    I’ve held the Platypus and notice that slide felt like it was on linear bearings and the frame fit my hand like no other. I’m kicking around getting a new bull barrel Platypus, a Dan Wesson DWX or the Walther PDP steel frame. Choices 🤔

    • @bluepstu9009
      @bluepstu9009  6 месяцев назад +3

      Between those 3, I would get the Platypus for several reasons. The DWX doesn't have the optic cut yet and it will fit in a weird category for any competition shooting. The PDP just isn't going to have that 1911 trigger. So many things you can do with a 1911 style firearm. JMO.

      I have. I owned the SAS Ultralight II. Trigger was probably a little better/lighter than the Platypus but I got rid of it. (I had too many issues with it.) Personally, I would go with the Platypus because of the magazines, fitment, and reliability.

      Thank you! I have not compared those two. I did have the BUL SAS Ultra light II. The fit and finish is better on the Platypus. The grip texture would be about the same. However, the width of the grip was bulkier on the BUL. I really like how easy it is to get my hand around the Platypus. It is nice having a double stack 1911 that is easy to wrap your fingers around. The trigger would be a toss up. The BUL I had came with a very light trigger. Some would have thought it was too light to carry. Hope this helps some. I think the gun you mentioned just seems to be an updated larger version of the BUL. I had. The one you mentioned seems to have "grippier" texture and heavier trigger than the one I had.

I just wanted a 2011 style gun that is not going to have some of the finicky problems that you see with the higher end 2011's.
