The 80s were a hell of a time to be a young wild teenager like I was and I mean I was WILD!! Have usually been comprised of a majority of "Rocker Dudes" wearing their rocker attire and their would be some babes in attendance. But Man when I saw Whitesnake on this tour with this lineup for the first time. their were thousands of young gorgeous girls in the audience. we were just standing by the concession stands watching groups of girls with legs for miles walking side by side almost like a Victoria's secret runway. Wow What a night.

Seen these guys when they were opening for Motley Crue, and Whitesnake blew Motley Crue off the stage. I love the 80s and a big Crue fan but they should've been opening for Whitesnake. Great show all the way around but Whitesnake sounded so much stronger, every member were far more talented.

OMG! I just remembered listening to this song, on cassette, in my walkman, while I was working at the Post Office!! Overnight shift...this type of music kept me awake so I could do my job. I worked midnight to 8 am for 7 years before I get a slightly better shift. This music really kept me going!! If there's any words in this post that you younglings don't know, like cassette and walkman, feel free to look them up!! For any of you old time postal workers, I used to sit at the LSM and listen to this while sorting letters for local, state and overseas. I know there's probably like, 2 people out there that know what I'm saying!!

David always had and still have, an all star line-up in Whitesnake- Paice and Lord (Rest in Peace!) in late 70s and early 80s, and finally in 1989 Sarzo-Aldridge-Vandenberg and Vai! i think sykes rhythm guitar tone is awful on this LP - and aldridge drums sound so 80s - i cant listen - like the songs - but the production makes me vomit
Sadly, the people that actually recorded this song(and the whole 87 album for that matter) were John Sykes on guitar Neil Murray on bass and Aynsley Dunbar on drums. Then Coverdale fired the whole band. So the people in the videos were not the people on the album. With the exception of the solo in this song which was rerecorded by Viv and released for the video in 88. I do think Vandenberg might have recorded one solo on the album as well. But I'm not a hundred percent on that. He might have even done a whole song. I know when I found this out it killed me. I felt like my life was a lie. lol

Skyes is great but this solo makes better for the song, specially the ending with the harmony, it is one of the best created melodic lines in the history of metal and it has stayed through the decades as part of the song. Simply a demonstration of genius by Campbell.
Syke's guitar sound on 1987 album is unmatched. Big respect to Vivian Campbell, but nothing compares to the original.
I love Viv’s solo here, incorporating the Floyd Rose… it’s awesome to watch, too! 🙏
Sykes solo is much more thoughtful, much more tenacious, and just better in general. 10 out of 10 actual guitarists would agree..

Hoje em dia, entram pra música mirando só na grana e fama! Depois somem! Naquela época, faziam a música com o coração, na hora de compor as letras. Estes roqueiros antigos sabiam que a grana alta viria, então eles focavam na música, pois sabiam que o dinheiro viria automaticamente! Coverdale numa Ponta e vittar na outra! 😂
