't have to be" by Brad Paisley. I truly think yall will like it
Lori McKinney yes!!!! I was just thinking about that song today!
Lori McKinney amazing song.
Lori McKinney One of my favorite songs of all time.
When I was introduced to my wife she did not even live in this country. The First time I called her she hung up on me. She said she was embarrassed of her English and that is why she did that.
She waited a month before she told me she had two kids. She was afraid I would turn around and run, well I did not.
I flew to the Philippines and we got married.
When I got back home I was talking to a coworker how I was going to send money to my wife and kids. They said why are you sending money they are not your kids. That was the wrong answer I chewed him out and said yes they are. I call them my kids and they call me dad.
We have been married now for 13 years and have five kids together. So now we have four girls and three boys.
I am so glad she gave me the job.
Oh no you didn't..
@@MrGelroos1337 :) I most certainly did

I love Tim McGraw, this is one of my favorite songs & again yall with the sad mopey music lol 🖤
Another great Tim McGraw song is "My Little Girl"
Vince Gill “Go Rest High on that Mountain”
I have been binge watching you for hours. I genuinely appreciate how open minded you guys are. A sick beat is a sick beat, great lyrics are great lyrics and you've introduced me to some music I would otherwise not have heard.
Can't wait for more!
This song gets me everytime
Me too......
Gents, I want to see you guys really cry over a song. John Michael Montgomery's "The Little Girl" will give you the chills and make you shed some tears. I've listened to this song for years and have even sung it a time or two, and it chokes me up every single time.
I think you guys are doing a great job at reacting to country music.
This song got me back into country music when I was in college. I'm a sucker for a great, story-driven ballad...as well as a tragic love story. What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic at heart. This song stabs me in the heart every time I hear it.
I'm always impressed with how you all interpret these songs! You all are always spot on with interpreting the song/videos.
This Cowboys Hat by Chris LeDoux... Please and thank you Gentlemen...
Would absolutely love this too. (Even after I just posted about them needing to give the slow ones a break and pop in some upbeat ones)
Old country I love it! Sadly I feel like mainstream country now has gotten away from its roots! This generation doesn't remember what real country is!
Great choice. Would love to see their reaction to it.
YESSSS!!! They should also react to "The Guitar" by Guy Clark. Both songs are kinda similar to each other.
j1980boy1 they need to do some chris! I don't care what but this Cowboys hat, silence on the line, hooked on an 8 second ride, bareback jack hell just throw a dart and you'll hit a good LeDoux song
Please check out "There Goes My Life" Kenny Chesney

This is so refreshing.
Gotta do Gary Allen "Smoke Rings In The Dark"
Yes that song is the best and he wrote as a teenager and it still holds up.
His cover of Best I Ever Had is also good. And heart-breaking, considering why he covered the song.

Alan Jackson - "Remember When"
