    Hey guys... one thing I can't fathom is that over the time that you have had the boat is that you haven't given the cockpit table and companion way doors any love and it makes it look tatty. Little things but worth doing before it's too late for the wood. Love your vids and take care.

    • @SailingSunday
      @SailingSunday  Год назад

      Hey! Sadly we have actually given both some TLC over the years and revarnished etc but out here in the elements it only seems to last about 6 months before it all starts going again as the timber had been damaged quite badly from sitting out in the sun unprotected for years and years before we bought it. We hope to replace the timber in our cockpit table all together one day, but that’s a want not a need at the moment 😆 thank you for watching!! Glad to hear you enjoy the videos ☺️☺️☺️

    I've seen a bunch of boat tours, gotta say the Beneteau is right at the top of the list of boats I'd want if I were buying a blue water boat.. Not just beautiful designed interiors, she's also well known as a fast and sturdy vessel... Other youtube sailing channels that I've watched doing these boat tours weren't the owners of the boats being toured and spoke very highly of the Beneteau line... I really like SV Delos' Amel too, but she's the only Amel I've seen enough of to judge. Catamaran's have their place, but I think I'd want the monohull.

    • @SailingSunday
      @SailingSunday  Год назад +1

      She’s a beautiful boat that’s for sure! And she sails like a dream! Lots of blue water boats need at least 20 knots to get going! We love that we can sail in light winds, it makes our cruising much kore comfortable Haha she’s always taken such good care of us!

    Beautiful boat.
    What year is your boat, and what would they be selling for today?
    Can it be easily be sailed solo?
    Thanks.
    Enjoy.

    • @SailingSunday
      @SailingSunday  5 месяцев назад

      It's a 2008, yes very easily to sail solo, everything is done from the cockpit and we have electric winches with in mast furling which changes the game of sailing. We can even drop and raise the anchor from the cockpit, lift and raise the dinghy on the electric davits. We've set ours up perfectly for us to sail easily as a couple or solo.
      Im not sure what the prices are, I haven't researched it properly, but as of today I think I've seen a bare bones ex charter boats sell for around $140,000usd and good condition updates boats with all the upgrades sell for up to $200,000usd.

    Very nice video, thank you! I just have one question in general, seeing so many different boats on RUclips from which most of the owners are happy with the storage space but as far as I can see, if you're boat is, let's for the sake of argument say, from the year 2000+, isn't storage going to be pretty well on almost all models of the most popular brands? (Benneteau, Jeanneau etc.) I'm by no means trying to bring this in negatively as if it's not a very nice design but I'm new to boats so hence the question.

    Where are the children's bedrooms and how can you raise them on a boat? Don't they need to be in a home to go to school and grow up?

    46' is not tiny at all, 10 people can comfortable live in your boat.

      Far out man, 10 people living 5yrs in a 46’x13’ box with 2 beds is gonna be tough! The fridge is barely big enough to fit just my beers alone!!! 😂🤙🍻
