In 1988, I was 17, senior in high school, dating my wife of now 30 years. Our routine was to stop for a sub sandwich at Zero's in Virginia Beach with what little money we had around, and play this song on the jukebox while we waited on our food, laughed, and sipped our drinks. 36 years, 3 kids, 2 grandkids, and 2 great careers later, I've had a great life, but I was never happier than in those simple moments with her.

I remember them playing in manchester Apollo theater the whole street was stopping by and the people was hypnotized by the marvelous tones of 80s What a great music all genres was melodic and easily going into head where stayed forever. Today music not even close to this
Unbearable sadness and deep nostalgia for those beautiful times of the 80's.. This is the price paid by those lucky enough to have lived that magical time, which they now reminisce.. (Sending love from Athens 🇬🇷)
I was in my late teens when this came out... The eighties were the best era for music... So many great artists... I'd love to go back for just one day ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Being born in the late 60’s and growing up in the 80’s was the absolute best. The music of the 80’s is the foundation of what good music should be. Gosh I miss those times.
It's more asses shaking and get payed billions of dollars, must be nice to say the same thing in music over and over and get payed millions while I'm over here working for me and my gf, fucking bullshit
There were so many beautiful girls dancing around in the 80's, yet SHE'S the one we all remember. She had that "IT ," an elusive quality that few posses and today's celebrities try to buy through social media posts. Tawny Kitaen was so much more than a video vixen. She helped define an era. R.I.P. to one of the baddest females of the 80's.
I named my daughter Tawny after her and she is so in love with her name to know who and where it came from. Nobody in our town has it. It's a very unique, beautiful and from the Vixen herself. And I am proud to say that my daughter and I both have long , thick wavy hair like hers. And I'll be doing my Tawny hair like hers for the REO SPEEDWAGON and Loverboy concert on my birthday. I can't wait. Only I'm really gonna have to do a lot of hair products because my hair is extremely thick with wavy layers in the center of my ass. But I'm so damn ready for this show in Jonesboro Arkansas 🌹
2:45 I consider this one of the greatest guitar solos of all time. It may be overlooked by most people but if you play guitar, you know this guy absolutely 100% nailed the aesthetic of this song. It's an incredibly rare occurrence and it will forever stand the test of time.
John Sykes’ tone is ridiculous on this album, especially this solo. It’s so damn good. It’s almost got a saxophone quality to it. Although Vivian Campbell (Dio, Def Leppard) is playing the lead on the video, it was John Sykes’ guitar on 99% of the album. I think Adrian Vandenberg played the solo on ‘Here I Go Again’ .
Same here brother I'm turning 19 this year and oh how I wish I could turn 19 in the 80's to live with this awesome music everyday and not the bullshit playing nowadays, this is real music
Same things seems to be much cooler before. Yeah theres was bad things happening, but the future was more hopefull than now and they had this hella good music
Yes, we weren't then all obssessed every day with either loving Trump or hating him, or if you are really sick, both..;)! You're exactly right...music, bars, beer, chicks...
If I had a time machine i would so go back to 80s in a heartbeat, life was so less complicated and damn the music was so good. Now its soulless and frankly so is life.
Life was not less complicated, we, younger generations would love to think that there are a time when things was simpler but it's not true, life is always a struggle. In the 80s they had better economical circumstances but i doubt that they had less complicated relationships
@@iicii77 It all depends on your outlook and age. If you were born after the 1990's, you have no idea what it is to be a 1980's youth. EVERYTHING was so much easier, the only advantage is that there is a ridiculously wider communication outreach that either helps or burdens us.
Very few guitarists could hold a candle to John Sykes - slick melodic riffs and killer tone. He was a monster and we were blessed to have experienced his artistry. R.I.P. & thanks JS. Hope you're crankin' up the dB with Phil right now mate..we'll miss you.🎸🎸🎸
The 1980's especially during the Hair Metal days hit you right in the feels. It seemed like every week a new album would be released and the anticipation of opening it and hearing it for the first time.... 1985 thru 1990 was probably the greatest for hair metal and cheesy bands as well. Scorpions, Whitesnake, Y&T, Ratt, Cinderella, Poison, Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, and the list just continues. Miss those days
Thats pretty accurate. This album in particular caught me in the right moment when it came out. Few songs in all of time stand the test of time and this one never ever gets old to me.
I wasnt really into Hair Metal at the time (without realising what it was called at the time). I just shunned it as false metal (perhaps due to the fact I had no Girlfriend tbh). I was more into Dio (whom in 1984 introduced me to metal (The Last In Line) after loving Abba, so Mr RJD was my religion to follow..), obvs Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Rainbow, as those older bands, however I also liked Whitesnake (1987, with John Sykes). After my divorce having spent time with someone after 27 years without much love looking back, I'm lucky to have now met the most amazing love of my life (finally someone whom likes my music. I was 48). She is a rocker, loves all good music (Foo Fighters, Sterophonics), and loves all the hair metal bands (I have even taken to liking early Bon Jovi), and hearing some of the music released at the time I can now appreciate it. She even knows (Ian) Gillan and saw Dio at monsters of Rock! I love her so much. I love ABBA also btw. Music is the soul of life. Its the best Art 100%, and I love a good painting
Tawny Kitaen's passing hits me just as hard as an Eddie Van Halen or Neil Peart. They represented a time in music, our culture, that we're sorely lacking right now. Decadence, danger, sexuality, controversy, irreverence. Rock and roll really needs to be central to our culture again when this shitty pandemic is over.
I personally don't equate her passing with Eddie and Neil's, but that being said, I miss the rock universe of the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Good and wild times that will never come back sadly.
Beautiful song from 80's, ,in 48 years old and still love this gem, anybody else in 2020?👍 thank you all for the likes, I never got this much, love to all.
Welcome to my ..NightMare!!..lol!.." Ze New World Order!!!".. be a good Sheep!..and " Obey, Comply& Consume( synthetic lab grown stem cell meat!!) lmfao!
I have great memories attached to this song and the entire album. I had a double case of cassette tapes with me on a 21 day road trip from Dallas Texas, all the way up the West coast to Vancouver B.C. I was traveling with a life long lady friend, were still best friends. I popped Whitesnake into the music system while driving across the desert in the middle of the night. What a great soundtrack to a midnight run through the desert. ❤️❤️

Who's that?
I remember them playing in manchester Apollo theater the whole street was stopping by and the people was hypnotized by the marvelous tones of 80s
What a great music all genres was melodic and easily going into head where stayed forever.
Today music not even close to this
Unbearable sadness and deep nostalgia for those beautiful times of the 80's..
This is the price paid by those lucky enough to have lived that magical time, which they now reminisce..
(Sending love from Athens 🇬🇷)
same feeling, i was born in the 90s but feel so deeply connected to the 80s.. just nothing like it
Part of the soundtrack of my youth. ❤️
I am one of those who feel deep nostalgia for one of the sweetest musical decades of all!
😊 I was there.... It was great 👌
I was in my late teens when this came out...

I agree the music was the bomb back then. Still listening to 80's music 🎶 the best
It's more asses shaking and get payed billions of dollars, must be nice to say the same thing in music over and over and get payed millions while I'm over here working for me and my gf, fucking bullshit

Very sad, R.I.P., Tawny. 🙏🏻

Your first sentence says it all. She had that special, once in a generation, Marilyn Monroe level beauty and charm.
Well said! R.I.P Tawny
100 hundred percent
RIP Tawney. You were the fuel of young headbangers fantasies.
We'll said...☮️💔
didn't know she died

John Sykes is a fuckin' legend. With Thin Lizzy and Tygers Of Pan Tang
Agreed, up there with the best of them for tone, note choice and feel. The phrasing is so spot on.
❤❤❤
“BeautyFuLL” review!!!
Interesting song ,nice choice Top G 👍

If I had a time machine i would so go back to 80s in a heartbeat, life was so less complicated and damn the music was so good. Now its soulless and frankly so is life.
I think Music is a reflection of society... thats why everything is crapier
Totally agree with you sir . .
I agree, I want to go back to good music and a wonderful time in my life. We see each other ... when your time machine works ;-)

And there was a big concert in town every two weeks.
Thats pretty accurate. This album in particular caught me in the right moment when it came out. Few songs in all of time stand the test of time and this one never ever gets old to me.
But WS ans Scorpions were never hair metal. They adopted that image in the mid 80s, but had been playing loud blues/hard for over 10 years then.
Love this guy ! He’s so down to earth and humble . The best part is he likes his fans .
Preach brother💯👏🏾
Absolutely! Well said...
I personally don't equate her passing with Eddie and Neil's, but that being said, I miss the rock universe of the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Good and wild times that will never come back sadly.
