This is one of the most versatile bands and underrated bands. They're way more than just a country band. They've done covers of Bohemian Rhapsody, Devil Went Down To Georgia, Enter Sandman. Plus Zac is one of the most consistent songwriters in a long time. Amazing band overall.
It's always great when a musician can break the boundaries of genres isn't it !!! Its like everyone is so focused on being something in the industry rather than transcending lables and just creating
They can do it all 😂 just listen to chicken fried and then this or even my old man. And then listen to knee deep. And then another slower one. And then castaway. And then homegrown. Sooooo many different variants it just keeps you want more from them
Everytime I hear the end of that song it reminds me of when I was out to sea and I would think of my wife when he says, "When I close my eyes I see you, no matter where I am, I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines" Used to get me choked up thinkin of my wife and daughter back in Georgia.
Zac Brown Band - Highway 20 Ride. Hits even harder than this one. Randy Travis - Three Wooden Crosses is the epitome of country storytelling. Garth Brooks is simply one of the best musicians ever born, I'd love your take on If Tomorrow Never Comes, All-American Kid, or Mom.
I second the request for Highway 20 ride but I'm conflicted. I want them to also hear the lighthearted, almost comical ZBB as well, not just the sappy shit. Garth would be awesome but I imagine that's patreon only, he/his recording companies dont play around with copyright.
Y'all should do Highway 20 ride next. That's my personal favorite. Sweet Annie has some top notch vocal harmonizing Toes is just a fun, easy, listenable song. The pop country equivalent of a "banger" "Heavy is the Head" features Chris Cornell from Soundgarden/Audioslave.
This one gives me chills. I love the group harmony reminiscent of the Eagles. You should listen to Highway 20 Ride from Zac Brown Band. It's one of my favorites and will tug at the heartstrings.
ruclips.net/video/fZQmURV5Lw8/видео.html The guys that helped write it explain it here and it's not about addiction, its about a woman and a snow storm in green bay
Zac barely participated in the writing of this song. The guys who wrote almost all of it say it's about just how difficult it is to maintain a relationship while being on the road. The drug addiction thing is an urban myth.
ZBB has it all. You want Bluegrass- "sick em on a chicken" You want Vocal harmonies "I'll be your man" You want Rock "heavy in the head" You want Pop "beautiful drug" You want 50s Swing "Mango Tree" You want Todays Country "Chicken Fried" You want Reggae "Island Song" You want collaborations with young artist "I shall be released" from their live album(not on youtube) You want Love making Jazz "Overnight" You want one of the greatest Jam songs created "Who Knows"
I always saw the "colder weather" as the man's battle with depression or addiction or mental illness. He wants her, but he's not able to have her right now, but he hopes to have her in the future. Idk I could be reading too much into it...
Clemjohn, I think you nailed it. As a combat vet, I tend to see things through the filter of PTSD, which can encompass all three of those factors ... "stuck in colder weather" to me was a metaphor for "I'm not in a place where you can be with me right now and hopefully tomorrow I will be in a better place emotionally. IMHO.
@@javalina68 thanks for your service brother. I'm currently on the Army. No combat yet, but I feel for you guys and the things you may have seen or had to do. I'll put you in my prayers brother.
You guys are doing all my favorites lately. The BEST part of country is when someone is a gifted writer and just lays out a beautiful story for you. Nearly all of Zac Brown Band’s songs contain genuinely good writing. This is just one of their bests. Stoked you guys are doing these songs, even more stoked you love them! Y’all are seriously dope! Never stop reviewing/reacting, like ever 🙌🏻
Quick note Zac is a great songwriter, but he only had a tiny part in writing this. Wyatt Durrette and Levi Lowrey wrote it and brought it to the band where Zac and other band members pitched in.
They can't do Garth, homie has his music on lock! Copyright restrictions..and Garth has people patrolling everywhere...in fact...I've said to much already....😂😂😂
Another metal fan here - like George and Ryan, it's my first time I've ever heard of this band - I appreciate them going in blind on this one, I love it when LiV take a chance on something like they did here. This song isn't quite my style, but I can also appreciate where it's coming from, and there's definitely nothing wrong with it (just because it's not my thing, doesn't mean it did anything wrong!)
Aaron A. Foster yer I heard his covers of them already. Just another reason that I like them. Got a few people into them including my wife who is more into pop then anything else
I can't stand Sweet Annie. It's the same song as Colder Weather and I hate lazy writing. They're very talented people and I'm sure the similarity is an artistic choice, like maybe 'Colder Weather Part 2: Happy Ending'? I just can't get past it though.
Just wanna say before i watch I’m super exciting about this one lol oh and try Luke Combs “when it Rains It Pours” or “Hurricane” or “One Number Away” Pleeeeaasse!!
Damn good song. They've got a lot more upbeat stuff that'll have you wishing you had a beer in your hand. I'd love to hear Travis Tritt- Here's A Quarter. Promise y'all will enjoy it!
Zac Brown Band is a full band. They have many good songs. I think Chicken Fried was their first. Its great. A really fun one is the one they did with Jimmy Buffet - Knee Deep. But I think my favorite Zac Brown Band did is "Free". But you have to find the extended and complete version. The instrumentals are awesome. Especially the Violin at the intro. Somewhere in the song, there is a complete change where it merges into another song, then back. It is too awesome. Their talent is showcased for sure in "Free" I think it may be found under Free - Into the Mystic version. Just checked. I cannot find the recorded version on you tube. But the Austin City Limits live show recording is on you tube and it is the closest to the recorded version. Some of the live versions get lost in the noise of the crowd and just does not give the performance justice. Austin City Limits live show is a good one.
Guys, this was a beautiful song. My brother loves country music and I tease him about it. But, there are some beautiful and great songs and musicians. A good song is a good song no matter the genre.
As a country boy, I truly appreciate your channel. Keep it going guys, and might I suggest a Randy Travis song. Any. But specifically "he walked on water". I think you'll really enjoy the story and damn that man can sing
You know what I like about you guys? I love that you enjoy music and you're willing to listen to different types but I also like that you teach us about music. I like the ZacBrown Band. Have you heard of Shaver? Georgia on a Fast Train is a great song. George Thorogood or Stevie Ray Vaughn? I love the guitars in all of them. Thanks for sharing.
Another great reaction! I heard Zac say in an interview recently that this is probably his favorite song that he’s written, especially the “born for leaving” aspect and how relatable that is. I think you guys would enjoy “Goodbye In Her Eyes” - harmonies are incredible
I couldn't click fast enough when I saw this video in my sub box. ZBB is literally my favorite. I've seen them 5 times in concert. Colder Weather is one of, if not their best song ever. Other great ZBB songs: Highway 20 Ride, Free, Dress Blues, Jolene, Martin, Day for the Dead. Just to name a few, but there's so many great songs these guys have. EDIT: Also, that's them harmonizing in the song. They harmonize alot.
OMG I have been binge watching you two for hours today. I was raised on country music but love all music genres. I LOVE your reactions to music especially country and it reminds me why I love these songs. Keep doing what you’re doing it’s awesome!!!! ❤️😘❤️
For ZBB lyrics, you should really review "As She's Walking Away". It features country legend Alan Jackson on vocals. The audio alone is enough, but the video is also brilliant.
There’s so much depth to country music lyrics. I don’t listen to it much, but always marvel at the beautiful story telling. I wish other genre’s could succeed with that style of lyric writing.
wow i was at work today and i heard a zac brown song on the radio, and i thought it would be cool to hear lost in vegas react to to a zac brown. My thoughts just became reality lol. Zac Brown Band is one of the most skilled bands ever. They actually do Metallica covers live and they are great.
Im so glad you guys enjoyed Zac Brown Band. Y'all should check out more, I imagine if a country band is gonna make the playlist this will be the one. They're so dynamic, span alot of genres while always keeping it country. And Fun Fact: ZBB's lead guitarist, Clay Cook, and John Mayer moved out to Atlanta together when they were young and started playing bars as Lo-Fi Masters.
To me this song hits home, I think of the 'colder weather' aspect as more of a mental illness thing. I personally had left my current girlfriend in the past because I was in a bad place with depression, so I think of that as the colder weather... We're together again but whenever I hear this song, I think of that.
*TRAVIS TRITT* "Anymore"... if you like Chris Stapleton and those "Ray Charles style" vocals, you guys will LOVE Travis Tritt. This particular suggestion he doesn't do as many runs but he does have that ability. He's definitely a Free Thinker also.
This Channel: When you wanna hear good music with your woman, but also have a reaction/opinion from men of a different culture. This is a "laying in bed with my wife, having a beer, and chillin in the evening" channel. Y'all keep doin your thing! Great channel. Puts you back in touch with humanity. Bringing us together! 🍻
OHHHHH BOI, yall GOTSTA do more Zac Brown Band. So many bangers, keep me in mind, sweet annie, chicken fried, knee deep, higway 20 ride, all of them!! I had the chills as soon as is saw you guys put this one up.
One of my favorite things on you tube is watching you guys discover songs I love and give us the “damn!” Always so satisfying. Zac Brown Band especially early stuff is so good, and by far one of the most musically talented group of any genre of any time.
I watched the video and in the comments he was asked about the song. He said it is about his sister and her husband stuck on drugs. The colder weather is the drugs.
Amy Stevenson Come To Papa would be a good one for them to start with! You have to figure they have heard the obvious ones like Old Time Rock'n Roll or Hollywood Nights or even Night Moves. You know they have heard Like A Rock!
Zach Brown I agree. Like a Rock is my fav! I’m 40 so to me Seger was kinda the voice of America when I was growing up in the south. We’ve got tonight is good or accompany me. Main Street even. I would just love to see their reaction to anything seger they haven’t heard!!!! I have this crush on mr Ryan there he is so awesome when he analysis songs!!!! I so appreciate it as a psych major!!! One of my top favorite channels!!! My sis and I just joined patreon cause we can’t wait 😊

Have you checked out his electronic side project Sir Roosevelt? Pretty interesting
They are amazing and this song is so sweet. I kinda think they picked up where Diamond Rio left off. And they are excellent collaborators...
They can do it all 😂 just listen to chicken fried and then this or even my old man. And then listen to knee deep. And then another slower one. And then castaway. And then homegrown. Sooooo many different variants it just keeps you want more from them
Couldnt agree more
Toes - Zac Brown Band. It's a more upbeat and summer time song about just getting away and having a good time. 10/10 recommend
Everytime I hear the end of that song it reminds me of when I was out to sea and I would think of my wife when he says, "When I close my eyes I see you, no matter where I am, I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines" Used to get me choked up thinkin of my wife and daughter back in Georgia.
More Zac Brown Band please
Highway 20 ride by zac brown band. Heart strings man!! Oh the feels!!
If you want more Zak Brown though "Free" is my personal favorite of theirs.
Aaron Clapper Hell yea...Free was my wedding song 👍👍
Free with the full intro is one of those songs that give me goosebumps just thinking about it!
Definitely one of their best!
Free is my favorite as well. I really love when he does Free/Into The Mystic when he's in concert. Love ZBB!!
Matt Holmes that's the one I used for my wedding. Epic song
As someone with depression, the lyrics also work really well for being in a deep rut while also in a relationship
Shermanator92 3 wooden crosses today still chokes me up. Dang I wish we had the good country back
Shermanator92 Garth Brooks doesn't have any of his music on streaming services or RUclips last time I checked sadly
Luis the Googan Amazon Music is the only place I know of.
That song breaks my heart every single time I hear it...grew up in a broken family....it just speaks to my soul.
Sweet Annie has some top notch vocal harmonizing
Toes is just a fun, easy, listenable song. The pop country equivalent of a "banger"
"Heavy is the Head" features Chris Cornell from Soundgarden/Audioslave.
For sure! Go Vols!
Yes yes yes
Sweet Annie Harmonies are out of this world.
“I play the road” is a good song too

This one gives me chills. I love the group harmony reminiscent of the Eagles. You should listen to Highway 20 Ride from Zac Brown Band. It's one of my favorites and will tug at the heartstrings.

Great and funny song
Goodbye in her eyes by Zac Brown band. I think you guys will like that one a lot. It's a great one
Jamie Chowning fantastic song with great harmonies.
From what I have read, this was written about Zack’s brothers struggle with addiction. The colder weather is the struggle.
ruclips.net/video/fZQmURV5Lw8/видео.html
The guys that helped write it explain it here and it's not about addiction, its about a woman and a snow storm in green bay
You're 100% correct
Zac barely participated in the writing of this song. The guys who wrote almost all of it say it's about just how difficult it is to maintain a relationship while being on the road. The drug addiction thing is an urban myth.
Zac Brown Band - Highway 20 ride.
You’re welcome.

The song that made me fall in love with them. Hits home hard.
God, that song makes me cry So hard! Poor Dad! Poor kid! But, he has someone who cares!
“Letters from home” is hands down one o the best all time in my opinion. Some of the best storytelling I’ve ever heard in a song
Attack Helicopter
Great song 👍🏼

Exactly how I interpret it
Same I always thought that as well! Cold Weather is the depression.
Please do more Zac Brown band!
I'm not a big country fan, but I like this band a lot. They put on a great concert too. Another personal favorite from them is "Highway 20 Ride".
b2ick wall dude, as someone who grew up in a split household going to see my dad every other weekend that song hits me right in the feels every time.
Yes! They put on a hell of a show. They’re actually musicians. They all swapped instruments and played at the show I went to in Biloxi Mississippi

"Jolene" is also an excellent song

Highway 20 Ride. All the way. Y’all NEED to hear that.
Highway 20 ride is amazing, I would also recommend Troubadour by George Strait.

Zac Brown is still new to country for me, only within the last 10 yrs has he been around, but I love his stuff. He's gifted!
You should do seven spanish angels by Willie Nelson and Ray Charles.
One of the greatest ballads ever written.
I absolutely love this song and actually ended up crying when Chris Stapleton and Dwight Yoakum covered it at the CMAs
Melissa Dove I Agree!!!!
I believe they have. go to their channel's home page and scroll back about 4-6 months and you should be able to find it.
I like Jamey Johnson and Allison Krauss’ version they sang for Willie.
I think you two would love, "I Believe" by Brooks and Dunn. Full of soul and an incredible message...
Robin Smith I agree.... that's one of those songs u FEEL
That's one of those songs u FEEL
Yes! I think they would really like it!
Wish they did this one instead of neon moon
yes!
To me this song hits home, I think of the 'colder weather' aspect as more of a mental illness thing. I personally had left my current girlfriend in the past because I was in a bad place with depression, so I think of that as the colder weather... We're together again but whenever I hear this song, I think of that.
Can you guys please do a reaction to battle rapper Mickey facts freestyle on funk flex....
Walk A Little Straighter by Billy Currington. This is a real tear jerker. I think y'all will like it
*TRAVIS TRITT* "Anymore"... if you like Chris Stapleton and those "Ray Charles style" vocals, you guys will LOVE Travis Tritt. This particular suggestion he doesn't do as many runs but he does have that ability. He's definitely a Free Thinker also.
Aaron A. Foster , absolutely the most painful first line of a song, ever.
Randy Travis Diggin up Bones
Chicken fried, highway 20 ride, toes, there are countless good songs from them
I love me some Zac Brown Band.
Great video guys. My request for Zac Brown would absolutely be Highway 20 Ride.
Zac Brown...toes, Knee Deep, Highway 20 ride, My Old Man, Chicken Fried OMG! So many good ones.
Sherry Leece we can just keep going on and on. I literally can listen to every album front to back.
Whiskey Myers- Frogman,Broken Window Serenade, or Early Morning Shakes. More of a southern rock mixed with country.
You need to do Heavy is the Head featuring Chris Cornell. Also, do Soilwork!
One of my favorite things on you tube is watching you guys discover songs I love and give us the “damn!” Always so satisfying. Zac Brown Band especially early stuff is so good, and by far one of the most musically talented group of any genre of any time.
Literally any Zac Brown Band song. You're welcome. His voice is perfect, listen to their live stuff. It's even better than studio
“Don’t take the girl” by Tim McGraw, another amazing and classic storytelling song
Absolute classic. Almost can't stand it because I was a child with a radio in the 90s but that doesn't take away how great a song it is.
This song was about a woman who died, and he left before she passes. The waitres reminded him of her. And he goes back to missing his sweetheart.
I've always thought this based upon the last part. Thanks for confirming it!
From what I have read this was written about Zac’s brother and his battle with addiction.
When they shot the video, it really seemed that the girl in the song passed away.
I watched the video and in the comments he was asked about the song. He said it is about his sister and her husband stuck on drugs. The colder weather is the drugs.
and that's what's great about music.. take it as you need to.
Another awesome video!!!!! Love u guys!!!
Bob Seger Please!!! Ryyyyyann 😘
