  • Welcome to CHENNAI! 🇮🇳 We actually attempted to speak only Tamil to locals but as you'll see, it didn't work out that way! It's honestly so difficult to remember and to get the pronunciation right, however all that we can do is try....

Are you joking ? vijayanagar empire banned tamil from using it in temples and even cut off their tongues who spoke tamil. They made tamil women who worked in temples as devadasis, who was used by landlords. Heavy taxes were imposed on native tamils. Tamil were taken as slaves to hampi to build those monuments, the reason why vijayanagar architecture matches to Tamil chola and pandya architecture instead of kannada hoyasala, chalukya etc. Not only Muslim invasion even hindu invasion will also be termed as invasion.

North Indians must be shown these videos. I have now seen many foreign youtubers, who visit southern India, and show respect to the locals by learning at least a few local words, and using them.
This is the way you show respect, instead of migrating to the south (not just visiting as tourists), refusing to learn the local languages, and demanding that only Hindi is used!
