    Thanks for this! Would you recommend core training daily or is every other day better?

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  8 лет назад +7

      Every other day is better than everyday. To start, go with every 3 days and see how you feel. You don't want to overtrain.

      Core, Hips, and Legs are the most important factors of Jumping. But Upperbody and Calves are also great for improving Vertical.

    Coach can you share a pregame ritual to get my mind focused on the game? If you could share a specific meditation routine or something like that it would be great.

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  8 лет назад +3

      That's something you need to figure out and develop on your own. My thing was music on the bus rides and then quiet before game time where I'd visualize making my shots, beating the defenders, playing lockdown D and so on.

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  8 лет назад +1

      Create a circuit with all of the moves and go through 3-5 times depending on how your body feels and if you can make it through.

    • @DeepGameBasketball

      All of the movements are either body weight or the weight of the ball so he can do everything in the video.
      As always, we recommend consulting a doctor prior to starting any training.

      @@humblebeasthooper1184 You need to allow your body to heal and recover, it's during the downtime when you actually generate the gains you're working towards.

    why do we need explosive core for basketball

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  7 лет назад +1

      Do you watch basketball on TV? If so, you'll notice the size, speed, strength and explosiveness of the players. So why do you need an explosive core for basketball? To be competitive.

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  7 лет назад +2

      Having a strong core is vital to being an effective basketball player in this day and age. The players are bigger, faster and stronger. Work on your core strength.
