  • In a historic achievement, Prabhranjan, a resident of Chennai, has secured the top spot in the highly anticipated NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), the nationwide medical entrance exam. Scoring a perfect 720, Prabhranjan has become the first Tamilian to accomplish this feat since the test was made compulsory in 2017. The state of Tamil Nadu has been a vocal opponent of the NEET entrance exam, having passed bills twice to exclude medical seats in the state from its purview.
    Know why here.

if TN is so concerned about student's life and suicides, they should first prioritize creating spaces for a good learning environement, improve teaching standards, teaching students to know the importance of facing success and failure and how to move on to the next phase of their life with an ambitious plan. Its also important to appoint career counsellors in schools to let students know their capabilities and skillsets to get into the right profession. There are several fields now and its important for all students to have a good clarity in their choice to pursue their professional education, and not get trapped by the word 'scope' which eventually pushes them to take up either engineering or medicine.

Tamilnadu education board is better than other state boards ! And Chennai is the health capital of India it was achieved without neet !

@@balamuralikrishnan9529 if education board is better then nothing wrong in having neet exam. Infact this year top ranks from neet are from TN only. Politicians want to play their games that's it.

If you want to ban neet..then take all private colleges under govt custody. Private colleges played major roll in this protest.. Government needs to understand that education and medical must free for its citizens. Wherever private steps into the business... that's a business only.. Money is the only mission... Public must be ready against those central and state government for private education and public health..

    Neet questions are so easy.
You just need accuracy and speed.
Are students of TN weak in these basic concepts?
Actually numbers of students that what make this paper tough
But as 85% seats are reserved for state quota i think neet exam is good bcz numbers of students hailing from that state will be same so koi bhi exam conduct karwa agar easy karogo toh sabke liye hoga.
Waise bhi paper easy hote jaa raha hain.
