And there's a bees' nest by/near to Pleasance/Aberdeen Pig Farm area. When you play as John/Arthur they begin swatting them away when you go near them/it.

God of war is just a hack n slash with good graphics and a story. rdr2 is an open world game with so many details it's ridiculous. They can't even compare, Arthur is a million times better than Kratos. 4 years old and red dead still has stuff people don't know about it

That RDR1 parallel is pretty cool, even the gameplay is the same: through the doors and straight into auto dead-eye. I hadn't made the connection between those missions before now. Love your videos!
To me the most meaningful little detail in this video was at 9:09 when Sadie used the same fake last name, Kilgore, as Arthur indicating they had nice chemistry even at that point
every gang member uses Kilgore
All of them use Kilgore or Tacitus tho. Its the code name
The sheriff at rhodes during hanging of Mark Johnson does a bit of foreshadowing to John's fate by saying something along the lines of "This here man thought he could abandon his past life as a member of a gang, forget his comitted crimes and live a life as a rancher and a family man, however our sins always catch up to us." These surely aren't the correct words, but at his hanging you could listen to sheriff's dialogue.

Alden also adds Xs to the notes he gives Arthur
I always wondered what that meant, I thought it might've related to the amount of stagecoaches on the job for some reason. It's so obvious in hindsight considering I was aware that Alden was gay.
I've often seen people ask why Arthur was able to fight the Pinkertons off after coming out of the barn, when John couldn't. There are two reasons for that:
1. Arthur is the better gunslinger. There are subtle details in the way Arthur holds his weapons, but Arthur was essentially a top tier gunslinger. He was able to defeat the best gunslingers of the old west, and multiple times throughout the game, you see him pull off nigh impossible shots.
2. The government and army men were expecting John to come out of the barn and were ready for him. The Pinkertons weren't expecting Arthur and Sadie to ambush them from the side, so they were focused solely on the house that the gang was in. Essentially, Arthur's attack was a surprise, and John's wasn't.
Also, John wanted to die there and then. He knew the only way out for his family was with him dead or in prison. So he stepped right out of the barn into their crossfire to get shot and kill a couple of the Pinkertons on his way out. Unfortunately he didn't expect Jack to develop such a hate for authority after this, and become an outlaw himself. Shows that John didn't really understand his son till the end (although he surely loved him more than anything)
@DiscoBroccoli Canonically speaking, the only person Jack kills is Edgar Ross. Jack wasn't an outlaw in the end. He avenged his father. He most likely went back to Beechers Hope and wrote a book about his uncle Arthur and his father.
There's a theory out there that the games you play are actually visual representations of Jack's books in the early 20th century. He obviously took some creative liberties for things he couldn't remember or wasn't there for. Jack was always more civilised and educated than John and Abigail. He'd kill Ross out of a sense of obligation to his father, but otherwise, he wouldn't become an outlaw. He'd seen what the outlaw life always leads to, and Jack was intelligent enough to know it was never worth it, and that in this new age of civilisation, it would only end one way.
@@luckygrunt Isn't the book he allegedly wrote just an easter egg in GTA V? GTA and Red Dead aren't the same universe so we don't really know if he wrote something. All we know is, he ended up killing a former FBI agent, which kinda makes him a wanted criminal

You can encounter the night folk crying lady ambush by walking into the r**ists cabin and going into eagle eye which uncovers a trail leading out the back door of the cabin to the crying lady. This actually made the event scarier knowing they left a trail on purpose
I never knew antagonizing the performances could ruin them, I could never bring myself to yell at them while watching so this is the first time I've ever seen that.
This is the game that keeps on giving! It's almost its 4th anniversary and yet it's still providing us with exciting new details, backgrounds on the most trivial NPCs and undiscovered lore.
When Arthur said “It’s Redeeming Time” and red deaded himself in front of the entire cast of RDR2, it was truly one of the moments of all time.

i remember getting that dialogue on 1:52 only because right before i did the mission my horse kicked me in the dirt. i even went and got a haircut and nice clothes before lol
i was scared at first that the vetters echo is gonna end at the "you can find a bear.." part 😂
At the frozen Lake where you find Flaco Hernandez, (Barrows Lagoon?) You can find written on the ice “keep your dreams simple“. Four years of playing and I only just discovered it yesterday
In the chapter where you're in Saint Denis you can hear Trelawny speaking to his family. A cool little detail I found out recently.

Okay, I never noticed for Alden. And the parallele between Arthur and John at this mission, never get it too, and I love it. Everyone talks about the hat, but I never heard this one, that that's pretty cool.
Idk if it’s even important but what I found to be a nice touch is how Arthur will lean forwards or backwards on his horse if you’re going up or down a steep slope to counterweight
Never fails to amaze me...still seeing things I didn't notice after spending 3.5 month playing the game to death daily and getting 100%...Truly amazing it is.

You can also see the Hill Haven rancher in a chapter 4 side mission with Uncle where he and Arthur rustle their cattle. He can come out of the house attempting to kill you while you lead the cattle out. He passes out if you don't try to kill him yourself.
But the biggest irony is....
Your facing a drunk while doing this mission with the biggest constant drinker... Uncle.

I don’t know if anybody notice but in Red Dead Undead nightmare when you first go to Blackwater and you meet that girl screaming. She sends you to the cementary to clear it but what caught my attention is that She Mentions “Mr Braithwaite” could it be somebody related to Catherine Braithwaite.
Running into that bear in the cabin was the first time I've ever been jump-scared into actually yelling.
At vetter's echo you can kill the bear easily if you enter thru the back door and also take down the second bear.
Hidden dialogue : in Colter, Dutch asks Hosea to send someone to bury the corpse of Sadie late-husband
That's not hidden, it's a main dialogue everyone overhears.

I read an article today (can't put the link bc of censure) that talks about Arthur struggling with his briefs. It was about the shakespearean grief journey, present in RDR2.
This article said that Arthur lived each step of grief, from deny to acceptance.
I don't know who the first found this link with RDR2, but it would be interresting to see how this game describles it chapter by chapter. And my opinion is it doesn't only concerns Arthur but is reflected in all the camp members behaviors.

The bear in the vetter's cabin, I killed it in 1 shot using a poisoned arrow plus got a perfect grizzly bear pelt early in game, approached from the backside of the cabin. Guys You can try it's easy not to get attacked by the bear.

Ok here’s one that’s pretty interesting. While roaming New Austin I came across a duo of riders. I kid you not they had the same Avatar of Mr. Black and Mr. White. Same unique voice actor too. They’re identified as just ‘Stranger’ however I thought it was pretty cool. Probably just the game giving a subtle nod that they’re moving on with their lives.

Just figured out that in the basement of the Rhodes gunshop there is a picture of who i believe to be the gunsmiths son that is on either the mantle over the prisoners bed or on the wall. Same painting of the kid is hanging in the saint denis hotel room you can rent.
Alden always reminded me of Bruce from Family Guy for some reason. And also the antagonizing theater acts remind me of the magic shows from GTA IV.
Vetters echo was a big surprise the first time I walked in the door and was face to face with a grizzly bear I didn’t notice the bear signs at first now I go in the back door lol 😂

I remember during one particular playthrough, I managed to bug the bear attack scene at Vetter’s Echo by approaching the cabin whilst being chased by wolves. The bear instead ran away from the cabin, but then circled back and attacked when I was in the process of looting the cabin. Wolves and a bear attack… that was a real bad day for Arthur.

I've played through the story twice already, am currently on my third attempting to complete it 100%. I'm a level 400 online and have EASILY clocked in over a thousand hours worth of playing time. And yet I'm still learning things about this amazing game

I just realized a cool detail in the game when I was strolling around on the horse. When you go into tracking mode while on your horse, your character looks down at the ground. Then when your out of tracking mode you look back up. I thought that was cool.
Now I truly know why I never liked that ranch up at Hill Haven, apart from the farmers shooting at me whenever I tried to get cow/bull skins from there 😅

Will rockstar give us a cowboy game in Canada at any point. Could we see uncle as the protangonist possible, uncle could take us back further in the Van der Lin gang history or could we maybe see Mac or Davey calender as our main protagonist.

All the dead in the Halloween Call to arms have voices from Butcher Creek, which is interesting because you defend Butcher Creek. Also, the outhouses are different in Call To Arms. The 1st and the 5th. Number wise. Also, I could of sworn I heard one that sounded like Gertrude. :/ idk. Like her scream, after killing one of the dead, and that was in Butcher Creek. First two rounds you can check stuff out pretty easily without any problem. Like no shot fired. :) oh, and I think one of them isn’t white…. 3 maybe…
