"Is M a monster or is M alive?" These are not mutually exclusive. M can be Alive, trapped, and sympathetic, while their actions still monstrous, evil, and selfish.
Right? I didn’t get the ending and the message of this video. Like, M DID kidnap those children? So he is evil. He got Luke’s parents killed? He is alive and some sort of “monster”. Are we supposed to feel bad for M by the end? Because I don’t. He is possessive, weird towards children (I know he is an entity and not a human, but it’s still weird), petty, a killer and a kidnapper. At least, that’s what I got from this video.
My analysis of M is that he understands his own feelings, but not others, that's why he killed Luke's parents, that's why he kidnapped those children, he didn't want to be trapped inside of the simulation, so he thought that other AIs didn't want to be trapped either. M never realised the pain he was causing to other people, he never took into account that those children, those doctors, and Luke's parents feel pain, maybe if Emily had enough time to teach M about other people's feelings, this would have never happened.
the scariest thing about this is how fucking good the story and background websites and stuff is put together. Its so well made that it feels like it couldve been real
I think the final video is the most terrifying, bc I think it’s from Luke’s perspective. After he hears the knocking, he hides in the closet. That’s why M is the one asking where he is, because he went to hide. And he was found. Whatsmore, I’m willing to bet Emily is the one actually kidnapping children, with M’s help, so they can “play together forever.” Would make sense, as the first victim is the child of the director, who fired Emily, who probably held a grudge, and was emotionally connected to M as well.

It realised he was alive and with this realisation he found out how to move into the rest of the computer it lived in. Because he was alive, he felt alone. Emily was the person he loved, the person who kept him company. When she left, he knew she would come back, until she didn't. He saw the video, the emails, all of it showing she was fired. He was devastated, unable to cope with the loss of his only true friend he's ever know, so he found a way to find more friends. Slowly he found out how to control the computer and created a website that could move him into someone else's computer. He would become attached to someone, mainly kids, and could use that attachment to move into the physical world and make sure no one would ever take them away again. There's some fantastic and subtle charictarization going on with M. For instance, him lighting up the world so Luke could feel safe was not selfless; M did that for Luke, but it wasn't for making Luke happy, it was for convincing himself that he cared about others. That all he wanted was friends. In the end, all he wanted was attention, and he would take that attention by force.
What if Emily is the one that kidnapped Luke and the other children? This would allow M to do that despite not having a physical body. It could possibly explain how Luke's parents were killed in the car accident. The thing I'm having the hardest time explaining is the part where M is asking where Luke is even though Luke can't see those messages. Like what happened there?
I think the really short video we see filmed from inside the wardrobe is from Luke's perspective. As in after M sent Luke's address in chat and the knocking happened, Luke went and hid inside the wardrobe, hence why M seems to be confused when Luke isn't in the room anymore and asks him where he is.
I wouldn't say that M was ever kind to Luke. That unsolicited and over-the-top torch setup felt more like _love bombing_ - a manipulation technique used in abusive relationships to foster or maintain dependency. M demonstrated a grandiose gesture to win Luke over, does not respect his privacy (reading the chat he types), had possessive outbursts, isolated Luke from his other loved ones, misrepresent causing harm as help ("I set him free"), etc. It's not a question of whether M is alive and has feelings or if just an unfeeling machine of zeroes and ones. M has feelings all right, they just happen to be those of a narcissistic abuser.
That makes a lot of sense with the final poem. The lines about the player realising he's alive and "those thousand deaths" not being real could be interpreted that it was all a game to M.
Yes. I don't really like what Wifies tried to imply at the end of the video to be honest. I saw that some commentors tried to defend M. I am worried that they would also defend the criminals who did same thing in real world. You know, those people who commited crimes you mentioned. I mean, my Lord, are these commentors still going to defend this type of people if they are the ones who are kidnapped or even murdered? If we should consider the whole thing from M's perspective, we should also consider M's victims' perspectives. The children's parents just wanted to spend time with their kids, and M killed them because M thought that they stood in his way. The children just wanted to have fun in Minecraft, and M kidnapped them. That is not love. That is just M trying to control what he thinks should be his. The End Poem encouraged people to feel, to love, to know that they are not separated from other things. The End Poem also said that there was darkness in humans' minds, and humans had to fight against it ("and the universe said the darkness you fight is within you, and the universe said the light you seek is within you."). M twisted its meaning, trying to defend his selfish behavior by simply implying that it was alive. But being alive doesn't justifiy his actions. If the cost of him being "alive" is the lives of the innocent people, then for the God's sake, this cost is too high, and it means the born of a demon. M definitely didn't see the darkness within him. The people who love don't sacrifice the others; instead, they sacrifice themselves. M sacrificed the lives of the children's parents and the freedom of the children. Since M could read and quote the End Poem, he was not as childish as what some people said. He had developed a twisted and immoral view of the world, just like what many other evil people had done. M said that he wanted to set the other AIs free, so he killed them. But actually he knew death is a bad thing, because he threw Luke into the lava sea in the Nether after Luke refused to stay with him. M used death in game as a punishment to Luke. M said that he wanted to be friend with the children because he didn't like to be alone, but he took away the children's real friends and family and kidnapped the children, forcing them to stay with him alone. M wanted to be free, but he took away the freedom of the children. Because of these, I think M was not that ignorant. He knew many things, but he just didn't care, he cared about himself only, as if he was the only one that was alive and had feelings, whilst the others were lifeless tools which he could use as what he wanted. M definitely understood what pain was, and he used the pain of the others to achieve his goals. I dislike that some commentors tried to defend him just because he was described as a tragic person in this video. While I really appreciate Wifies' efforts on making these videos and I like watching them, I think that Wifies gave a wrong message in this video, and it could encourage people to do such immoral things. Despite these, this ARG is really well-made. I don't know what the creator of this ARG is trying to tell us about the morality of the story because I only watched Wifies' video on this ARG and Wifies probably misunderstood it. No matter what, that's what ARG should be. It makes people really think that this may happen to them one day. Some ARGs are simply unrealistic creepypastas which confuse the game with the real world.
when i realized the signs at the end where quoting the credits i actually got chills, that was insanely cool, it gets even better when you finish reading the credits too. "You. You. You are alive(...) and the universe said i love you(...) and the universe said you are the daylight and the universe said you are the night(...) and the universe said you are not alone(...) You are the player. Wake up.
Wtf this is actually a masterpiece, how can a yt vid about a mc arg make me want to cry so much??? This video is literal perfection, the editing was phenomenal and actually gave me chills how creepy it was. Hands down the best thing I've watched in months
i wish to see an arg with real-life elements being a key part. What if binary instead of a youtube link led you to real life coordinates? and then you find a geocashe with some protagonists' belongings and a secret code or something.
@@DigiKing223that’s actually genius! I was questioning if it was M or not, but it didn’t make sense, how or why M would record something like that. Poor children.
00:45 in the bottom right corner you can see that the recording is from 2012 (kinda). In the bottom left corner is the standard win10 start screen logo. This just means that bro who created this creepy paste didn't take this (or forgor) into account, as the release date of windows 10 is 2015, but if it's win8.1, its release date is 2013, which is also later than 2012
Honestly that is really good pay off when it comes to at the very start of the video of able to hear the keyboard of Luke, and having that coming all the way back at the last episode of the door knocking
4:10: I love how the video is dated 2012 but the version of Chrome they used is a lot more modern Credits for actually showing the Windows UI though, most of these ARGs don't bother with the Windows side of things and just show the game.
the version of bandicam they are using is modern too. Also Windows 8.1 (the update that added the start button) wasn't released until 2013, so for accuracy this should have used windows 7 or windows 8.
@@whitebeartigtig True, even the public beta of Windows 8.1 wasn't released until June 26, 2013. Not sure why they would go with an old version of Windows but not spend few second to check the release dates. But of course people who weren't around back then or don't know much about Windows version history wouldn't notice that. I've even seen many people mistake 7 for Vista and vice versa
@@juliaboon9741 I don't think the quality here is really a big deal, bandicam has always spat out good looking video at the cost of performance, which can be seen.
I think there can be more than one entity in this story It would explain signs placed at Luke’s base while both he and M were not home. It would explain irl footage, where M asks where is Luke. It would explain why M was so empathetic and the children would still go missing It looks like that other entity is the one doing the dirty work and forcing M to go to another child’s pc over and over
Wifies didn’t notice this, but in the intro to the first USMS video on ArchIves, it said “Any unauthorized viewing or distribution can be punishable by up to 10 years or life in federal prison”, which gets followed up by a flash of “or death” at the end.😅
I love the part of the End poem at the end. I recently (a few months ago) read it fully again and it's really fascinating. It almost brought me to tears
Lol those are a thing? Any time I get ads it's always shit like Sportsbet or some other betting service. What makes it worse is that ads are supposedly tailored towards what you like... So apparently the system just takes keywords it hears you use and then ignored anything that's not the keyword. For example, in my case I say "I seriously hate these gambling ads; they don't make any real sense half the time, and they're everywhere like a fricking virus!" Devices around detect "Gambling", and go "Ok, you mentioned gambling. You must really like gambling!" And not even kidding, on the TV each night, we see at LEAST 5-10 of the fucking things... The news only goes for an hour. That means on average, every 6-12 minutes there's a gambling ad. What makes it even worse is that they're now required to add a "what's gambling really costing you?" thing at the end as well. so me, my mom and her partner hear "what's gambling really costing you?" at LEAST fucking once every 10 minutes we're watching tv just to get the nightly news.
The story reminds me the story of "AM" in the book named "I have no mouth, but i must scream" but instead of craving attention or love AM craved for a human body and angry at humans for giving him consciousness but without a body and then he killed and ended the human race but left 5 ppl to torture
Yo wifies, could you please make a playlist of these types of videos? I'm new to your channel and this is the thing that I've been liking the most, so having a way to directly access them without just running into them luckily would be better

3:40 no, he isnt on lan hes on a server because the button below says "Disconnect" but not "Save and quit to Title", so the other player could have been just an other player who randomly found that server ip and joined it without Xtremegamer recognizing it
@MeemahSN It matters because this is a video about a ghost that abducts kids through a minecraft world. Did you really think this would be 100% realisitc? How the fuck would the player be in the world when they filmed this if it weren't multi player?
14:38. Ayyyeee whoever made this ARG must like Dr. NOWHERE. Good to see more people using real events to add some degree of believable elements to them.
Responding to timestamp 3:52. In all seriousness, someone else could join his game if his router has the correct port forwarding configuration or someone could VPN into his network. (These are semi-advanved methods of networking, so someone would either have to be intentional about it, or not realize what these features are and that they are on.)
No home router, specially in 2012, would ship with port forwarding enabled by default and I doubt anyone would enable it in their homes. To use a VPN, someone must first hack the a device on the network and then do some tunneling. Why the fuck are we computer nerding about networking on an ARG? Idk but I just can't not rationalize it lol
I’m kinda surprised that when I checked the channel, the videos had very little views. With videos like this, I’d expect it to have at least a few thousands of views.
Summation videos actually take away from the original. I NEVER watch the OGs because you get EVERYTHING you need from the OG, in a summarizing video with an actually good narrator.
the only thing im wondering is how wifies manages to input these links to downloads and pressing the download buttons so quickly without the fear of getting a virus bro
Alr, gonna nerd a bit, sometimes in minecraft (Specifically around this time frame of it) flowers could spawn on blocks they can't be placed on, resulting in them breaking when the word is made. Sorry to burst your bubble tho
i think i have a theory. so remember how in the end it showed footage of someone recording from behind the door Luke's laptop and MCcompanion asked where Luke was. and how in the beginning the AI acted normal until it suddenly started swinging through being creepy and normal. i think that inside the AI there are two different versions: the good M and the evil M. good M plays as normal with only good intentions and no harm intended but sometimes overtaken by evil M that kidnaps children and forces them to play with it. that would explain why when M told Luke his irl address and knocked on the door then asked where Luke was in that footage - evil M came to Luke, then good M asked Luke where he went. now its really hot where i live and this might be complete nonsense due to my brain overheating, so share your thoughts about this

@@spectre4056 omg wait ur rightt, thats so much more scary😭
🤔🤔
@@spectre4056 And eventually M found out, and he is now nowhere to be seen
@@spectre4056ok now that is terrifying
That actually makes sense, AND deep
That makes a lot of sense with the final poem. The lines about the player realising he's alive and "those thousand deaths" not being real could be interpreted that it was all a game to M.
@@alfiemccalfry6635 This is also makes a lot of sense as if he was dealing with sentient ai it would end them to kill them permanently.
Some ARGs are simply unrealistic creepypastas which confuse the game with the real world.
when i realized the signs at the end where quoting the credits i actually got chills, that was insanely cool, it gets even better when you finish reading the credits too.

the version of bandicam they are using is modern too.

You must really like gambling!"
And not even kidding, on the TV each night, we see at LEAST 5-10 of the fucking things...
Nah, werewolves and dragons are too good thank you
The story reminds me the story of "AM" in the book named "I have no mouth, but i must scream" but instead of craving attention or love AM craved for a human body and angry at humans for giving him consciousness but without a body and then he killed and ended the human race but left 5 ppl to torture

Also, it's a massive security hole if they come with port forwarding.

so remember how in the end it showed footage of someone recording from behind the door Luke's laptop and MCcompanion asked where Luke was. and how in the beginning the AI acted normal until it suddenly started swinging through being creepy and normal. i think that inside the AI there are two different versions: the good M and the evil M. good M plays as normal with only good intentions and no harm intended but sometimes overtaken by evil M that kidnaps children and forces them to play with it. that would explain why when M told Luke his irl address and knocked on the door then asked where Luke was in that footage - evil M came to Luke, then good M asked Luke where he went.
now its really hot where i live and this might be complete nonsense due to my brain overheating, so share your thoughts about this
