    Great video - since our food is so corrupt now, our health in general has decreased- but then we stress ourselves out because we berate ourselves because we can’t get it done- then if you have a spouse or child to care for, it gets even more difficult. The I laugh at myself because I’m thinking people actually clean baseboards!? Does look better! I like how you say it’s good to take rest periods without guilt. We are so hard on ourselves! Thanks for using what energy you had to make this video!

    I'm sorry but I've listened to your video for 14 plus minutes and you're telling me all about spending problems, but nothing about decluttering and keeping the clutter down.

    • @TowardsASimpleLife
      @TowardsASimpleLife 7 дней назад

      The video is about spending because it is overspending that creates clutter. That's why the video's name is "Why Clutter Keeps Invading Your Home." The clutter has to come from somewhere. Most time, we buy it. Sometimes, we are given it or inherit it, but usually we bring it in ourselves so we create it. This particularly video isn't about removing clutter; it is about preventing clutter. I have many videos about removing cllutter from your home. The end of this video gives you specific methods of overcoming the spending problems the first part of the video describes. Here is the playlist that contains the decluttering (removing items from your home) videos: ruclips.net/video/cm2Ofqln44M/видео.html I hope that helps!

      Flexibility Adaptability Growth Taking inspiration from a curated collection of positive mindsets. then introspectively hearing the messages to comprehend our own interpretation. With a view of an open mind, that as individuals with different perspectives, that to some ppl the source is universe… to other ppl the source is creation through God. Acceptance that we are all different. this is my understanding of what you have conveyed in this RUclips video. As much as I remember my times of depression, like you said the focus needs to be on the times we were functioning well…then lead ourselves back to the wellness. each time we misstep or have bad times. The notion in my head “I remember the times I have been well I can get there again” (each time I recovered a little for a while… I realised as I age it was never going to be that vibrant teenager again, accepting the new pace to slow down in maturity, learning to forgive myself more) is what really kept me going to build myself back up. Along with inspirational talks from yourself and others I have listened to prior to finding your channel. ( over the years positive inspirational people have helped me along inspiring me) 💐Thank you today’s video, it resonates with me on my journey. 🌻thank you for sharing eloquently with caring narrative.🙏

    I wear contacts and last year is the first time since my 30's that I have bought new glasses. I'm 54 now. I can see better with contacts but sometimes I like to take them out earlier in the evening. So I got new glasses last year. They were crooked!!! They are still not quite right but I can live with them. I only wear them for a very short time at night and only if I have to. I am thinking about getting progressive lenses next time. Do you have those?

    • @TowardsASimpleLife
      @TowardsASimpleLife 10 дней назад

      I had surgery on my eyes in 2007 or so - monovision - and it was SO wonderful. No glasses. Then I got cataracts and the doctor got the new lenses pretty close - I can drive without glasses - but I don't like that things aren't sharp enough. So I'm back to wearing glasses again. I film a lot without them on because they get a glare on them. That's why you'll see me talking without them and working with them. You ought to go back to where you got your glasses and have them fix them. They can adjust the crookedness out. I always have to have that done. Yes, I have progressive lenses. If they get them right, they are nice but they do take a little bit of getting used to. I have two pairs. One is for regular doing things. One is for reading/playing the piano. They just took that reading part of the prescription and made it bigger and left out the long distance. I can read with my regular pair, but it is harder because the reading spot is small.

      Thanks! It's nice to meet someone that knows how I feel. The good news is that I'm over that cold. Now I'm back to dealing with the Fibro, but that's normal. At least, I know what to do. I'm going to try to remember the 30-minute block method more because it really helps me not to overdo it.

    The shelves are absolutely perfect! Seems like your mom is smiling down on you. I like the way you arranged the books.

      They are! It's really something that I feel so close to her when I'm playing the piano with those shelves on either side. It almost gives me goosebumps.

    ❤ Today is a catch up day for me. I have not felt well the last few days and my house is suffering. I plan on getting it tidied today in ~30m increments.... YES!!!! I've definitely done this before and it's very helpful. I work for 30m and then relax for as long as I need, doing something I enjoy, like reading or watching a show. And then back up for 30 more minutes. 😊 But first, my morning routine (which is when I listen to YT videos - but I had to stop and comment). Hopefully I'll get done what I want to get done. We'll see.

      Hope you start feeling better. Isn't it amazing how 30 minute blocks work? My problem is forgetting to do it consistently. I'm trying to get better at remembering, because it is so helpful to me to not let myself overdo it. Crossing my fingers that you can get done what you hope to!

      @TowardsASimpleLife I have a record player ... it's actually really convenient because by the time one side is done playing I'm usually ready for a little break. Sometimes I have energy to flip the album over and clean / declutter through another side. 😊

    You are one of the few people who understand how I feel and why I can’t do certain things. Vacuuming & mopping are the worst for me! Sometimes I can’t even do all the dishes at once so I tell myself “just take care of 10 things, then you can rest”. Then I rest for 15 minutes and go back and do 10 more things. Haha🤣

    I appreciate that you're showing us how to be kind to yourself - physically and mentally. This video certainly did that. What a great idea to set a timer for so many minutes and also to have a rest period. That's a very healthy and effective approach. Your son was so sweet to pick you up food (handsome young man). As a mom, I know how much that would make me feel seen and loved. I hope you and your husband recover fully soon. You're a good wife thinking of him and making sure you're taking stressors from him by cleaning (what he normally would) since he's in training for a new job! ❤

      Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. My son recently had to move back home. He sold his home, but even though he got some money for it, the prices of home (and rent) have gotten so high here that he couldn't afford them on his own even though he has a very good job. That's why three of my adult children live with me - they can't afford rent. It's much, much higher than our house payment. It's expensive even to rent a single room in a home! I'm grateful that we have a home large enough for all of them. It's nice to have my son around because he is very considerate of me and occasionally buys us food and things. He's really matured into a nice man. My husband and I are finally over the viruses we had. Yay!

    Good video! I was sorry to hear that you caught that "latest virus going around" bug, but are on the downside now so that's good. You got a lot accomplished in small bits of time! Well done! Two things: 1) I was glad to hear that your hubby found a job! Driving a bus for the public school will surely keep him busy - and hopefully he will have the same hours that the children do and have the summer off! and 2) I, too, have glass shelves in our fridge. And I use containers (which my family doesn't put things back in either) and they help to keep it clean. The other thing that I *love* is that I use Dollar Tree placemats for shelf liners in my fridge. These keep the refrigerator SO much cleaner! All you have to do is wash the mats and the glass shelves stay almost (almost) spotless. It was a game changer for me anyway.

      So glad you enjoyed it, Deb! He's almost through the training. He takes his formal road test on Thursday and is studying hard. Praying that he will pass it the first time. His trainers told him that he's doing well. Thanks for the tip about the placemats. I'm going to go to our Dollar Stores and see if I can find some.

    Thank you for the video and all the advices. Only in the past year this thought came to me: that I might not recuperate and I won't get to that 100% green. At the same time: it's not necessary to be in the best mood and in the best shape to move things forward. So it is necessary to embrace the imperfect and take breaks and so on. And this video is making me take this more seriously and and implement the strategies not just now and then but day after day after day. Hope you feel better soon.

      You're so welcome! I'm so glad it was helpful to you. It sounds like you have made a big step forward. Ironically, embracing the imperfect and working with your have helps me do better. My cold is over, so not I'm just working with the Fibro flare that always follows one, but I'll get through it and will feel better as I take care of myself. Hope you feel better too!

      @@TowardsASimpleLife I'm glad to hear that at least the cold is over. I struggle mostly with feeling foggy, weak and tired all the time. I had pain because vitamin D deficiency and I solved that. Then covid came along and I had pains again but my doctor said I'm fine. Luckily another doctor advised me to try CBD oil and I was taking collagen supplements at that time and now I rarely have pains. 🤞🤞🤞I didn't expect that at all.
