One of the most drool worthy rigs out there. Can't get enough of this build.
I wish I had the money to get my 4runner to this stage!
MarcosArg I wish I had enough money to even get a 4 runner
This is surely drool worthy. Have watched it 5 times and the drool gets worse each time. Beautiful
Cory Bechtold check the rigs in cape york
This truck looks sweet, but no sense spending the money on a TRD Pro when you're going to modify it to that extent.
same thought
If you have the money..why not?..
At the point of money spent on upgrades , the TRD package is not a concern ....lol
Very true. Perhaps at first he didn't consider modifying it.
Bro... all I take is a Walmart dry ice chest and maybe some bobbers for my rod and a gallon of water.....
More fun that way
00' Tacoma 300,330 miles with a toolbox, lunchbox, and a fishing pole as well.
So basically you go out for a day or two. Other considerations need to take place for 2-4 week trips.
Have to steal the quote " anything worth doing, is worth over doing ". I'm a Jeep guy but this is one sick rig.
Raul Quintero I'm a jeep guy myself, but gotta give credit where credits due haha
Robert Howell different people like different trucks
Can you post all the mods so i can sell my house and get this?
LOL
James Simpson 😂😂😂
Every once in a while a comment on RUclips makes me laugh out loud and spit all over my screen. This is one of those times. *wipes screen*
Was thinking the same thing, except I don't have a house. Anyone wonder what it costs?
This is prolly more than my house
wow...this guy utilized every available inch of space...and it is seamless and efficient....I know people say there's always room for improvement, but it would be very difficult to improve the setup of this rig...absolutely immaculate rig..
exactly what I'm looking to do with my 17 4runner. total chaos long travel. beautiful build.
This has to be the best outfit rig I’ve ever seen excellent job.
Such a joy to finally see the rig "up close" Congrats on the truck and looking forward to new projects/ideas as your rig progresses. Bravo sir.
I've been on the rabbit hole watching these kind of videos for a while now, this is by far the best overland rig that is not an actual RV.
This guy has put alot of thought into his build not just money. Dude is smart.
WoW this is the most Overloading video I've even watched in my entire life.
love how fire supression was memtioned, I pulled up to an accident scene in Grand Junction CO where the car was in flames and I was the only person with a fire extingisher until emergency arrived.
Ther's people who love simple rig and then there's this guy. Not my kind of setup but you can't help but be impressed by this.
Forget just an overland rig, this might be the coolest (and most useful) truck on the road. This was one of the best videos I've seen on RUclips in a while.
One thing though - get that dog a nicer cage! lol
Love it! Makes me want to trade my Tacoma for a 4Runner
Lawndart being one of the other original inferno TRD Pros on the 4Runner forum and talking to you in depth while getting my build sorted out as we and a few others where the first with the Pro. It is good to see how everything came together. I havent seen what you did for at least over a year. I slowed down as I am hesitant since with a service dog that I may have to change my platform, if I decide to keep her I will do more as my FJ was setup the same with the TC as you have. Anyways looks good bud.
Lawn Dart's rig is spot on. I look at his runner and get inspired of what I want to do with my taco.
REALLY really want to know final dollar cost of this build. Basically so I can know how many decades it'll take to save for it..
Im guessing without the cost of the car, just the upgrades and the trailer i would say 80k -100k.
I'm a complete noob to off-road and have infinite things to do but this rig is so beyond my goals it's amazing
Bryce Anderson This setup is cool when money is no option. You can easily set your 4x4 up for overland travel and easily stay out for a month no problem. I can pack my Adventure touring motorcycle and stay out for a few weeks easily, so you don't need all this gear to enjoy a great over landing trip!
Great review! Thanks Issac!
That’s probably the coolest 4Runner I have ever seen
That rig is sweet!!!! Thanks for sharing this.
Totally sick set up! Very cool!
That's one well kitted 4Runner... And that trailer earned my respect from Expedition Overland.
Oh man this build is AMAZING
awesome video, that Toyota looks awesome
Don’t apoligize for being OCD, when the ___t hits the fan, we are the ones that have necessary items in order to help. Rock On !!!
What an amazing setup.
This is the best looking front bumper I have yet to see for this gen of 4runner. If anyone has a suggestion for better I would like to see. Have a friend that has a 2014.
Wow amazing truck and one of your best showcases
Majorly cool build. Ah to have money.
Very nice! Thanx for the video tour. Extremely envious here!
I have a sneaking suspicion that this rig has spent more time on instagram versus dirt.
I feel like you are correct
To be fair, if his OCD goes towards keeping things tidy, he'll scrub any and all dirt traces outta rig until it's shinier than an 8 ball.
I has a 2010 4Runner trail. Loved it now I'm driving a 2015 Tundra Crewmax. Would love to do a build like this. Five stars.......
Top notch rig you there! Could you please provide more info on the front and back custom bumpers? Thank you 🙏
I just went from 6 to midnight!! Sweet ride 👍🏿
This is a beautiful rig.
Amazing build enjoy it. You have to really committed to put this kind of scratch into a vehicle. Great look
Man, you guys need to check out the MSA brand drop slides we have here in Australia that has been out for quite a while... But we do need those rigs here, id have one in a second. Love this !!!!
Dude, I live in Portland too! That is my absolute DREAM 4runner.
I'm currently in the process of outfitting my.... (drum roll please),
2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R for overlanding. I would LOVE to possibly meet up at some point and shoot the shit about the rigs and receive some outfitting wisdom. I'm only 21 years old, so there is MUCH to still be learned.
Just today, I installed my ARB 12v High Performance Compressor, and just about ready to put in my custom 3" suspension & body lift, so it's coming along steadily.
Anyway, fantastic video and awesome vehicle!
That's a nice set up!
4 runners are so sick
I miss my 1985 solid axle 4Runner rig, should have never sold it. Working on a similar Landcruiser and a friend has a 70's Ford Bronco. Got Dad's old International Scout in the back of the garage too, he beat the hell out it though.
ayeee i live in oregon to. i love this state. im looking to completely redo build my 94 ford explorer sport
Dude this rig is awesome!!!
This is the most intense/complete build ever.
My husbands dream car but so expensive , so we got the sr5 instead. He is modifying it with our needs and so far so good!
Just posted my Overland West Expo video with you in it!
Great video and awesome rig.. love the build. I also have that bumper on my pro.. where did you get the toyota emblem??
what a great build!
Awesome intro! love the rig.
This is dedication man wow
Wow! What a rig...
As an Australian, i like seeing all the ARB products :)
Hear, hear!!
It's close to race suspension but not that close. Having the bypasses and reservoirs helps prevent shock fade.
Can someone explain the point of purchasing a TRD Pro, which is an off-road suspension package, then taking it to a shop and have all of those special components removed and replacing them with all new/different components?
That’s why I recommend getting the cheaper trd offroad and modding it
dirt every day takes a stock one and goes over some trail no problem
More money then sense.
E lockers and a-track is what people mainly want
That's why I bought the TRD off-road and did the mods the way I wanted. TRD pro in my opinion is for anyone who is Not going to be changing anything
fascinating build
Yeahhhh! Lawndart rig!!!
Dream 4Runner
would love this build on any off road vehicle.
WOW!!! I want one!!!
Great video. Killer build!
What is that you have on the hood scoop? I've been looking around for something to put on it to reduce the glare.
Not sure what he used, I used bed liner.
hey man, rig looks killer :) im in vancouver canada, just wondering where you got that mount for your front plate...
Awesome job on 4runner.
Nice! I thought I put too much into my 80, but this guy... wow. (80 is dead BTW, starter, what a PITA) 3630
It's just fantastic....
Alex Barscheski I was looking for this comment)
I love those grills on anything but a 4runner. I just love that aggressive stock look, so I'd go for one of the front center panel replaced for winch, light and a small brush bar.
Otherwise really figging this vehicles.
Great looking build
oh please !
This is a awesome rig
This is just awesome....
By far one of the coolest overlander vids
Really nice rig man!
Nice 4Runner
Amazing Rig
Also an Amazing You Tube Channel
Damn!....big drool!
who makes the front license plate mount?
Awesome rig i'm drooling lol
12:12😂😂 That look
Very nice rig and with your trailer...
How do you manage with the trailer on very narrow trails with another vehicle
Coming your way...does it back up well?
Great video as usual ,one thing how do people secure there gear from theft on the outside ,been looking for solutions for a while and non are satisfying.thx
Nothing is foolproof unfortunately. Keep your rig in view, and don't' leave it in a ghetto. Securely mounted Pelicans with locks will offer some resistance. Lock your gas cans.
Great video awesome rig enjoyed the dialogue, you just need to improve the audio quality and you'll have it all nailed.
Such a sick rig. We are busy doing a overloading trip through Africa atmbut in a Hilux. We don't get the this and the Thundra here which is such a pity.
I love the build. Can you tell me how you mounted your Hi Lift Jack to your bumper? Thank You!
Great rig!
I just put a Magnuson supercharger on my new 4runner, and when people ask my favorite, or best overland mod, i always say the supercharger.. I transforms the 4Runne to what it was meant to be.. I now dino at basically 350hp to the tires (almost 100hp gained).. I can now pass on highways, even when fully loaded for overlanding, and can do technical rock crawling and get over obstacles at lower RPMs, so it has made my average MPG better.. It only increases MPGG used uf you have a heavy boot.. I highly recommend it to anyone with 6 grand to spend on an engine mod... Magnuson and TRD made it together, so it bolts on and aside from need minor calibration, your rigs computer knows what to do when it's plugged in, and requires no other mods
Edit: Why spend extra on the TRD Pro if you were modding it?.. I went with the TRD Off Road for the KDSS and bought the Pro grill myself lol.. I saved a lot of money
what is that type of metal grill is that and can i put it on a 2016 tacoma
Lots of interesting vehicle tuners here in Abq NM.
Although this must be making 5mpg, it's impossible not to love this beauty
Isaac, how are the wires ran for the lighting on the top in the rear or the rig?
One of the best overland vehicles I've ever seen, not over done!
Looks cool
Bad ass build!
What a set up !....awesome
How do you get into the trailer tent? Is there a ladder?
I have that cover on my pick up truck good luck trying to get through it.
No mention of the rear suspension setup? I assume either Metal tech LT with custom kings or Just springs and king shocks??
Nice rig!
Nice set up. You are now officially the poster boy for everything that is wrong with overlanding. I'm right there with you however lol
