AKRacing Core Series SX Gaming Chair - Unboxing, Assembly and Review

This is not a paid review! We purchased this chair out of our own pocket.
Thanks to COVID, we bit the bullet and upgrade our cheap office chair to the AKRacing Core Series SX Gaming Chair. This chair is rated for up to 330lbs and has a 5 year limited warranty. This makes it a great choice for a bigger guy like me, but they aren’t cheap. The chair comes in around $350-$400 depending on current deals. We ordered ours via Best Buy during a special and picked it up for $350 delivered to the door.
We receive, unbox and assemble this beast of a chair and I put it through a solid weeks worth of home office grinding to let you know if I have any regrets.

taj I did consider it, I was afraid it may be too wide. I’m going into week two now and I’m still very happy though. Happy enough to not want to exchange it. Much appreciated! I’m sitting in it right now. It’s been a great chair. Wipes off easy when you spill coffee like an idiot and after you find pets sleeping on it. LOL!
It has broken in enough that the tight fit for me is no longer an issue, that or I got used to it.

Hi Thanks for sharing. Do you remember if there was 2 straps on the leather ( on the back part of the chair) in the middle of the two nuts where the back part and the sitting are linked? Thanks

I’m not really sure what your description is of so I struggle to answer this question accurately. I suggest finding the spot in the video which may show what you are looking for.

Very happy with it. Showing very little signs of wear and I use it for many hours a day almost every day. Highly recommend.

How the hell do you put the upper pillow in the holes?

You use the plastic octagon to tie the straps together in the back between the two holes on the neck.

Takes a combo of twisting them around that center post based on how high or low you may want it to rest on the chair.

Im 1,83m and 88 kg is it better to get EX wide or SX?

We all have different body shapes so it’s hard to judge for certain. But based on your info, you should fit well in an SX. I am still very happy with mine and I am a big boy. LOL! Enjoy!

Thanks for watching! Minimum is 17 inches, seat at its lowest. Maximum is 21 inches, seat raised all the way.
