this is for beginners. any type of body weight workout will help any newbie....but if you want to actually be considered strong, you'll need to use weights. there are no shortcuts to building muscle. At the very minimum, you have to eat the right amount and put in the work in the weight room.
You need to build strength more than muscle. Basketball players now a days are skinnier than they used to be. You don't really need to start lifting a whole bunch of weights until you're senior year or even college as long as you are doing strength training
Ryan Kraut yea. I agree except the part about players being skinnier. I think they’re getting stronger but more lean than in the past. That’s just how the generations go. Nba ready bodies will increase any players draft stock. I mean...look at Zion. He’s a man-child. I do agree that kids should focus more on their game skills early on, but they shouldn’t avoid weightlifting completely. They can still go low weights and high reps and modify their progression as they get older.
@@Lbyt21 yah low weights are fine but you don't need to benching 200 pounds and lifting all these weights that won't help you in the game. Strength training can help you stay lean and get stronger depending on the training you are doing. You don't need to lift weights until you are close to your senior year in high school as long as you are strength training and taking care of your body
Hey EGT, i recently changed my jump shot from one motion to more of a two motion shot. I can’t shoot as well as I used to. What should I do to get used to this new jump shot and start splashing shots again?
Overhauling your shot takes A LOT of commitment and mental toughness to push through the in-between phase where your shooting % isn't what it used to be. You changed your stroke for a reason. Think about it and while you do that think of the long term. That's a question only you can answer. - Joe @ TeamEGT

@ labtechtech, this video is for the hundreds of comments we've received from players who don't have access to a gym. And yes, we filmed this in a gym because we aren't going to film in a living room or bedroom 🤣 - Joe @ TeamEGT
@@DeepGameBasketball That's fair, just adding the important point that at some point (probably first or second year of high school) weight training becomes necessary for most players.
@ Nate Hoody, sure you can, but at some point, you're going to want to add something heavier -- and, that could be a book or whatever you have if you don't have a med ball. - Joe @ TeamEGT

This video is definitely great! It helps me remember of times when my sister used Custokebon Secrets to get rid of 19 pounds and enjoy being healthy again! Most of us want to lose fat, however we also require to stay healthy and balanced, and that's exactly what Custokebon Secrets gifted.
perfect form, this kid is beast
EGT is great, it has really improved every aspect of my game. Thank you!
I love the last one, its good for your lower abs, hips and quads...tough..
Can you make a video to determine your own jumpshot mechanics
Thanks coach Alan Stein

I’m 13 and have a very fast Metabolism I’m going to admit it I can barely to 25 push ups so what do you suggest for let to get my upper body stronger
How much can u bench
I love your stuff but only doing bodyweight exercises ain't gonna cut it in 2019.
Why won't it if you do enough push up you will be ripped idk what u mean

True, eventually you will have to add resistance

Could I use a basketball instead of a medicine ball
yes
it would just be harder, due to it being less weight

Anybody got EGT reloaded?
Wtf were those pushups! Son locked his elbow on each one!
I have a question. What's the difference between in season vs off season workouts (strength N skill based)?
Simply stated, the off-season is where you build strength and develop new skills, and in-season is where you maintain both.
- Joe @ TeamEGT
@@DeepGameBasketball I understand that. How do the workloads vary e.g. Reps, load, frequency, pace/intensity ?
