    I'm so glad you're here today! I've been on quite a journey over the past three months and it's amazing what making these simple changes have made. Do you have any helpful thing you do to make you feel more peaceful? Any thoughts about the video? Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    I love the one bag at a time method. I don't have a lot of extra shopping bags, but I do get a lot of boxes delivered... 🤭 So I think what I'll do is if I get a box, I will refill it with things to declutter. Then it's easy to take to the donation or recycling center. 📦

    • @TowardsASimpleLife

      That sounds like a great plan for you! You can really keep that going and get a lot done.
      I actually use those white kitchen trash can bags because I don’t have a lot of shopping bags either. I like that they have drawstrings on the top and aren’t too heavy for me to lift once I get them loaded up.

    A simple thing I do to calm myself is to look out the window. My apartment overlooks a beautiful park, but whatever the view, it gets you to cast your gaze outwards, noticing what you see right now. I especially love the sky.

    I love to potter about the house. Sometimes go for a walk. It depends how I feel on the day. I only watch RUclips and have WhatsApp. No other social media. I love my friends, swimming and reading, but not all at the same time! We don’t watch tv very much. Our plan is to travel again which could mean go out for the day or a weekend break. Lately, as I have close family members going through cancer treatment these things have become more important. We are very lucky that we have free bus travel in Scotland (for over 60’s), and cheaper train travel in our county so if we don’t want to drive we have lots of options. When I do feel anxious or overwhelmed I stop what I am doing and sit for a while. I’ve learnt to kind of just go with it until I feel better. That’s what helps me anyway! In the past I worried too much about what other people thought of me and maybe because of life experience I don’t worry as much. I decided to let my hair grow out about 4 or 5 years ago and it was the best thing. I wear it in a pixie cut and it is so easy to manage. I’m reading the book at the moment that you recommended. I have highlighted quite a few quotes from it. It’s not a long winded book and I am loving the little cartoons in it! This was a lovely relaxed video Rozanne. ❤

    • @TowardsASimpleLife
      @TowardsASimpleLife  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Linda! Traveling sounds wonderful. We really haven't gone anywhere since before Covid. Once spring comes back, I'm going to go back to working on the trailer because we'd like to take it out this year. (Ran out of time this year.) Taking care of family does move things around a bit, right? One of the reasons we didn't go anywhere for around 5 years is because we didn't feel like we could leave Mom for long. Having free bus travel would be awesome! Gas is quite high year, although less than it has been. I'd love to be in a place where I could use public transport. I've dreamed of going on a trip with a sleeping car. My goal with my hair is to get it about shoulder length - all one length (simpler for me) with just a little bang. Just need to be patient. :-) See you next week!

    HERE you are! 🤗🤗 Wonderful to see you!
    I've already stopped this vid twice to go write down, VERBATIM, a couple things you said, and I think I may crossstitch "monotask" on a pillow! Multitasking as a reason to hire us? Yes ma'am, me too! When I was a dispatcher/911 operator for the Los Angeles County Fire Department they called it "multifunctional dexterity"... same thing. Yeah I was good at it, I HAD to be, and after close to 30 years away from there it's still something I have a hard time letting go of. I have ADHD, so any tendency I had to do a million things at once was highly favored and built upon at that job. Oh... and an ambulance driver for 12 years before that!! No wonder I still struggle!
    Again, it's great to see you! I'm gonna go do something... ONE thing! Play with my papers, that's a happy place for me!
    Hugs, dear lady. See you next week. XOX, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗

I wondered if my friends would see what I've done, but I had to go with the inspiration. I'm glad that RUclips finally showed my video to you. You'll have to go back and see the last two videos which have the new content/style in them. Hope you like them! Monotasking has been big for me. I'm working HAARD at breaking the watching TV and checking the phone thing. That really messes my brain up. See you next week!

    Hi, dear, thank you for sharing. I’m so interested in many things, like painting, cooking, reading, knitting, crocheting… so I suppose I’ll never be a minimalist, because all these activities need a lot of stuff. But stuff you cannot find or which piles up isn’t supporting… Flylady Marla Cilley let me start with routines, zones, decluttering, Marie Kondo let me know how to keep things making me happy and let go things I don’t like or don’t need and you… just do it, having and keeping a lot of books like me. Very calming. I love the suggestion with the colored points during the day, to be aware of my mindset. Greetings from Germany, Monika❣
