Korshamn is a fishing village and in the Viking era this was the starting location where Christianity entered Viking society. Korshamn therefore played a major role in the religious conversion of Scandinavia and ultimately the beginning of the end of the Viking era. So perhaps it is no coincidence that Rockstar used this village in the backstory of the Manzanita group.
I think the reason why they put such effort into manzanita is because manzanita wasn't really that much to see in rdr1, it was just the stop at tall trees on the train route, where you could buy provisions and head into the forest.
Tbf as it stands manzanita is way more useful in the first one, I barely look at the one in Redemption 2 because the lack of the actual trading post, I was a little disappointed being a RDR1 player having to travel all the way into town to sell pelts and such. Crazy! I've always thought the locations in this backstory was dynamic/based on some sort of geolocation so someone playing the game from the US would have locations from the US, someone from Mexico would get a Mexican location etc etc. I am borne and raised in the neighbouring municipality of Lyngdal (Lyngdal being the municipality of which Austad and Korshamn are part of) and it feels surreal to think a big game like this, from another part of the world are referring to very small (even by Norwegian standards) places as part of a backstory within the game. There were a lot of people from Lyngdal that travelled over to the US in this time period. The people of Lyngdal/Austad/Korshamn are still to this day generally very devoted Christians, so no doubt it would be frowned upon back then if someone foreign, with a different religion than them, came into their community and impregnated one of their own. Edit: and the women from Lyngdal are also very pretty. Not surprised that someone travelling there would fall in love with someone from there, and also not surprising that someone from there would fall in love with someone new and exciting.
the ending just make me wish even more we had a way to interact more with these secrets, even if it's nothing big, like gaining honor killing them only after you discover their secret or being able to capture them and deliver them to justice
I know what you mean but it wouldn't make that much sense since John and probably most people in the game can't read norweigan. I've just looked whilst zoomed in, well spotted, damn it looks weird, almost like they forgot to animate his mouth (or an animation bug probs).
This was amazing, especially the end! Done in true RDR2 style. 😁
I love the way your videos are done 👏🏻
Proud of myself for being able to tell that the screams were from a Fox 😊

It’s the screams of the family and it’s hunting them
The ending goes so hard, awesome!
Earlyyyyy lessgoooo. That scene at the end of you massacring them with a tomahawk is sickkkk
Imagine how cool it would be if we after finding the truth would have a quest to kill cultist or go to the sheriff.

I love this game, and this channel.
They should revisit the post and make it accessible to players like any other post around the Game
Awesome video! The end was epic!
The Banger at the start would make Arthur dance from the grave💀
I always wondered what animal made those noises. That sound drives me nuts when I’m in the wilderness hunting.
John "The Punisher" Marston
That sounds like a baby crying to me
Little bit of Marsten Justice served by the Strange Man !
That ending was something else
